I am now offering some of those I don't ... moreneed for your consideration. This auction is for THREE(3) rectangular antique door plates, I believe from the 1920's or 30's. But I wasn't around back then so I don't know for s ure. T wo plates are plated steel- a magnet does stick to them. The third is not magnetic- appears to be plated brass. The coating is a bronze or copper color. These w ould have been used with an old. Large mortise-type lockset and skeleton key- neither is included. P late A measures 10" high x 3" wide. This is the non-magnetic. Bronze-colored one. I believe this plate would have been used on the outside of the front entry door- possib ly exposed to the weather. Plate B measures 7" high x 2 1/4" wide. It is plated steel- the plating appears to be an' antique brass' color. It is similar in design to plate A. But not an exact match. The previous owner"cleaned" these two plates with steel wool, so there are scratches evident. And some finish loss. Plate C measures 7 1/4" high x 2 3/8" wide. It has not been cleaned at all. And is mostly covered with old white paint. It is also plated steel. I believe the color may also be' antique brass' But I can't tell with the paint. It is. Again, a similar design to the other two plates, but not an exact match to either. I received plates A and B as you see them- I do NOT have any knobs or screws to go with them- sorry. The 4 screws that were holding plate C to a door are includ ed, but there were no knobs on the door. This auction is for only these T HREE door back plates. I regret that I do not know the history of this piece. I would estimate that it dates from the first 1/2 of the 19th Century or possibly earlier. Those possessing more knowledge than I of wood and iron working would have a better idea. Country of original is also an unknown as I have assumed this to be an early. Small immigrant chest or possibly that of a child. It is 15 3/8” tall, 18 3/4” wide, and 12 3/4” deep. The finish appears to be original. Some of the original hardware is missing, notably the side handles(see photos) Corner of a bottom board is damaged. Buyer responsible for shipping cost and insurance. Macey Antique Oak 4 Drawer File Cabinet Dovetailed Orig Finish Mission Hardware
I think this antique oak 4 drawer Macey file cabinet is in very good vintage condition. It still retains the majority of the original dark oak finish. It is a bit scratchy on the top and has a few spots but I would leave it as is. I think a bit of scratch cover and a waxing would be sufficient to make it home ready. The interior of the cabinet and drawers are very clean for a vintage item. If you like to refinish items to a light oak look it would refinish nicely. It does have the original Macey Decal of Grand Rapids Mich. and all of the drawers have the original directional decals as well. The hardware is mission style so it would go well with arts and crafts furniture. It has a tiny seperation halfway up one side that is only about a 16th of an inch wide and causes no structurally concerns. This is it! Circa 1904, manufactured in Columbus, Ohio by The Sun Manufacturing Company, this case is constructed of solid oak in original finish and original glass except for one side panel. The base of the case on the front and sides is indented. Allowing your customers to get a close-up view of your display. The front. Side, and rear glass has the slight wavy look consistent with antique glass. The glass on top is quarter inch. Beveled glass. The two original shelves are each one solid board all the way across and contain a raised lip around the border. ... moreThey each sit on four original brackets spaced 29-30 inches apart and are capable of holding significant weight. As this display case is an antique over 100 years old. It has some minor issues, albeit only cosmetic ones that don't affect functionality or durability. As stated. One side glass panel is not original to the piece. Also. There must have originally been a third door on the back of the case; now there are two with the same width of space for access. Both doors move very easily back and forth. The glass on one back door has a small crack in it near the indented finger slot. But remains intact. One top beveled glass panel has a chip on one back corner and the other back corner of the same piece of glass was reconstructed. The other top beveled glass has two cup rings and a small area in the back section of cloudiness that appears to have been caused by a spill. It was really difficult to capture the cloudiness in an image. But if you look to the left, you can see it. Unfortunately. You can see reflections in the glass better than you can see the cloudiness. Really beautiful turn of the century workbench. It's got hardware with patent dates from the 1890's! Bench is 10' long. 32" wide, 32" high. The bench top shows tons of wear and character, and the board that makes up the rear of the bench is a full 21" wide. Unlike most other repurposed workbenches. This piece doesn't have big vises sticking out, nor does it have the recessed tool tray that makes decorating difficult-it's just one big flat surface. The handwheel that turns the bench dog screw is fully functional-turn the wheel and the bench dog travels back and forth. It's really neat. This piece will make a gorgeous table. 30"x83" Antique Ash Oak Wood Wooden Interior Swinging Door 6 Flat Panel Hardware
Penn Antique Restoration. 30"x83" Antique Ash Swinging Door w/6 Flat Panels. A ntique. Interior, swinging door salvaged from an old home in Southeastern Minnesota. The door has a solid, ash core covered with 1/16" thick, ash veneers. Ash is a hardwood that looks very similar to Oak. The door is finished on one side and painted on the other. There are 6, horizontal, recessed panels on both sides of the door. Also, please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are almost 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. There are globs of dried paint stripper on the painted side of the door. And some of the globs on the lower portion have some mold. The globs are not positioned in a logical pattern, and they seem ... morelike the got onto the door by accident. The globs and mold are very easy to remove, and pose no threat to the door whatsoever; we only mentioned this to you so there is no confusion about what the dark spots are. Hardware: The door is equipped with a spring-loaded. Double-action, floor-mounted hinge in the lower, hinge stile corner, and a pivot hinge in the upper corner. The spring-loaded hinge is functional. But whether or not the spring is strong enough to swing the door back and forth will be unknown until installed. There are no push plates or pulls/handles, but we have some in our eBay store. If you would like any of the hinges removed. And their holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Condition: There is a 9" crack in the veneer of the top rail. On the finished side. There is also a small, 4 1/2"x1/2" piece of veneer missing from the lower, left corner on the finished side, a smaller, 2 1/4"x1/2" piece of veneer missing in the upper left corner of the finished side, and a tiny piece of veneer missing from the upper-left corner on the painted side(see photos) We could re-secure the piece of veneer on the top rail, and make and

Double doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The doors are made of solid poplar and are finished on both sides. Each door has a Victorian style arrangement of 5 raised panels. Notice the lovely, chamfered edges with lark's tongue detail on the sides of the panels and the beautiful, stepped molding at the top and bottom of each panel-what wonderful accents! Hardware: The doors are equipped with 18" and 8" flushbolts. A mortise lock, and a strike plate(see photos) The flushbolts are copper-plated cast iron and have beautiful, Eastlake style designs. The mortise lock faceplate and strike plate are solid bronze. All parts ... moreare functional, and operate smoothly. Very graceful long and narrow antique window frames with great old hardware,1900
This is the third set of three great old window frames I am listing today. Like the other pairs.There is no glass in them. They measure 66.5" tall by 28.5" wide overall. Each of the two narrow windows(14.25"wide) is hinged and designed to open in the middle. The great old slide bolt locking mechanism is typical of old French or Belgian buildings.
