These are made of pressed steel and are of various designs and sizes. The two matching ornate pair in upper left corner in first pic are heavy pressed brass. Others are heavier pressed steel. Nice lot for that hard to find vintage repair or replacement. Nice mixed lot for the creative repurpose art mind as well. I have a nice antique matching back plate with the matching knob. The knob and front of plate have been cleaned but the back of plate is still got rust and paint on it like it was orginally. It has a beaded edge around the outside of plate and around the knob. A very nice set for someone needing antique hardware. The plate measures about 7 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide at widest spot. This item is not a reproduction. It is a orginal. The reproductions will cost a lot more tan this set. Blackstone Hotel Door Hardware Backplate SET - 4 Cast Brass ANTIQUE 1909 CHICAGO
Here we have a set of 4 original cast brass door knob back plates from the Blackstone Hotel which was constructed in 1909 in Chicago. This set was heavily painted so we cleaned them using a wire brush which has resulted in a shiny backplate. These were made by Yale& Towne. Each of these have unique wear. So please reference the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Three of these have have little circles for a lock twist which I assume means they were room side back plates. One of them has a traditional skeleton key hole, which I assume was on the hall side of the door. These are 11 1/8" long and 3" wide at the widest point. Multiple horse stall doors are available from this salvage so please check the other many door SIZES and STYLES listed in our store. This door comes with its original old hardware. Original rollers and 6ft of original track with track hangers(see pictures) The rollers and track are in perfect operable condition and will function/roll as expected once reassembled. Since this door is 3ft wide, then 6ft of track allows for the appropriate amount of door travel to open and close. These vintage doors have everything you need to hang and immediately begin enjoying. capturing a time long ago. The wood is in great condition and has only the patina and flaws expected ... morefrom a full functioning horse stable door. The door(s) have not been cleaned whatsoever. Therefore barn dust, dirt and cobwebs are seen in the pictures. Will gladly hose down for buyer if requested. The track and hardware show a great patina with only mild surface rust. Someone attempted to begin painting the front side of this door with a pale yellow paint(see pictures) but didn't get very far. The door otherwise has its original, unfinished pine board patina. You will also see that the door front has a light discoloration near the bottom half. but this is only a light coat of dirt that can be easily cleaned with a waterhose. ULTRA RARE ANTIQUE ROUND SPHERICAL GLASS DOOR KNOB SET HARDWARE
Here up for auction is an unusual find indeed! Anyone who loves antique door hardware knows this is a sought after type door knob set. Perfectly round glass knobs with no chips- very slight surface scratch here or there but nothing really bad at all. The inside mercury star is perfect with no deterioration. These also have the nickel plated shanks which is unusual- generally you see these with the brass bases. Given that piece of information- these were most likely used for a powder room since the detail is nickel but maybe not. Gorgeous set of knobs. Get a nice deal on these! I have a nice heavy cast ornate door knocker for your consideration. Beautiful example of Victorian Eastlake floral patterning cast in a heavy brass or bronze. There is some greening and patina consistent with its age. It appears that it was lightly used if at all. She'll make a loud knock. Measures approximately 6 1/2 x 3 inches. This is a stunning antique lot of 5 Art Deco gold gilded drawer handles. they have exquisite detailing and a gold gilded finish over a bronzed metal. not exactly sure what the metal is but has a wonderful antique finish and are very old. they are all in nice shape and each have two mounting screws in the back. each measures 4 7/8 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide and sits 1 inch from the surface it is mounted to.
