ANTIQUE / OLD VINTAGE 10 CM TALL FALSTAFF BRASS DOOR KNOCKER RG. NO. 647861 VGC
This is an old brass door knocker in the form of Falstaff(I think) it has a Registered No. 647861 which makes me think it is Victorian/ Edwardian in age. The back plate is 10 cm from top to bottom. T he knocker is in very good condition for its age as seen in the photos- it hasn't been polished in a while and has a bit of a patina although it wouldn't take much polishing to brighten it up- the fixing pin firmly holds the two pieces together- not much play. A g reat addition for your collection or an ideal gift. Items are safely wrapped as quickly as I can. I normally post out on Saturdays but will try to make it to the Post Office midweek. This antique door knocker was recovered from a renovation of an old building in Richmond. Va that was built in the 1920's. The door knocker does not show any markings but I believe it to be just as old as the building. It has been painted over. I also put a picture of the door it was salvaged from showing the tounge and groove design. This is a great piece for any restoration project.

Y ou are bidding on an antique door knocker. It has been mounted on a wooden base for display. And has been on display in my home for nearly 25 years. It was painted black, but the paint has chipped. It is very heavy, and though I am not an expert on metals. I beleive that it may be brass or bronze, maybe iron. On the back side of the knocker there is a symbol. This item is a nice older duck brass door knocker measuring 10" tall with a wing span of 9" It has some of the paint worn off in places. Antique Lg. Cast Iron Door Knocker w/ Bat NR
Large antique cast iron door knocker with a bat holding the knocker arm. Very possibly off of one of the doors of Dracula's castle, who knows, anyway it measures about 6 1/2in. long and is quite heavy, it is quite old and is marked behind the bat with an impressed British registry mark which is hard to see but it's there and there is a number on the back of the arm, looking at the wear on the bat it's seen a lot of use over the years, for it's age it's in good condition and ready to knock, unfortunately over the years a lower part of the cast iron back has broken off but it still has the mounting screw hole and you can only tell it's missing if you look closely at the back under the bat, it's been gone for a long time, I bought it as such mainly because you really can't notice it and how many early door knockers ... moredo you see with bats on them, very few it's the first one I've ever seen, if you like bats and witches or just spooky things in general I don't think you will see another one like this right away if ever, it is guaranteed very old.

Antique 19th Century Bronze Satyr Lion Head Door Knocker ~ Grand Tour 8 1/2 X 5
Here we have a really wonderful 19th century bronze satyr or Lion Head Door Knocker with rich patina over gold gilt. This heavy door knocker is cast solid bronze. Has a super rich time aged patina and weighs 3 pounds 5 ounces. It is in the form of a satyr or lion head with strong mane. Eyebrows, ears, eyes and nose. The striker is a simple bar with large center ring and is flanked by two smaller rings. It has super detailing with flowing mane. Mustache, inquisitive eyebrows and eyes. Under the deep time aged patina is a a layer of gold gilt which can be seen along the right side of face. Eyes and mane. It has the original pass through iron bar holding the striker firmly in place. This piece is in untouched as-found condition with a wonderful patina and we have not polished. Cleaned or even dusted it. There is o ne casting flaw with a 3mm ... morepass through hole on left side of mane. It has a small nick or scratch at the very top of the mane and a small scratch on the back where the gold gilt under-layer can be seen. There are a few small areas of light paint rubs or small areas of over paint mostly contained to back lip. It is massive weighing in at 3 pounds 5 ounces. Measures 8 1/2" tall, 5" wide and will protrude 2" when in place. This is a really wonderful 19th century piece and it will make an outstanding statement on any door. Victorian period antique heavy cast iron French hand door knocker. You can clearly see the ring on the lady’s finger. With beautiful designs on her cuff, and holding a ball in her palm. Hand itself measures approximately 4 ½ inches long(total length of door knocker including its threaded bolt and stem is 9 ¼ inches long) And weighs about 1 ½ pounds. Comes with 4-inch threaded bolt welded at an 80 degree angle(unsure if this specific angle served a purpose or if it reflects poor workmanship? Most likely from mid to late 1800’s. This very unique Vintage Antique Edwards Door Chime Two-Tone Knocker is in great used condition. The box on the inside of the door measures approximately 6 1/2" x 3" x 1 7/8" deep and the knocker measures approximately 5 1/2" x 3 3/8" There is a last check mirror on the box for the inside of the door. The mirror definitely show wear. Along with some stain remnants around the edging of the box and knocker. The knocker lifts slightly to activate a beautiful sounding two-tone door chime. It is an oriental style sea dolphin with a large head and large tail fins. The dolphin swivels up and down a bronze wall mount. I debated if I should polish this door knocker. So. I did. It was so crusty and tarnished. It is a small door knocker. Measures 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" I know it's really old. My Parents had it on the side door of the house I grew up in. It was old when I was a kid and that's 60 years ago! My Mom said she found it at a Antique store in Canada. That's all I know about it. It is solid cast Brass and has three holes for mounting it. It's in great used condition.

ANTIQUE HEAVY & LARGE GREEK DOLPHIN FISH BRASS DOOR KNOCKER
This is quite a special piece and there are usually not many online either, as reclamation people/yards don't come across them easily. I have priced mine competitively. Please keep this in mind and look what others are going for! This is a really old& really large solid brass door knocker shaped as a Greek/Maltese fish/dolphin( with a trident tail. I have not polished it up. As some people do prefer the older vintage look so as to blend in right away. However as it is brass it will polish up to a bright shiny& sunny warm colour! Could be British made. But wouldn't be surprised if it had actually originated from another Country, maybe exotic, especially considering the design of the fish itself. It measures 20cms in lenght. 4-5cms in width& would sit/stand proud of the door by about 10cms. Used as is. With striking contact ... moreagainst the wood door, or with the addition of a brass door striker; This isn't provided. But are easily found online or at a reclamation yard!
