This is an auction for 11 metal( gold and some silver. So I am not sure what they are made of with 12 inserts( you get an extra! The inserts are like a thin plastic material, although some are a little thicker than others. I am guessing celluloid or Bakelite. I do not see any cracks on the insets. They are a lovely yellowish and orangish colors. Each one different. The handles themselves measure about 6 1/2 inches long. Profile about 1 inch. This is a Vintage Set of Ten W E Rhyne Solid Brass Owl Drawer Pulls plus three owl pulls with identical backplates but with slightly mistmatched bales. These pulls are 25 or more years old as noted below. I do not know if they are specifically a reproduction of an antique design or simply an original design in an antique style. The lot includes: Five brass owl pulls. Complete and still in their original plastic wrappers Five brass owl pulls. Each with backplate, eye screws, and bales, but missing the nuts which can be easily and inexpensively replaced at any hardware store Three brass owl pulls with the same backplate as the other ten. But with a somewhat different design on the bale. These three have the eye bolts, but they are also missing the nuts. I believe we may have used some of the pulls in the latter two groups at some time in the ... morepast. The backplates and bales appear to be solid brass. And we will guarantee your satisfaction in that regard. The eyebolts are are steel and have a silver-steel color. Each backplate is 4 1/8" in maximum length. Each owl head is 1 1/2" tall. The owl heads are in fairly high relief with a maximum overall depth of 1/2" The holes for the eyebolts are on about 2 15/16" centers. The maker's original gold and black foil sticker is on most but not all of the backplates. It is shown in a closeup photo and it reads: MADE IN KOREA FOR W. E. This is a lot of 16 pressed glass drawer knobs. They are amber in color with a waffle pressed pattern. Most of the knobs are in good shape. They all need to be cleaned. Some of them have some chips or flea bites. The hardware that is included is only for 15 of the knobs. The hardware is worn. The knobs measure approximate 3 inches in diameter and are about 1 inch tall. These are vintage pieces. Probably at least 80 years old. They are being sold"as is.
