Co. of New Britain, CT around the turn of the previous century. Each hinge is made of solid, heavy, thick steel. The hinges were originally copper plated, but most of the plating wore off over the years leaving the parts with a nice, distressed finish. All 3 have a five-knuckle design with ball-tip finials on each end. At the point of salvage. The pins wouldn't ... morebudge, and the hinges were dirty and rusty(see last photo) Much time was spent removing the pins, and thoroughly cleaning the parts in attempt them to bring them back to their original splendor. Set#1: The hinges are in great shape. Free of breaks, cracks, chips, and gouges. The 3 pins of will not go in all of the way. One sticks out 1/16" another 1/8" and another 3/8" The top of the pin that sticks out 3/8" is slightly bent. Set#2: The lower finial-the one not connecting to the pin-broke off of one of the hinges in. The bottommost knuckle(shaft or barrel) also has 2 small breaks. Which must have occurred when the finial broke off. Otherwise, the hinges are in great shape. Each hinge has some pitting. Which adds a nice, distressed element to their lovely, classic designs. 4 Antique 5.5"x5.5" Cast Bronze Victorian Exterior Door Ball Tip Finial Hinges
Penn Antique Restoration. 4 Antique Cast Bronze Victorian Door Hinges 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" What a rare find! Available for purchase is a set of 4 heavy-duty hinges made during the late 1800's. Each hinge is made of solid. Heavy, thick, cast bronze, not plated iron. They have a 3-knuckle design with only 1 ball-tip finial each. We originally acquired these hinges in 2007 from a Pennsylvania home. Only 2 of the hinges(the 2 in the bottom of the first photo) had their original pins with ball finials. And the other 2 had steel rods with flat tops. None of the hinges had the matching ball finials which screwed onto the bottoms of the pins. We found 2 pins with ball finials in our collection that were similar to the original 2, and we replaced the 2 flat-top rods. Unfortunately, one of the pins is a bit shorter(the 1 in the upper left ... morecorner of the first photo) and thinner than the inside of the shaft. As a result. The threaded portion doesn't stick out of the bottom of the shaft, and even if we could find a matching ball finial to screw on, we wouldn't be able to. Also, since the rod is thinner, the halves could be pulled from the center by 1/16" This could be resolved by removing the rod, coiling a thin wire around it or wrapping the rod in thin metal sheeting, and then reinserting it into the shaft so that it fits more snug. We were planning on installing the hinges on a pair of doors that we were restoring. But the customer ended up going with 6 smaller hinges. Afterwards, we put them to the side hoping that we could find the matching finials to complete them, but we haven't had any luck. Since it is so hard to find 4 matching. Ornate, solid bronze hinges in this size and in great condition, we figured that someone out there would love to have them even if they don't have the finials. Antique Hinges 3.5x3.5" Steeple tip Nickel plated
Two(2) PAIR Steeple tip hinges from ca. 1890 1900. I have been doing historic homes and parts for 40 yrs and have never seen Nickel plated steel hinges. I had these for 40+ years and until I stripped them with chemical stripper I never knew they were plated. The plated is NOT perfect but considering there age its pretty good. The tips have little plating left but appear pretty cool like this. They are removable pin. NO screws come with them.

This heavy pine door was salvaged from a home in Indianapolis, IN, and features vertical wood planks. The door is adorned with three gigantic, decorative cast bronze hinges, with pierced scrollwork and pyramid stud buttons. What I have here is a set of 6 Large Brass Ornate Hinges. As for age I can only Guess. They came out of our old home when the front door needed replaced and I did not have the heart to let the contractor have the old parts. So take a look at the pictures I did a clean up the best I could and removed 100 Plus years of paint. I had no idea they were so beautiful. Our old home was a Victorian that was 112 years old but after retiring the utilities bills alone would have been too much of an expense. 1880s Architectural Salvage Shaped Oak Board w/Hinges from Antique Pump Organ Description Up for sale is this estate rescued Oak board from an antique Beckwith Pump Organ! This piece was the foot board beneath the pedals on the pump organ. The hinges were attached to the heals of the pedals by 2 screws and driven through this piece with a very large staple shaped piece of metal. As you can see in the photos to the left and above. We had straightened the ends of the staples to allow for removal of the boot pedals. This piece has shaped ends that originally extended beyond the sides of the pedals. The finish varies on this piece depending on what was visible and what was not. Take a good look at the photos and don't hesitate to ask any questions. This board measures 17 1/4" x 5 1/4" x about 3/4" thick. The manufacture date ... moreon the organ had faded but the latest patent dates listed on the label were from the 1880s. These hinges came out of a house I lived in that was built in the early 1900s. Very solid and heavy. These hinges were used on the servant's saloon door to the kitchen. And swung both directions. Not sure, but I think they might be called Saloon Hinges. There was some work done to them, looks like a repair on the corner of one of the hinges. See picture number 8. Does not affect operation.
