Vintage DONALD DESKEY ART DECO BRASS DESIGNER ANDIRONS Guards Mid Century Modern
Up for bids are these Vintage Pair of DONALD DESKEY ART DECO ANDIRON GUARDS. These unique Art Deco andiron guards measure 12" tall x 8" wide and 1 3/8" across. These were designed by the famous designer. Donald Deskey in the 1930s, but they they would fit in perfectly with Mid Century Modern Decor. Google Donald Deskey and look what these andirons or fetching. This is a bargain! These are brass colored. But I don't know the make-up of he metal, perhaps they are plated. I really don't know what metals were used. There is some slight discoloration, but they are marvelous. The round parts of seams- I don't know if that is how they were made or what. This is a stunningly large pair of late 19th century Victorian bronze and cast iron fireplace andirons. they are very ornate with intricate detailing and have a wonderful patina from age. they are nicely footed with curved legs and topped with a very pointy bronze finial. the whole shaft is very detailed and has many sections with floral detailing done in high relief, the back wood rest are large and made from cast iron. They are actually a bit different so one of them was replaced at one time but very hard t notice. they each measure 24 inches tall by 11 1/4 inches wide by 20 1/2 inches back to front. they are high quality andirons which have a lovely patina from age. Antique Hand Forged Americana Andirons with O-Loop Design Hearthware
Architecturally hand crafted in days long gone by! The person we acquired these from said his grandfather's grandfather created these Americana andirons.This is a pair of hand forged andirons with an o-loop design on top and 12 3/4" dog legs that support the logs. The bottoms are horse shoe shaped. There is some rust and age old wear and they retain their sturdiness to support those heavy logs. Each is 13 3/4" tall and the bottoms are 7 1/4" wide. SCARCE Musical Note Andirons-Tennessee Chrome Plate Co Nashville-Mid Century
Available here is a pair and mid century music note fireplace andirons. These are quite rare and do not come up often! These were made by the Tennessee Chrome Plate Company in Nashville in the 1940s or 50s. They are both marked"Tenn. Chrome Plate Co" and"Nashville" on the back. The musical notes are made of brass and the leg holder supports are iron. The supports are removable with a bolt that slides on or off the back part of the music note. Period Federal Colonial 1700s Antique Brass Double Lemon Top Andirons Fire Dogs
This is a set of genuine 18th or early 19th century Double Lemon Top brass andirons with spurred legs and ball feet. As can can see in the picture one of the andirons is missing it's middle brass"plinth" section. The other Plinth present. However, so perhaps the winning bidder can fabricate a plinth with a mold from the remaining one? Or just use as-is. The andirons are a little over 17" tall. By about 21" deep and weigh about 12 lbs total. The are genuine antiques, with seamed construction and screw-on lemon tops. The double spurred legs are peened to the iron base. The remaining plinth is about 4 5/8" tall and the opening at the top is just over 1 1/8" in diameter. The set is totally unpolished and has a really old verdigris-surface. They could stand to be repainted as some of the paint is worn just a bit. If you zoom in you can see the paint; it's not really too bad. I worked as a contractor for 36 years in Portland. Oregon. Antique Bradley& Hubbard brass or bronze dolphin andirons. These are straight from the fireplace of an old estate in Victoria. British Columbia, untouched and uncleaned except for a small brushing to expose the B H logo and magnet-tested to prove they aren't patinated cast iron. The dolphins are about 13 1/4 inches tall and 7 1/4 inches wide at the widest. The andirons are about 20 inches in depth. A very heavy 20 pound package to ship insured.

pair antique cast iron bronze female figural fireplace firedogs andirons 1800's
This is a stunningly rare pair of antique late 19th century cast iron and bronze figural firedog andirons. They are in the shape of a Victorian female and done with beautifully dimensional detailing. the bases are masse from cast iron and the figure is made from bronze. it has acquired a lovely consistent patina throughout. each figure has two hooks on the backside to hold either tools or a cross cooking bar. each measures 15 inches tall by 8 1/4 inches wide by 5 5/8 inches back to front. in nice antique shape and ready for another hundred years. Lot 5 pieces of antique vintage Fireplace accessories including the following: 1. Pair andirons. No manufacturer found. Gray metal of some sort. Likely 19th c. or early 20th c. Measure 2 1/4" high x 3 1/4" depth x 7/8" wide. Excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. 2. Wonderful antique broom/brush with old red paint. Wonderful tooled handle. Real hair bristles. Measures about 5" long. Some paint/finish loss. A small crack. Still wonderful and early. Likely 19th c. 3. Brass shovel- measures 4 1/4" length x 1" Some damage to finish on the back see photos. 4. Cast Iron shovel- measures 3 1/8" x 3/4" nice patina. Excellent condition. Likely 19th c. or early 20th c. 5. Cast iron coal hog with wire handle. Measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" A little dirty.
