Antique Brass Door Knobs This great set is all together and ready to go. As far as I can tell. The only thing missing is a key. The design on the solid brass door knobs almost looks like a Tudor rose encircled with laurels. The back plates measures 6-1/2" x 2" and appear to be brass as well. Although I am not an expert. The lock part is marked Russell& Erwin Mfg. Co. and the latest patent date is 1898. The inner box measures 3-1/2" high x 3" deep x 1/2" thick. The latch turns easily. These are 2 door plates and a lock. As you can see the one plate has an elegant patina and the other as well as the lock is just Amazing to look at. The lock turns but will need some work or fiddling with because not as solid as it should be. I am selling this as is- like I do with some other things and then if I get the chance to work on something or bring it in I do and relist different $) Also as you can see the little groove on the side/lower area of lock must have been made long ago from the patina over it. The plates are 7 1/4" H x 1 3/4" W Lock is 6 1/8" x 1 1/8" Both key swings are in great shape. As always any questions just ask and I will appreciate feedback after. Thank you.

Each has a hole in the corners for mounting. Two are a match- same size and design- the ribbing is straight- these two measure about 8 inches by 3 inches. The third one is the same size but the ribbing is arched at the top and bottom. The last one is a bit shorter- measures 7 3/4 inches by 3 1/8 inches, the ribbing is straight across. Antique Victorian door knobs & plates Lock Corbin Brass Bronze Eastlake
These are 2 door plates- 2 door knobs and a lock. As you can see the one plate has a nice patina& the other. as well as the lock.is just Amazing to look at. The lock turns but will need some work or fiddling with because not as solid as it should be. I am selling this as is- like I do with some other things and then if I get the chance to work on something or bring it in I do and relist different $) Also as you can see the little groove on the side/lower area of lock must have been made long ago from the patina over it. These door knobs are from the 1890's as well but I do not know the maker. They're patina just happened to match very well and the door lock set that goes with them is loaded with many coats of paint and at this point I am listing and selling with these plates. I am offering a pair of antique door pulls that were removed from a 100 year old home. This is all the provenance that I was told. I have others and I was going to list them separately. But then I noticed other sellers were offering pairs. So, that is why you see a#1 and a#3 next to the images. This listing is for the"pair" that you see in image one, and the other images are front and back of each piece. The handles are screwed and bolted on the back plates and are just like they were when I bought them. Each plate measures approx. 15" long. Wonderful old antique look to this heavy cast iron door plate with skeleton keyhole. Made from original moulds used years ago. Extra large, measure 10 5/8" long x 3 1/8" wide. These plates and knobs and have a handsome, bold olde timey design with lots of texture in the casting, and an antique, vintage brown finish. I use several of these in my house and cabin; they look great; everyone loves them! THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE DOOR PLATE WITH MATCHING KNOB. This auction is for a pair of antique/ vintage GLASS and BRASS door knobs, a pair of embossed. Ornate antique/ vintage door plates. These plates are BRASS- a magnet does NOT stick to them. The plates have a patinated antique brass look to them now- I think they could be polished to shine. The plates measure 5 1/16" high x 1 1/2" wide. These have NOT been cleaned- there is some white paint residue on the knobs and on the back plates. There is rust and white paint on the faceplate of the mortise-type lockset. The bolt moves in and out with spring return- I think it will work even easier when the rust is cleaned off and it's lubricated. NO skeleton key is included. The glass knobs are both 2" in diameter and match. The face of the lockset measures 7/8" wide x 5 1/4" high. Also included are the two setscrews for the ... moreknobs, 3(only) of the brass screws for the escutcheon plates. The steel spindle for the knobs. 2 porcelain glass doorknobs measuring 2.25" diameter(1 has set screw stuck in it) 3 metal knobs measuring 2.25" in diameter. Antique Colonial Solid Brass Exterior Entry Door Lockset Knobs Plates Lock Keys
Penn Antique Restoration. Antique"Corbin" Colonial Brass Door Set w/Knobs. Plates, Lock& 2 Keys. Handsome. Antique, exterior door lockset salvaged from Northeastern Illinois. The set consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with a brass faceplate, 2 working keys, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 split spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knobs. All brass parts are solid brass, not plated iron. We found the set with a nice. Original, patina, which we didn't want to disturb. There are a few spots of white paint, and some paint along the edges of the lock faceplate, strike plate, and exterior escutcheon. If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny or at least with a uniform finish, we could clean and polish the set prior to shipping for an additional $25-email us after the ... moreauction if you're interested. The knobs have a few. Very subtle dents, as does the lock faceplate. Otherwise, all parts just have the tiny nicks and light scratches that you would expect to find on old, used hardware. However, there are no breaks, deep scratches, gouges, or cracks. About the lock: The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. The buttons on the lock faceplate control a function. Which disables/enables the exterior knob from turning. Once the bottom button is depressed, the exterior knob will not turn, and the upper latch will remain extended, in the locked position. In essence, the upper latch acts as a deadbolt and provides an extra level of security from anyone on the outside of the door. Once the exterior knob is frozen, and the door is shut, the only way to retract the upper latch is by using the key for the top keyhole, or by turning the interior knob. This is a very convenient feature for the person inside of the house/room. No more locking and unlocking to let someone in. Simply turn the knob, open the door, let someone in, close the door and it's already locked. To disable the auto-lock feature, simply push the top button.
