You are bidding on a walnut and burled walnut server/buffet with a brown marble top and cast brass hardware(1900-1950) This piece has 3 total drawers(2 smaller ones at the top- 19 3/4" wide X 17" deep and 1 longer drawer 42" wide X 17" deep) and two lower two shelf storage areas which have hand carved doors on it. The buffet measures 46 1/2" wide by 19" deep and stands 37 3/4" high with the marble top in place. The marble top is in perfect condition without and cracks. Chips or discolorations. Antique Hammered Brass or Copper Scale Pan, Hardware Measuring Scoop, ca.1910
A large. Antique hardware measure or scale pan crafted of hammered copper or brass, early-1900's. The rim is tooled around a heavy gauge steel wire, and there is brighter metallic finish or plating that is visible on the surface. It appears to be applied with brushstrokes, so possibly added at some earlier time(see close-ups) This pan has seen tremendous use over the years, with age-appropriate wear, various dents, dings, and scrapes; excellent patina and character. There is an old soldered repair on the bottom of the bowl. Displays exceptionally in any Country or Primitive setting; there are lots of creative possibilities with this one! Seven drawer pulls measure 5" long and 1-1/2" wide at the widest(middle of the pull) The holes on the back for mounting measure approx. 3-7/8" across from hole to hole. The pulls are made of a gold-tone metal- not sure what type- a magnet does stick. They are NOT real tinny. Like some that you can easily bend. The metal is very ornately decorated. Probably used on a large dresser, hutch, buffet etc. These will have to be cleaned up further, as there is paint residue still on them. This can be seen in the photos. Measures about 30 7/8" long and 9" at widest point and it is about 3" deep The case is in overall good condition for being up there in years. 100+? The paint has a very nice even worn look to it with a ever so slight split of the graining on the back side. Amazingly. ALL of the original hardware, the handle, both hooks and eyelets and both hinges are intact. The inside also has the wooden keeper and the cloth loop for the bow. The outside of the case shows no water damage. YET the inside at the widest end does look as if it had gotten wet at least once. There is signs of foxing in the paper on the inside of the lid. The inside felt is rough as well as the paper covering on the inside of the lid. ANTIQUE BRASS DRAWER LEVER CABINET HANDLE FURNITURE PULL HARDWARE - Qty 30
These were used for 25 years on kitchen cabinets. Until we just modernized to stainless to match appliances. All have been thoroughly cleaned and scrubbed to heighten shne and remove any grime that had built up. We have 59 of the old screws that attached them(missing one) but you might want to get new screws(they are old and look old) The pulls themselves, look great, much better after a steam cleaning.
