Acquired from an estate and selling with no reserve. This listing is for an antique 1930's Door Knobs and Back Plates. Bronzed back plates one measuring 11-3/4" with approx. 1-1/8" diameter lock hole. The other is 8-1/4" in length, ornate raised decoration. The door knobs are brass and one measures 2-1/4" diameter, the other 2-1/8" diameter, both with matching raised decoration. The set consists of 2 bronze knobs, 1 bronze escutcheon, 1 bronze rosette, 1 bronze keyhole cover, 1 iron lock with bronze faceplate and 2 working keys, 1 brass strikeplate for the door jamb, and a spindle with 2 set screws to connect the knobs. All are bronze/brass parts solid bronze/brass, not plated iron, and are fairly heavy—good quality pieces. They were originally copper plated, however much of the copper has worn off over the years. The knobs and escutcheon feature the Art Nouveau style“Roanoke” pattern which includes flowers. Scrolled foliage, and beads. Notice the swinging keyhole cover on the escutcheon-what a great accent! Antique Copper 2 Door Knobs, Back Plates, Ornate Vine & Flower; Skeleton Keyhole
Nice antique door knobs. There are 2 knobs with the shaft attached. Plus 2 backplates/ door plates with skeleton keyholes in them. There is no key. There are also no marks or maker's name that I can find. Each backplate is about 7- 1/4" long x 2- 1/4" wide. The door knobs, with the shaft, are about 6- 1/2" from outside knob to outside knob. Each door knob is about 2- 1/4" in diameter. Nice copper patina; some old paint still showing. Payment is expected within 5 days after the close of the auction.

Bidding on this vintage pair of antique back plates. they are brass but have a copper tone to them. The knob in the last photo is not included. Just to give you an idea of what it could look like with proper knobs. These knobs I have as a seperate auction. There are knobs on line that are brass beaded. I don't have any at this time. The plates are about 9" long and 3" at the widest point. the inside hole for the knob is 3/4" outside. Then beveels in to 5/8" If your knob has a base rim of 3/4 or larger it will REST on the rim of the plate. If it is 5/8 it will sit in the rim.

The back plates with key escutcheons are matching and measure 8 3/8" tall, and 2 3/8" wide. The knobs measure 2 1/8" in diameter(one has a slightly brighter patina than the other. All taken from a replacement door out of a very old home. All are original. The knobs have no breaks or chips but paint. Scratches/scuffs are noticeable. The key holes covers are all brass and they have paint as well as scuffs and two came out of this and the third is included and matches too, just off a diff door. One key hole cover that came off this piece was put on wrong so the stencil is really nice on this one. Includes two brass plates, one is on the shank in picture, one is off. The brass door plates are both the same. They measure approx 6½" tall and 2¼" across at the widest point. The mounting screw holes are 5-5/8" apart. The bottom of each skeleton keyhole on each plate is 2¼" above the bottom screw hole. The center of the hole for a doorknob on each plate is 1½" below the top screw hole. Both door plates are in used condition. And one is bent near the keyhole. I believe it could be molded back into shape, but I will leave this up to the buyer. They need to be cleaned and polished; there are darkened areas and patina. The backs of the plates really show their age.with darkening, patina and paint. Threaded spindles, back plates, mortise locksets, strike plates, and a fair amount of brass screws in a few different sizes and shapes. They only thing not included in this collection are the Skeleton Keys for the locksets. As with most antique hardware and knobs, these pieces have old white paint on them.some just a spot or two, others a a full brush stoke. The paint is easy to remove from the knobs and the face plates. Antique/Vintage Set of Black Ceramic Door Knobs DoorKnobs 2" & Matching Plates
You are bidding on a Vintage/Antique Set of Black Ceramic Door Knobs Doorknobs and Matching Plates. The knob measures about 2" across and about 1 7/8" front to back. These knobs are used and in very good condition. I do not see or feel any chips. Cracks or breaks on the knobs. Each plate measures 1 5/8" wide and 5" tall. The plates have a nice crisp design and only minor rust. The set is ready to use. I am not an expert so please examine the pictures and determine condition for yourself. ANTIQUE CORBIN MORTISE LOCK W STEEL DOOR KNOBS & 2 PAT JULY 1900 BACK PLATES
My eBay name says it all.liquidators. I was an eBay seller back in 2000 and I sold to meet a financial goal. Life has a way of taking over such that when my goal was hit my inventory just sat in storage. Well. I have to admit not only did it sit but over the years I have added to it. Due to my fiancé in all likelihood having to move overseas due to work in 2015 and me tagging along I HAVE TO liquidate my inventory. And yes, I have that much that I need to start now. So, I will be listing an item auction style and if within a certain time frame it is not sold it is going to a consignment auction house. So, if you like it, get it while the getting is good. My prices will be rock bottom due to the amount of items which need to be sold. This lock set was salvaged from a turn of the century home in the Northeast. It features a Corbin mortise ... morelock with steel circle motif doorknobs and two steel back plates. The back plates are signed Pat. July 17 1900. These pieces were covered in layer upon layer of paint and I have done my best to get most of it off but just as a note there is still some surface rust and paint. The screws for the doorknobs are missing and can be easily replaced. The dimensions are as follows: back plate:7 3/4" by 2 1/2" lock case: 3 5/8" rear length. 3 1/4" depth(including faceplate) 1/2" width backset: 2 1/2" faceplate: 5 3/8" by 15/16" The shipping and handling are free. Up for auction is a nice lot of 3 ornate antique brass door plates. Each piece is in great condition. No major damage(only expected age wear) has excellent patina and eye appeal, has not been cleaned and is in as found condition(see photos for exact condition) The matching set(one has a key hole the other does not) is numbered 811 and the single is numbered 854. The pair of door plates measure 7.5" x 2.25" and are about 0.4" thick. The single measures about 8.5" x 2.5" and is about 0.5" thick.
