Pair Antique Hand Forged Iron Strap Hinges for Barn Door w/ Hardware c. 1880's
Pair of Antique Hand Forged Iron Strap Hinges For a Barn Door or Old Door with Primitive Hardware. Offering a pair of beautiful hand forged antique iron strap door hinges with hardware. Circa 1880’s. It appears the straps were forged as a pair because the viewable design(as it would display on a door) has the same pattern. I.e. both having two holes that are set roughly the same distance apart. Plus. The white spots are on both and the heart finials are shaped basically the same with one ticking off to the top and one to the bottom. The top hinge is 15” long and is rolled back and flatten. It has a 5/8” hole. The 15 ¾” bottom strap’s roll back is shorter and more finely forged into the main body of the strap. The straight 5” drivable piece fits well under the 15” top strap. In other words. It lines up perfectly so a pin can be inserted though both pieces. All that is missing. To make the whole set complete, is the pin. The hinge pin for the bottom is 5 ½” long by 2 ½” at the widest part. The size is such that it will fit both straps if someone wanted to switch the smaller strap to the bottom for some reason. They have a beautiful aged and untouched patina with good form and design. Both have breathtaking. Well formed hearts/spears ends. They are in excellent“as found” condition. I think the white on the straps is from aged. Dried out bird poop but I’m not positive. I’ll leave the clean up to the buyer as it’s my policy to sell antiques in their original or as found condition. Selling a pair of barn door rollers and track. The barn door rollers seem to be from the J.E. Porter Co. Ottowa. ILL 1901.The rollers glide great and I lubed them up a bit, but haven't touched the track. Everything is in great shape for being this old and the rollers fit the track great. The rollers are about 12" long and 4" deep. The track is split into two different sections with a total length of 148 1/8" 76 1/8& 6' and is about 1.5" deep. They do have dirt. Surface rust, grime and aging. These are from an estate sale and are being offered in condition that they were obtained. I did take a cloth and wipe some of the dust off of them. There is no major rust damage. Only light surface rust. Which I left. Adds character. They seem to function perfectly. They measure 8" in length and 5" tall when collapsed. From outside of one wheel to the outside of the other it measures 2 1/2" This set has a nice patina to them. So they could be used for show or add some oil and hardware and put them to use. 4 antique barn door rollers with 16' of track
4 antique barn door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the[3" wheels turn freely. These rollers are made to work on small to medium size doors. The door straps are set for doors around 1 3/4" thick. These rollers are in good working condition. There are 8 original bolts and square nuts included. And they are in good working condition also. The matching two 8' by 1 1/4" by 3/16" track pcs are good and straight with all the original wall brackets well attached. Thank you for viewing our barn hardware listing. ANTIQUE BARN DOOR CAST HORSESHOE ROLLERS ON WOOD 1800 ART CRAFT DECOR HARDWARE
Here is a functional set of barn door rollers. Still on the original wood. The total length of the board is 41" 19" at the widest part with the broken board. The main board is 6-1/2" X 1" There are lots of nails in it. The metal attached to the boards are 2-1/2" wide. The wheels are about 3-1/2" the covers around them are 5" across. ONE OF THE WHEELS ARE BROKEN! It rolls fine. But it does have a chunk broken off that spans about 2" They are both marked PAT MAY 28-0, I'm assuming that means 1800, especially since the wood measurements are true, but I'm no expert. This can ship via UPS or can be picked up. We are located about an hours drive from Indianapolis, Louisville or Cincinnati.
