PLEASE NOTE: I have many more of the 2-bulb chandeliers in another listing. The fixtures came out of an old hotel in Abilene, Kansas(the birthplace of Dwight Eisenhower) The chandeliers have numerous details which are quite nice. I love the very long finials. The arms are also beautifully detailed. And have a subtle Viennese Secessionist-like quality. The chain holders are also very nice. Originally. The main bodies would have been painted. However, this was long gone when I acquired the set. Without knowing what the original color was, I decided to leave well enough alone and simply gently polished the brass(which has a slightly mottled patina) The cast-iron components(the arms, finial, and chain flourish) seem to retain their original gold finish. Curiously. The back-plates on two of the sconces are steel. So, I did a burnished gold finish on these, and on the third sconce(which has a brass back-plate) so it matches. Also, two sconces have switches to their right side(see image) these are new, too. The third sconce has a turn-key socket switch. Not all the fixtures are restored and rewired yet. This will take up to a week after payment is received. The fixtures will have lovely new cloth-covered wiring. This set will be shipped wholly restored and with new wiring. This is a One of a kind creation. The shade measures about 10 inches across and about 14 1/2 inches diagonally and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The chain is new and has a factory aluminum color. The ceiling canopy was sanded and repainted and is from the same era. There is a very nice cream with a silver color pattern from top to bottom. There are two new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. This amazing light fixture can be adjusted to hang between 21 and 29 inches from the ceiling. Overall this fine piece measures in at 17"A with a 27" ceiling drop length(measurement of drop does not include the addition of shades) Condition is as follows/ shown: Unpolished original patina remains. Two of the bells have cracks but are able to secure shades(last 2 pics) Several of the screws which hold the shades in are missing. Otherwise the fixture is void of dents. The total length/drop of this gorgeous fixture is approximately 22" with a shade at about 12" wide. In good condition with only slight signs of use! The shade is designed in a beautiful grapes or berries motif between frosted and clear glass. The top rim is in a geometric pattern complementing the column and bobeche with a sunburst/flower center. The shade is finished off with nickel accents and a crystal ball to reflect the light nicely. The fixture has been fitted with new nickel canopies. STUNNING!! Vintage Antique Art Noveau/Art Deco Chandelier
Absolutely gorgeous and unusual 5 light Art Nouveau/Art Deco chandelier. I can't say exactly when this was made but based on the patina I would say the 1940's. The gentleman I bought it from 5 years ago said that it hung the same house in Montreal for over 40 years. There is no maker's mark except for the initials"tm" on the inside of the ceiling cap. The diffusion of light from the yellow/peachy shades is absolutely stunning. It's like looking into five little fireplaces. The glasswork on the shades is incredible. They are silky smooth to the touch. As you can see in one of the pictures there is a small chip on one of the shades. I placed the chipped one at the top and it is virtually unnoticeable when hung. The metalwork is equally brilliant with incredibly detailed leaves wrapping around the cups that hold the ... moreshades. When hung the light is 33 inches long and 21 wide. It does need a somewhat higher ceiling to breathe and to be fully appreciated which is the reason I am selling it. Antique Art Deco 5 slip shade Markel Chandelier
The chandelier and all 5- ribbed) slip shades are original. This beautiful piece of antiquity was manufactured by the Markel Electric Company sometime in the 1920-1930’s. The semi-flush mount chandelier has a classic Art Deco ziggurat. Skyscraper and foliates embellishments, as well as, striking light honey colored shell detailed slipper shades. I was advised by experts not to recondition the chandelier. Doing so would only devalue it. The piece has a beautiful aged patina. There are so small paint chips on the chandelier. This is to be expected of a fixture almost 90-years old. The chandelier has an aluminum frame and an iron canopy. The diameter of the chandelier frame is 11" It hangs 37" from the ceiling(adjustable length) The chandelier has been professionally rewired and all components are in very good condition. Really quite lovely. Here we have a fine French chandelier by Ezan that just demonstrates the variations of the Art Deco design in one lovely fixture. Circa 1920-30. It is truly a lovely chandelier. The shades are really quite unique. Heavy cast glass. With heavy embossed designs. Added to those lovely shades are the lovely drips of glass down the body of the chandelier. And you can see the design excellence we can see from Erté. This chandelier has been completely re-wired in our UL shop with new American sockets and all new wire. There are three candelabrum sockets within the center bowl. So the light peeks out of the side windows and illuminates the bottom shade. The five shades around the center bowl are also wired with American candelabrum sockets built inside the orginal French/British style B-22 pin socket housing. Kinda clever.so ... morenow we can use the original shades without any noticeable difference at all. Art Deco hammered Bronze copper ceiling light w pr sconces 1920 chandelier
Art Deco period hammered light fixture with 5 light holders. Chain and canopy. There are also 2 matching wall sconces. They look like a cross between bronze and copper. They are far more beautiful than the pictures show. All rewired and ready to be hung. These are out of a grand home in Indiana. The chandelier measures 18" across the bottom. The body is 21" long and when you include the chain and canopy the drop is 39" It is much more attractive than the pictures show. There are no breaks, cracks or damage that I can find. It is about 20 lbs. There are also two matching sconces. The sconces measure 9 1/4" tall and 4 3/8" wide. There are no cracks, breaks or damage. The original decorative nuts for fastening them to the wall are there and the switches are operable. The back of the sconces are embossed: Halcolite Pat ... moreapplied for. For your consideration is a Wonderful Antique Chandelier probably from the 1920's era. Poly-chrome 5 arm Chandelier. With raised wick arms. The ceiling base is stamped Pat. Pend in USA 912. The chandelier is also stamped Pat. Pend Made in USA DESIGN the maker is hard to read. In marker is written LS N CB co. I believe that is what it reads. You can see it is lit and would be great in an entry or over a table. I have wick style bulbs in place. They are just for show and do not come with the lamp. The chandelier can hang as low as 36" and higher with adjusting the chain. The cast chandelier does show its age with the silver cast has some tarnish to it. The Color hues makes it a pretty light. Colors seen are Red. Green and blue. The ceiling face plate is 5 1/4" diameter to the ceiling and you can see someone has place two new screws ... morein the top. You just need to tarnish them or scuff them up. The wiring is newer from the ceiling to the light. The light wiring is original and with any vintage lights should be inspected by a professional before hanging it in the house. Elegant Vintage F rench Art Deco Vasque Chand elier in Blue. A beautiful light with an abundance of period detail. In the French modernist style it has a chrome ceiling rose with clean simple lines typical of this period and the dark varnished wooden central column below that is made of two sections separated by a pair of chrome bands. The shade is simply lovely. Both in colour and shape. It is a pale blue pate de verre bowl, with mottled white flecks throughout, it is round with a geometric design around the top which is accentuated by silver highlighting and tapers down at the bottom to a wide conical base. A large chrome plate and finial at the centre of the base completes the light. In good vintage condition the chrome has a few spots commensurate with age. Which I am sure could be polished out if you wish. There is a small crack to the ... morebowl around the top around 5cms, however due to the mottled glass it is unnoticeable when hung and in no way detracts from the lights grace and elegance. From my personal collection is this stunning, elegant, fully restored, LARGE, Art Deco/Nouveau Chandelier, circa 1930's. It has been professionally restored to its original grandeur and is in like new, mint condition. It features 5 brand new, glazed porcelain sockets, all antique glass and a beautiful, amber and clear glass shade. It hangs approx. 35 1/2" and is 15 1/4" wide. Adjustable between 26" and 35 1/2" Details: Antique glass shade: Shade is in mint condition and has heavily molded out leaf type pattern. Very visually interesting with lots of depth. No chips, cracks, fleabites or stains. Color is a medium amber. I do think that the pictures I was able to take show it ... morea bit lighter than it actually is. It's over 15" wide and it's quite heavy and thick. This is a warm color that goes with any color scheme. I have taken pictures both lit and unlit so you can see how beautiful it looks both ways! Rewired with period correct gold. Cloth covered wire. 5 beautiful. Brand new glazed porcelain sockets, each holding up to 60 watt bulb. There is plenty of room to use normal size light bulbs with a standard base, but used the fat based candle shaped bulbs in my pictures. Great use of semi-indirect lighting, and also lights up a room very well with all that wattage! Antique glass parts: The column and the glass at the ceiling are thick. Heavy antique glass, quite massive, and matches the rest of the fixture in proportion. Absolutely no cracks or chips. The metal parts: The metal parts just above and below the glass column pieces are. I believe, pot metal, which is zinc. This was very commonly used instead of brass in the early 1900's because it didn't rust, was less expensive than brass, and could be finished beautifully. Very nice light fixture. Featuring an antique shade with blue and clear glass, the blue has a"bubble" texure, the clear edges have a"swagged" design, like swagged fabric. Very pretty. Glass inserts on the rod of clear, blue and clear, new chrome canopy, finished with new brass glass finial(the brass and chrome look really great together! Glass is in great shape, no chips or other flaws. The light is more blue looking when turned on than it shows in the photos, the photos washed out slightly when the light was on. Vintage Art Deco Antique Chandelier Ceiling Huge 33 inches around Grape Pattern
Here we have a Vintage Globe light.Grape Pattern as shown in the Pictures. This is a large one. Globe measures 33" around. It is 19 inches tall counting mounting. It does have the original plug in wiring inside a chain. It has appx 10 feet of chain and wiring. It works. Does need a good cleaning, but no damage to the globe at all. Antique Art Deco Signed Riddle Chandelier Ceiling Fixture Lights 4 Sconces TLC
Hi Everyone! This auction is for a signed Riddle Co. Art Deco 5 light ceiling fixture and 4 sconces also signed Riddle. Chandelier measures approximately 17" tall and 20 1/2" wide at it's widest point. Two sconces are double lighted and two are single. All fixtures need restored. One sconce has a missing decorative center screw& pull chains need replaced. There is more hardware from the back of sconces that is also missing as seen in photos. There is an extra decorative screw seen by the chandelier as seen in photos but the threaded screw part is skinnier than the sconce screws. Also, the chandelier is more darker creamy yellow like seen in close up photos. Sconces are lighter in color. One of the chandelier bulb holders is slightly crooked& it looks as if it may have been painted in this position. The cardboard sconce ... morecandles and sconces have peeling paint. Original Art Deco Brass & Globe Antique 5 Light Chandelier w Touch of Nouveau
Original art deco(ith a slight touch of art nouveau in the webbing of the brass) chandelier with five arms and lights. It has no damage and the globes can be changed(there is an extra that came with the light) I am way from home and I think the measurements are as follows: roughly 20-21" wide including the plump globes and is about 14" from the bottom finial to where the chain is attached. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique chandelier. This brass chandelier was manufactured by Sechrist of Denver, Colorado. It has a patent date of 1912. The chandelier is in the mission/craftsman design and features all original parts. The paddle switches are stamped Perkins. The chandelier features a two arm design with brass crossbar. The chain is very nice and features squared links. The fixture is meant to fit flush against the ceiling. The chandelier has two glass shades which are from the Art Deco(1920s) period. The shades are stamped"Dolan Designs" They are very rough cut at the fitter which indicates their age. The are beautiful. They have an interior"fog" of frost which gives them a cased glass look to the exterior. They are a very nice accent to the chandelier even though they are about 10 years"newer" ... moreThe chandelier is in original condition, including wiring. It has not been refinished or sprayed and does have some"aged" character. The brass does have age spots and the iron chain has lost some of its gilded finish. But, it is quite beautiful in its current condition. The shades are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, etc. The chandelier is 23" tall and 22" wide.
