1970s Tama Imperialstar Concert Toms With Tom Mount Bracket
I have for sale a pair of low pitch Tama concert toms: 15" x 12(deep) and 14" x 10" deep) These drums date from the mid-1970s and are in good condition. The following link from the 1975 Tama drum catalog shows these drums quite accurately: http:www.tamadrum.co.jp/anniversary/expansion.php?cat_id=16&now=8 The toms come with the appropriate Tama tom mount bracket having a main post diameter of 1 1/8" this is the standard opening on 1970s and'80 Tama bass drum tom mount brackets) The bearing edges remain in excellent condition. There are some spots on the bottom(non bearing) edges of both drums where they are chipped. The chrome is in good condition. Although there is minor pitting on all of the lugs and on the tom mount brackets. The wrap on these drums was originally blue and at some point in their existence. Were ... morepainted black. The wrap has scuffs and there is a couple spots where the original blue can be seen(photo#12) To reduce the shipping costs. The 14" tom will be stripped of its hardware and sheathed inside the 15" tom. The buyer will need to reapply the lugs, bracket and head. Both heads are well used. Up for bids is an FSA BB86 press fit bottom bracket(also fits BB 90/92 bottom bracket shells) It was taken off a bike I recently purchased after about 500 miles of use. It is part number BB-CF86. I'm not 100% sure of the crankset compatibility. according to FSA it is for use with FSA carbon cranks, but it came factory installed with an FSA gossamer alloy crankset and worked just fine. It is for use with 24mm spindle diameter cranks. I recently switched to a Shimano crankset and went ahead and swapped this out for a Shimano BB while I was at it.
