Antique Early 1900's Cast Iron Bench Seat w Winged Lion Sides Garden or Vanity
Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This offering is for an antique cast iron bench or seat which would look great indoors or out! Picture it in a garden area or as a vanity bench. It is a single person bench seat and is solidly made of cast iron with a curved metal seating area. To each side are ornate cast iron pairs of winged lions- mythological creatures- facing each other. The seat has criss-crossed metal legs with metal flowers at the point of crossing. There are horizontal cross braces. The bench is NOT a folding bench. It was solidly riveted together with iron pegs and is quite heavy for it's size. The only bolted portions are the ornate sides which are attached from the underside with two slotted bolts. I have removed these(easy to put back) for more economical shipping. This bench was found with old white paint. I see goldtone ... moremetal peaking through on the paint. see paint wear in pics) I don't believe this"gold" to be brass as the metal holds a magnet- it may however. This exceptional antique box is crafted from solid German Silver and dates to the late 1800s. The hinged lid of the box shows detailed repousse depicting a courting scene in a garden- a great neoclassical motif. Each side of the box is elaborately worked and decorated. The piece is in outstanding condition. And on the bottom the box is hallmarked with a lions head in profile and'800' the purity of the silver. Antique Soldered Tin Folk Art Cupola Finial Architectural Roof Garden Ornament
This auction is for an antique soldered Galvanized TIN CUPOLA with a great oxidized patina. This Cupola is in excellent structural condition. It is fabricated by an unusual kind of corrugated zinc coated tin(steel) sheet metal similar to the texture of corduroy. The rust oxidation is mostly on the exterior surface and the metal is still solid with its original thickness(not rusted through or badly corroded) It appears that this piece was never painted and the original galvanized zinc cladding has been eroded by the elements. The result is a great antique rust patina which tells the true age of this piece. The dimensions are 22" tall and 15" square( at widest part) The original galvanized zinc remains mostly intact on the interior. There is some roofing tar residue on one side. This will make a great architectural detail to any old ... morestructure or in a garden setting.

You are bidding on a vintage cast iron child's or doll's garden chair which measures approximately 17 1/2" T X 9" W and is in very good condition and has been re-painted. This chair weighs close to 10 lbs(very heavy) and has been dissembeled for flat rate shipping. The bottom screws are phillips head screws which were invented in the early 1930's. So I believe this chair is dated from that point to the 40's, due to the weight, but I am not certain. It would be for a very small child or a larger doll.

Superb Antique Japanese Cloisonne Cigarette Box with garden scene. The workmanship on this box is astonishing. The copper wiring is hair thin and the cells of enamel are absolutely tiny. We did not see all the detail until we looked at the enlarged pictures. The design features purple. Blue and orange peonies in a riot of leaves growing out of a bamboo frame and reaching for the wisteria above. The long spikes of wisteria start blue and yellow and taper into into tiny buds. The multi-veined leaves are variagated green and yellow. The background and sides of the box are a deep, calm prussian blue. The bottom is dark green. Please excuse the hot spot in the first photo. There are more pictures of the lid taken without flash. But these have reflections. The inside of the box has a silver wash and a thin flange around the bottom to keep a tight ... moreseal(and keep the cigarettes inside from drying out) Dimensions— 5-3/8 inches x 3-3/4 x 1-1/2 height. Very Good to Excellent overall condition. No cracks. Breaks or repairs found. There is a very small ding to the back left edge of the lid. A tiny chip on the back and some of the usual pitting found in cloisonné. Any imperfections and manufacturing flaws are visible when you zoom into the pictures. Interior needs cleaning/ polish. This is a small Sterling Silver spoon. It is an antique. marked sterling on the back. The bowl of the spoon has a mountainous picture with"Garden of the Gods" on the end of the handle there is a picture of 3 animals. I can't tell what the animal, I believe it is mules. The spoon is either a baby spoon or demitasse spoon. 4"L. The spoon is monogrammed on the back Margaret. Margaret was my husband's great grandmother. She was the daughter of Colonel James Judson Van Horn. She later married Major General Edgar T. Collins. We have quite a collection of her spoons. Condition: Fair given their age and use. There are surface scratches and discoloration and a few dings. They are dirty and have rust. Paint spots and verdigris and I have not cleaned them. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE CAUCASIAN TALISH RUNNER. Southeastern Caucasus Mountains. Circa: 1900 to very early 20th century, and coming in very good original condition for the collector or decorator. The exact size is: 3'3" x 7'6" 99 x 229 cm) Green field Caucasian weavings from any district in the Caucasus Mountains are seldom encountered. This 100+ year old antique Talish specimen exhibits an allover flowering plant garden design and is nicely framed by a rich red border surround with effulgent flower blossoms. The carpet has natural wool for the warps and wefts. All the natural dyes are derived from plant sources with an especially beautiful shade of aubergine purple. The black/brown dye lot is oxidized. The allover condition is quite good with medium to medium low pile(see photo 11) The side cords are complete with some areas having ... morebeen re-wrapped in the past. At one time. The outermost red and blue striped guard borders at both ends were a bit ragged. Both ends have now been professionally restored and sewn secure to prevent any future loss of structure(see photo 12) This colorful and decorative weaving has recently been cleaned and is now collection ready. This runner is strong and sturdy and it lies straight and flat on the floor. With a high quality rug padding underneath, the carpet is immediately ready to be placed down and used as a decorative floor covering. The Polands were collectors of fine American and English Staffordshire and known for their wonderful taste in the fine antiques they purchased and enjoyed for many years. Mr Poland started collecting when he was 17 years old and they have been collecting for over 70 years. This auction is for a beautiful. Glazed swan planter. It is white with a black head and orange beak. The head is not glazed. It measures 11" front to back and is 8" across and 9" tall. The opening is 5.5" by about 4.5. Unfortunately. I do not know the maker but it is a truly beautiful piece. Just imagine how pretty it will looks holding a Poinsettia or other holiday plant. It is in excellent overall condition except I just ... morenoticed there is a crack on the tail which has been repaired. Insurance and tracking are included and it will be double boxed.
