Jade Glass Rolling Pin
One of the many items from my mothers estate. It is beautiful. It has a screw lid to fill with ice and or cold water for rolling out dough. I don't know the age of this rolling pin, it is the only one I have ever seen and it may have belonged to my grandmother. I believe it was made in America, but I do not know where.

1915 Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Railroad original issued stock certificate
Authentic Chicago. Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company stock certificate dated in 1915. These are so old that they are signed by the officers of the company(no facsimiles) and many are filled out by hand as well. Certificate has a great vignette of a steam engine and is hand signed. This same certificate is'on sale' at a major antique website for $60. Originally chartered in Illinois on February 27. 1848, as the Rock Island and LaSalle Rail Road Company, the road was renamed Chicago and Rock Island Rail Road Company on February 7, 1851, and Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company in 1866. In Texas the Rock Island operated 633 miles of main track plus joint ownership of the Burlington-Rock Island. Three main Rock Island routes crossed the state. The Midcontinent Route ran from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Fort Worth and Dallas ... moreand, with the Burlington-Rock Island, to Houston and Galveston. The other two main lines connected with the Southern Pacific at Tucumcari, New Mexico, to form through routes to the Pacific Coast. These were the Golden State Route, running from Chicago and Kansas City through Dalhart, and the Choctaw Route, which ran from Memphis and Oklahoma City through Amarillo. In addition to its Texas routes, the Rock Island also served the major railroad centers of St. Louis, Missouri, and Denver, Colorado. Two of the named passenger trains of the Rock Island operating across Texas were the Twin Star Rocket and the Golden State Limited. The Rock Island acquired thirty-nine miles of the Wichita Falls and Southern Railroad between Graham and South Hanlon in 1955. But abandoned this line in 1969. The Rock Island had acquired a 50 percent interest in what later became the Burlington-Rock Island in 1906. The B-RI was operated separately until 1964, when it was merged into the parent companies. This allowed the Rock Island direct access to the Houston and Galveston markets. You are buying or making an offer on a rare and beautiful Starr Piano Company. Richmond,Indiana"The Singing Throat" Horn. The Singing Throat was Starr Piano Co.s secret weapon to gain the biggest market share of the early phonograph market, which was dominated by RCA Victor. Overall measures 20" tall. The horn measures 15 1/8" wide and 9" deep. These were known for their deep, rich and amazing sound. This sound, at the time, was unsurpassed. Overall condition is excellent with the exception of someone who wasn't thinking did some sanding on the original manufacturer's sticker and logo. Sticker and logo can still be read, however. There were eight different models of the horn but I'm not sure which model this item is. If you place sound behind the horn at the feed hole, it still sounds amazing and fills ... morethe room with sound. We have been in antiques for 20 years and we have never seen one. We really have no idea what the value of this is. If we are low, you get a deal; if we are high, make an offer on it if you want it and shipping is free to you. To me, it is fairly expensive. We will not ship this without packing it in a wood lined box. It will never make it unless we do.This will also be insured. Really beautiful piece of musical Americana. If it were not for the damage to the Company logo this could easily be a museum piece. Still retains most of the inspector stamp although it has faded slightly. Saulson 1872 Iron Parlor Stove, Troy, NY, Lift Handle, Saleman's Sample?
This auction is for a neat little 16" coal stove for a parlor or small room from Saulson. Troy, NY PAT Sept 1872. At first I thought it was a toy or salesman's sample, but it looks like it has been used. The top and bottom are iron and the blue stove part is a lighter metal. The writing on the top shows wear but can be made out. There is a handle which allows you to carry it from room to room. You don't see these cuties very often and other than some rust spots and a missing part of one grate, it looks fine. A great display piece.

An ancient Native American Indian/ Red Indian artefact which depicts two Native American Indians or Red Indians seated in a canoe. The entire object is made from hide. The faces of the Red Indians are worn with age. Damage to this item is that the Indian in the foreground has one feather missing. Two hands missing and a break to his arm which has been repaired many years ago. The Indian at the back of the canoe has one hand missing and also an arm. There is also a small piece missing from the canoe which is one of the flaps at the side. Please see photo's. Such a shame. Up for bids is this rare figural erotic stirrup-spout vessel. Possibly Moche(North Peru) culture, circa 500- 750 AD. I am not 100% sure this is a genuine ancient Moche pot, but I did the smell test by wetting the surface: the water disappeared quickly into the surface and it reeked very typically musky and earthy. Also it took about 3 days before the pottery was dry again. The m ale figure shows old crack repairs with bitumen or tar at his right leg. Right shoulder and side of his body. The left hand of the female figure similarly shows a bitumen/tar repair. I leave it to the connaisseurs and collectors of Pre-Columbian pottery to decide. They went to an open local football field near Syracuse University by Limo, they played touch football for about an hour, mixed in with some REFRESHMENTS. I bought this sculpture in 1967 ... morefrom a source I trusted who I met in the home of my friend Kurt Stavenhagen in Mexico City when I was an anthropology student at the Universidad de las Americas. Kurt Stavenhagen was a Wikipedia-worthy collector of Precolumbian sculpture to whom I was introduced by Ferdinand Anton- a German anthropologist and photographer who filmed my family exploring the Maya ruins of Chichen Itza in 1964 for a movie he made for Time/ Life Magazines and German television which compared modern art. Such as Picasso and Henry Moore, with ancient art like the Maya. I also studied how to distinguish an authentic precolumbian sculpture from a fake: 1) provenance; know the source; 2) study precolumbian anthropology; see what's in the museums and the books; 3) lick. Or otherwise wet, the object and see how long it takes to dry; ancient ceramics take a long time to dry because they are more porous than new ceramics. 5) Shipping. No charge for a U.S. address.

Large Pre-Columbian Olla or Vase w/Circles - Chiriquí, Panama 1200 AD-1400 AD
Large orange colored footed vessel. Or"vase" with two large circles at opposite sides and paneled motifs of scalloped or wavy lines going round in black. The Chiriquí were known to have created large vessels, or"vases" like these with simple designs. The artistic style of the Chiriquí culture is generally considered to be based in animal shapes and patterns relating to creatures around them like the armadillo, the frog, the alligator, and even the octopus. The wavy black line motif going the sides is reminiscent of an alligator's hide. This piece has been re-glued and restored from several large pieces and shows a pressure crack but is stable. Huge Brooch by Annette Nancarrow w/ Great REAL Pre-Columbian Head ~ Pro Mounted
This is a huge pre-Columbian head. Possible from around Teotihuacan, showing a person with a grand headdress including feathered crests and above them one of the great Mesoamerican pyramids, such as Teotihuacan's pyramid of the sun. This is not only a great pre-Columbian artifact to won, but a piece of history in that it was found and created into jewelry by none other than the Annette Nancarrow. She was a was a painter, sculptor, designer and jewelry-maker who lived for many years in Acapulco and Mexico City and was an active part of the art scene. Nancarrow went on to assist and inspire many artists such as Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo and also Jose Clemente Orozco. She is known for her jewelry which was worn by Frida Kahlo, Peggy Guggenheim, Elizabeth Arden and Anais Nin. Nancarrow’s jewelry was always unique and featured Mexican Archeological ... morefinds including mounted pottery heads and beads which she fashioned into her own brand of modern style jewelry. This is an exceptional find and comes from the Norman Lane Collection of pre-Columbian artifacts. This brooch measures 3 3/4" tall by 3 1/4" wide. It is a flat piece of pottery mounted onto a brass plate with a brooch clip and hook for suspension. This piece also comes with a black base that will hold this upright for viewing on a shelf.
