This is a nice package of 2 antique fishing reels. Used. As far as I know these reels are in fine working order but I don't know very much about them. The smaller reel on the left is a Sunnybrook Union Hardware Co. Torrington, Conn. reel. The larger reel on the right only has"Arbeco" on it and"09" stamped on the foot. This is a great collectible Antique Sterling Family Scale made by Simmons Hardware Co. of St. Louis. Mo. These scales are circa early 1900's and are unique in weighing by ounces and up to 24 lbs. As photos show, scale has aged patina and paint fade from the many years, no dents, graphics are readable, scale mechanism in working order with calibration setting on top, being a vintage item sold as is. In great refurbished condition these four barn door trolleys fit a standard old flat track(1 1/4" wide with about 1/8"+- thickness) Measurements are approximate but close. 11" overall height. Strap thickness is 1 5/8" clearance between strap where the door goes) would probably fit width of a 2x4(1 1/2" + a 3/4" board. Wheel diameter is 3 3/4" Expect some minor remaining signs of age and wear- they are fully functional. Well oiled and cleaned/restored. Here is an Antique Baby Carriage Manufactured by The F.A. Whitney Carriage Company. The company was founded in 1858 and was the first of its kind in America. The carrige may be missising a few things such as the restraining harness or chain and maybe an unbrella as there is a stand that may serva as a holder for such. The carriage is in fairley good shape for its age and may have been painted once before I bacame owner of it. There is no overspray on any of the parts. There is however a few missing strands of wicker on the foot basket and the top of one of the sides. All of the mechanicals work and function as new the brake does hold it from rolling on slight inclines. I have had this carriage for about fifteen years and has been in storage for the last five. antique clockwork rotating hardware store display with key works automaton ?
very unusual. I got this this morning here in Wyoming. I was told by the lady that had it that it came from there familys hardware store and that it was a display piece they used in the window and that it was about 100 years old. it is clockwork and has 2 very large springs- 1 1/4 inches wide as you can see. I turned it a couple times and it ran for over 4 hours- I did not want to overwind it- it could use a cleaning as you can see but clock repair people just dip them( the movements) so since it works is not much to just do a cleaning. the main part is is that it is running. not sure if its an 8 day movement as the springs are so big. it is very very heavy. key is brass and iron. wood box is dovetailed. I saw something similar listed on ebay and they had 599.00 buy it now. Mine is bigger. very primitive and unusual. many places here did ... morenot have electricity for ages. some places still do not have electricity here. great decorator piece and a great piece of the old west and very unusual. don't miss out. I know I have never had anything like it before nor have I seen anything quite like it before. if you have any other info on it let me know. im thinking it may be a base for an automaton or it is what she said it is a rotating display piece they used in the store. either way it is rare and desirable and rarely comes along. it is very very heavy. Another incredible antique hardware find! I was given the chance to salvage anything I wanted from a small antique barn that was going to be demolished. I went over the entire barn with a fine tooth comb. I found many fantastic treasures.including this piece! This kick plate was on a side entrance door. Above the door was one of those green& white porcelain barn lights, of course I salvaged that.it sold immediately! I estimate this kick plate to be about 55-65 years old It is made from solid brass/bronze.not the lower quality steel with a plating You may find cheaper back plates that are plated. Have a man-made antique finish that tries to look old and are lower quality metal.You may find a solid brass kick plate, However you will not find a more gorgeous authentic antique kick plate that has aged perfectly for 55-65 years. The patina ... moreand character on the bronze can only be created by many, many years of exposure to the elements. The kick plate is in excellent antique condition. I used some sandpaper to remove paint that stuck to the back side of the kick plate(last photo is the back side) from the door so their some scratches on the back side, of course they will be hidden when installed on a door The kick plate lays flat and true. It is thick heavy gauge brass/bronze I will include some oval head solid brass screws 3/4" long that match the finish perfectly they are made to protrude a tiny bit from the surface. Not flush mounted(see photos)I like the look when they protrude slightly I feel it adds architectural character. The existing screw holes in the kick plate are beveled/recessed. This is a set of 6 very pretty matching vintage octagon glass pull knobs with brass stems. They're in good vintage condition. 2 have very tiny hard to see nicks and 3 have a small chip that I tried to take a close up of but they aren't that noticeable and hard to photograph, but still are a beautiful set of 6 with nice clarity in the glass, and the insides are very nice, usually the foil gets all scratched up, but these are fantastic and no cracks. They measure 1 3/8" wide and come with original screws. Set of antique Victorian ice box hardware. For 3 door ice box. Six hinges, three locks/latches. Ornate with flowers and foliage swirls. Brass cast locks with cast iron mechanisms. All lifts move. Brass cast hinges. All move freely. The offset of the hinges seems to be a little under 3/8"please see photos. Hinges measure about 4-7/8" x almost 1-3/4" Locks measure 3-7/8" x 2-1/8" excluding latch) or 2-1/2" including latch) In original patina. Should shine up beautifully with a wire brush if you wish.
