Individually, all of the parts I have managed to salvage from a beautiful, very old Venetian hand made pale green, sea green, glass chandelier. ... moreThose of you who are used to handling 18th. 19th. century glass will probably be able to tell at a glance that this chandelier was a very old piece. In my opinion. The chandelier which these pieces have come from, could be as early as 1750 in date and I doubt any later than 1820. I believe it to be Venetian glass, hand made on the island of Murano. Every piece is either mouth blown with folded rims and crimped vermicular decoration, or hand crafted lampwork with twists and hand cut decorative edges. The central stem is hand wrought with hand made threads and locking split pin. You will see that the pictures are taken specifically to show the texture and structure of the glass. Showing where possible the impurities, bubbles and seeds embedded within. The chandelier was originally made for candles,six light) but was converted to electric in the early twentieth century. The convertion has had very little effect on the pieces being offered here. The description and condition for each individual part is set out below. These are a wonderful example of craftsmanship, very ornate and decorative, as found condition, the bases are both loose from the column itself, and on of the bases needs to be re-glued back together, slightly tapered at the top and fluted for the bottom portion, the one base does have a split starting at the base, some age cracks on the wood from age, complete some scuffs and scratches wear as you would expect with age and use, great as is or wonderful if you just freshened with some poly, these are large and measure 92 1/8" high the column itself, and it measures 10 1/4" wide at the base and slightly tapers to roughly 8 1/2"9" at the top, the base plates itself measure 12" wide and 1 3/4" high, the top of the columns measure 12" by 12" hallow ... morepole, does show signs of wear and age, highly decorative, great pair of poles just under 8' because of the size this will be listed as a pick up only but we will assist you in with anything we can

Antique Mantel with Original Beveled Mirror, Columns, Egg&Dart-Medium Wood Tone
For sale is this lovely antique mantel with beveled mirror which came out of a house in Ashe County. NC that was 100+ years old. The mantel has a column on either side of the opening and the mirror is trimmed with egg and dart moulding. There is also a decorative oval design on either side of the mirror and side. Dimensions are as follow: Opening- width 41 1/2" x length 41 1/2" overall: 60 1/4" width x 72 1/4" height. The mantel is completely refinished in a warm tone and boxed for immediate installation. The box is about 10 3/4" from back to front. The mirror is 39 1/2" width x 15 1/2" height. The mirror has an obvious scratch but no cracks or major damage and I believe it is the original mirror with no re-silvering. Some of the wood on the shelf needed extra repair and upon close inspection, the former ... moredamage can be detected. There is some damage to the base where the columns are mounted that caused some of the surrounding wood to be missing. In the process of refinishing, that has been reshaped to be rounded on the corners. The decorations are in excellent condition and while it is simple, the ovals and egg/dart decorations add just the right touch. Thanks so much for looking! I am selling these for a private owner. I leave any cleaning to the new owner. This clock is from the collection of a 97 year old man. There are about a hundred of them I will be listing. I give no guarantee as to them working or their timeliness. As with most items. The condition varies. Please keep in mind their age and that they have been stored somewhere in his house. Please look closely to the photos as there is too much to describe. Clock is sold in AS IS condition and may or may not be original. The alpha at the end of the title is my reference. Clock is 35 x 14. Beautiful case but for fading probably from dusting. Center lady face piece needs reattachment. The chime is dulled as I think the hammer is not perfectly lined up, but is strikes on the hour and half. It has 10 columns and a red subtract button on the side. Serial#A464078. Made in Detroit. Michigan. The asking price is for ONE COMPLETE PAIR OF COLUMNS but I have EIGHT COMPLETE COLUMNS. Each column includes a very ornate Corinthian. Hemp reinforced plaster capital, a sturdy wooden column, and a waterproof(I think polyurethane) base. They stand approximately sixteen feet tall total. They can however, be cut to any shorter length to fit a variety of height requirements. They have spent their entire, approx. 15 yr. life indoors in a year-round climate controlled environment but are also suitable for decades of outdoor use with proper finishing. Up for auction is this Lot of 8 Antique Architectural Wooden Porch Columns. Pre-owned. Salvaged from local farm house. Specifics and Approximate Measurements: Hollow. 8 1/2 feet tall with base. 7 feet 11 inches tall- column only. 12 1/2 inch diameter. Top support is 15 5/8 inches square and wooden. Bottom support(base) is 16 inches square and concrete. Hollow wooden construction of 12 staves approximately 1 3/4 inches thick. Wood appears to be pine. 6 columns are intact. 2 columns need to be puzzled back together. See pictures. All 8 columns will be sold together for one price. Works and face. Measurements are 11" tall, 6 1/8" x 16 3/8" at base not including the feet and 4 1/2" across the face. Key and pendulum aren't pictured but are included; pendulum has a man sitting on a fence on one side and is lead colored with minor scratchy wear. Both springs are wound tight and clock doesn't run; it is sold'as is' When minute hand is turned, there is a nice little'ding' on the half hour. Chime on the hour is a nice deep mellow tone, some works noise but not unduly so. As to appearance, face paper has a small lifted spot at bottom ... moreand some scuffy surface wear in places as well as light dinginess. Just very minor wear on the piecrust bezel and inner ring of the face. Flat face glass is good, just has a partial label at center that needs cleaned off. Metal window frame is mostly of a darker shade of gold than the bezel with hints of the same gold, so apparently the darker is an undercoat with the top finish mostly worn off. Columns are a type of plastic and in good condition. They make complete cylinders; the one on an end with a seam and some green color just needed to be turned around. Nice decorative hardware, coppery finish nearly worn off on the feet, better on the couple top and bottoms and mostly remaining on the lion heads/rings. Case needs a little cleaning/shining up, mainly in nooks and crannies like around the columns. The adamantine or glossy marble look finish on the top has some chipping in places at edges here and there and one front cornertip which needs a little color touch-up, fine on the lower panels. Black finish is also glossy, will brighten up more once cleaned, just minor chipping on one front lower corner and the back and bottom edges. Very handsome clock overall. Direction label ha
