It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! The on/off switch is a black bakelite teardrop shape also marked ZEE. They can be used with the shade pointed down or up, the fitter ring measures 2 1/4" diameter and each has three flower head screws to hold the shade in place. These are quite tarnished and there's a few spots of verdigris. The wiring is original and should be replaced. Pair of Antique Bronze gimbled Wall Sconces very heavy old 1900s boat ship
These are a very impressive pair on bronze gimbled sconces with dolphins cast all the the way around the pierced font area. They are in good condition but will need to be rewired and new sockets(european sockets still intact) They are about 10 pounds each and measure 13" from the wall and are about 12" tall with a 3.5" fitter for the shades. One has a solid rod running through it to tighten it up and one has a screw snapped off in the fitter.They have some wax from previously being used for candles and a bit of paint on the wall plates(minor) These are mansion quality pieces and would be an easy restoration. We found a series of fantastic Art Deco lights that came from the depression era of America.circa 1936. We have catalog references for them showing some very unique designs. And so we have re-created the Manhattan Line consisting of two chandeliers and this fine sconce. Both chandeliers(part numbers 366-ZN1-CCL& 367-ZN1-CH) are listed on eBay. This is a pair of antique Victorian wall sconces. The bases of the lamps are some sort of painted metal and the actual candle lamp parts are fabric covered. Up for auction is(2) Antique 1920's Art Deco light sconces. Very rare set of sconces that I have never seen before or since I obtained this pair. Sconces are 100% original with no breaks or dings in the metal. Original brass lampholders were used. Reinsulated and rewired. These lights are copper plated brass with original orange peel textured glass. Antique copper) Each light has 8 pieces of glass in it. The original tabs that hold the glass in place has eroded away over time as they were very thin copper tabs. To hold the glass in place I used RTV silicone dabbed on several sides of each panel where the glass meets fixture. Turned out better than original tabs because they don't shake and rattle under the tabs. These lights are stunning and put off a wonderful amber glow. Five working heavy bronze electric wall sconces. Probably from the 1920s. I can't decipher the makers name, but each is marked NY PAT PEND and 1002 S. Candle cups are separately marked 1004-S. Each sconce measures 10 1/2 inches long; projects about 4 1/2 inches from the wall and at the widest point of the shield, about 4 1/2 inches wide. Polychrome is fading, but they are decorated with shades of blue and pink(probably faded red. Each weighs about 2 pounds for a total shipping weight of 10 pounds before packing. There is excess polish on all of them, so they do need a good cleaning, but they are absolutely worth the effort. All are rewired with new sockets. We are not sure of the exact age but they look to be quite old. Most likely mid-century. The sockets may have been replaced. These are very large fixtures and would look amazing on the entrance to any building. They are signed and were made by the Morton Company and the model number is 455. These sconces can be used indoor or outdoor(with the proper mounting box) They are being sold as working. The wall plates seem to be bass clad spelter however the rest of the fixture is made of cast brass or bronze. They have a very nice patina to them. This listing features a pair of antique gild wall sconces. Or brackets. These sconces measure 7.5 long x 6 1/2 wide, x 3 3/4 inches deep. They are in beautiful condition- the gilding was applied over a red rub, and is still in beautiful condition, given their age. These sconces have not been spray painted, as some of the other's I've seen. They are made of solid wood, not plastic, and hand carved. They bear the usual marks of sconces of this age. There is one small nail, as shown in photo number three, and it was placed there by the maker. I have never removed it. Please email any questions you may have as they will be answered each evening.
