This is a nice pair of antique barley twist oak columns or posts that were salvaged from an antique French china cabinet. They measure aprox. 36" high x 2 1/2" in diameter. Overall they are in good condition. There are chips at the top and bottom where the nails were attached. One side is finished and the other side that was facing in is somewhat unfinished. We also have a slightly smaller pair presently listed. We will gladly combine lots whenever possible to save on shipping costs.

This is a beautiful Adamantine Mantel clock manufactured by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. in the early 1900's. It is in very good condition– black in color. Measurement: 12" tall. 14,5" wide, 7" deep. Every piece on this clock is original. The clock has original adamantine surface- nothing was painted or re-coated. Vintage Ansonia mantle clock. As shown. The clock face has Roman numerals and gold trim, along with a visible gear that spins. On each side of the clock face there are 3 marble pillars, and above the clock is a dome with a raised design which is slightly damaged, fortunately on the back side. The clock rings with a very soft ding every half hour, and is missing it's pendulum. The left side slate has a minor chip. The clock tics and dings smoothly and appears in good working condition. Up for sale is this rare antique Chinese Import clock manufactured by the Mei Weng Watch Company. Part of the label is missing, but it looks like it may have been manufactured for a third party. This is obviously a parts or repair project as it is missing its door and the case shows a good amount of wear, but I think it's too nice of a case to discard. It has an old American style brass movement similar to some other early Asian imports by Owari or Seikosha. The movement is not currently running and there is no key. It measures about 14 1/4" tall and 14 1/2" across.

For your consideration is this beautiful antique quartersawn oak fireplace mantel. This comes out of an old mansion in the Columbus. Ohio area. The mantel is in pretty good shape. It is in its original finish. The finish has some wear as you can see. The top shelf has been painted brown on the top side only. There are a few knicks here and there but overall a great looking piece. The overall dimensions are 51.5" wide X 49" high. The opening is 30.5" wide X 28" high. Nice pair of 1/4 sawn oak columns. Each column stands 5' 5-5/8" tall. Has 6-1/4" square base. Egg and dart retail on top. Columns sections are approximately 4-1/4" dia. Has flat spot on each column at top that sits against wall(shown in picture) There are some holes. Rather small. There are more in one column and those holes are shown in one of the pictures. Antique Mantel Clock- Columns and Lions Heads- a Beauty!
This mantle clock came from the estate of a wealthy Pacific Northwest couple. It is 15 inches wide across its bronze feet. 8 inches deep and 11 inches high. It has been richly embellished: the sides are decorated with lions' heads, the front has bronze-mounted columns. I believe the case is actually of wood then faux painted to resemble red marble. It has been in storage for several years; it ran prior to being moved into storage and has not been tried since. It has a windup key and a weight which were removed prior to storage. Up for sale is a fine wooden Japanese Soroban Abacus made in the 1930's. The wood is a rich chestnut brown. With beads of a slightly darker tone. The wood has taken on a rich, bright patina. Notice the joinery at the top and bottom and at each corner, and the tiny tacks along the back. There are thirteen columns with six beads per column. Beautiful old crystal floor lamp. Thick and heavy crystal column pieces. Heavy brass base. Each crystal column is 4" at its widest. the lamp measures 64" tall. Shade is just an old cheapie and not included. Just to give you an idea how it might look. There are clear stickers on some of the crystal pieces that say"made in Hungary" I will have to take it apart to ship but will include good directions for re-assembling it. Up for your consideration is a SETH THOMAS CHANDOS MODEL RARE 6 OPEN COLUMNS RED MAHOGANY ADAMANTINE MANTLE CLOCK- UN-RESTORED complete clock case with all the trimmings(with a key and pendulum) The Rare 6 Open Columns really set off this clock. The case is a nice one(there is some dings along the top back edge which can be repaired) rest of the case looks pretty good the front top and bottom corners ... moreare in great shape with no chipping or cracks. There is very slight haze. But with cleaning will be shiny and new in no time(any help I can give in restoration from what I have seen him do, please do ask) It is better to do a good job than a slop-shod job on any restoration. The movement is a 4-1/2 and looks like it is all there and needs a good cleaning and servicing(because it will run for a few minutes then stop) There is a partial paper on lower back bottom. Original to the clock. The name CHANDOS is stamped on the bottom board. All the finale, large lion like special feet and bezel with dial are original and will need cleaned as with the rest. After this one is cleaned up; you will have a beauty of a clock.
