These are in great condition. The wall sconces are made of aluminum and are very art deco, they are 13" long and signed Lincoln with the# 10604. They would need to be rewired. The Glass slip shades are in great condition, with only a few flea nicks along the edge which is normal, where they were taken off and on to change the light bulb. The pattern is Flue Delis and they are a light peach color. The glass shade is 6 1/4" tall. Nice to have a pair of matching ones. This auction price is for the pair-2 sconces-as pictured. They are 19 teens-mid 1920's wall lamps with period antique solid(not cased with clear) milk opal glass shades. The sconces have been cleaned and waxed and should match rubbed bronze hardware quite well. The brass has not been painted and will only get better with time. Look closely at the pictures. There are some very minor dings and light areas in the patina. They are old not new. T he Paulding porcelain paddle switch sockets are new old stock and have a strong click that will outlast any that are currently made. They stick out 6" and the back plate is 4 x 6 inches. They are 11" from top to bottom. The ... moreembossed antique shades are period and better than any cased with clear that you see today. These shades look very good using fluorescent(which is what they are photographed with) or LED bulbs because they are opaque white. There are no flaws worth mentioning and may have some flakes on the rims. Everything is brass that shows. I added hardware, ground, and period wire. The sconces have been cleaned and waxed and should match rubbed bronze hardware quite well. The brass has not been painted and will only get better with time. Look closely at the pictures. There are some very minor dings and light areas in the patina. They are old not new. T he Circle F porcelain paddle switch sockets are new old stock and have a strong click that will outlast any that are currently made. They stick out 5 3/4" and the back plate is 4 x 6 inches. This stunning pair of sconces hung on either side of the mantle in the master bedroom of the Morton Salt Mansion. Just outside of Chicago. Each one of these beautiful sconces has six lights and they are 49" tall by 13 3/4" wide. The sconces are gold gilt metal with gold gilt handcarved wooden bobeshes holding the crystal bobeshes. They have all of their original macaroni beadwork, each scroll on this ornate pair of sconces is lined with beads. As pictured, one of the sconces is a bit brighter gold than the other, one took more soot from the fireplace than the other, but they are still an absolutely stunning pair of sconces. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of antique wall sconce planters/pockets. This lovely pair are a combination of cast iron(backs) with twisted wrought iron and twisted wire fronts. The cast iron backs feature ornate arched tops with open. Curved line detailing and fleur de lis accents on the tops. They are taller than the fronts of the sconces. The front sections feature alternating twisted wrought iron and twisted thick iron wire vertical pieces. They extend upward and arch outward so the pockets are deep. They are completed with two horizontal bands of wrought iron for the top border. In between the iron are side pieces of scrolled iron with a center floral medallion. This is a wonderful old pair of antique Arts and Crafts Gothic gilt forged iron and brass foliate wall sconces. They probably date from the teens or 1920s. This is a really incredible pair of sconces. The detail and finish is wonderful. I found a pair with a very similar feeling online that were marked E. F. Caldwell. But these unfortunately aren't marked. If you Google Caldwell foliate sconces you will find a similar pair(though I must say not nearly as nice! for sale at $4900. I don't know how heavily they were colored when originally made. But the current color/patina is truly superb. The finish has not been touched. They have the original wiring. Which MUST be changed! Antique Hardwood Repurposed Loom Shuttle Candle Sconces. Vintage. Brass fittings
This was a really cool find out of Brimfield. Massachusetts. It is a pair of antique loom shuttles that have been repurposed as sconces. The sconces are a hard wood with a brass fittings. The quill has been stabilized, and a piece of scrolled wood with a candle holder has been attached to it. It hangs nicely on the wall, with only a nail in the wall necessary to hang it. The loom shuttle has a maker's mark on it. But I do not recognize it. It appears to be a small"H" with a large"S" looking very much like the American dollar sign. The sconces are 19.5" long and 2.25" wide. The candle holder portion sticks out 5" from the wall. A PAIR of Antique THEATER SCONCES Light Fixtures! Here we have very cool and very scarce find. A pair of antique light fixtures. Sconces, that I am told came out of an old theater that was being torn down. These were purchase in New York around 20 years ago. They were probably hanging on either the wall above the aisles or over the doorways into the theater. They look to be from the early part of the century to me. These lights are huge. Measuring approximately 26" long by 6" wide. Beautiful Art Nouveau. Deco flower and scroll design that would work either horizontally or vertically. They are metal with wood backing and are quite heavy. Looks like they were originally painted gold and one of them is worn more to the metal than the other. One has original inside fixture. The other needs replacing, this should be an easy find and ... morethe backs come off very easily. The last photo. although not a very good photo-sorry) show the one with the fixture lit, to give you an idea of the pretty glow they make when working. Of course even though this one worked, I would rewire it anyway. These would be amazing brought back to the original look. Amazing pair of OLD crystal sconces that were here when I bought my condo 12 years ago. Pair is the operative word. Really one and a half. The previous owners had very high-end antiques and left these on the wall. 27" tall x 16" wide. These are hard to capture in photos. No doubt these were very upscale in their day. There are various broken areas. I am not even sure I put the"good" display one together correctly, but I think it is. These have been sitting in the closet for years so I finally thought why not give a fun project to some Ebayer! Perhaps these are best parted-out. But seems like a waste for them to just be in a box. An antique with antique qualities! Obviously would look better with tall candles in. Used as a single piece it could be an amazing accent to a narrow wall or column, as it is art in itself! Liberace would be proud! Sconce 2) Where to start. One arm completely missing. Top center star is affixed by what seems to be a thimble which was glued on as its mount. The Pair are like no other I have seen before with the back plate being in the shape of a Heart and Large Repousse Figural Lion Heads holding the Candlestick arms. The Sconces are so elegant and are of very fine quality. Fully marked as seen in our photos. The Candlestick Sconces are in excellent estate found condition with minor signs of age but certainly no wear to the base metal and the arms are nice and straight. The Sconces make for a wonderful display with the back plate measuring 5" tall by 4" wide and the arms extending out approx 7-1/4" I love this pair of sconces and I am sure the new owner will too!
