Antique Authentic Shaker Baby Bonnet, Ohio, Mid-1800'S
This is a Shaker baby bonnet. the unusually complicated design is consistent with Shaker workmanship and life. The person who attested this was a real Shaker product was so sure they wrote a tiny paper attesting it. so we see this as authentic. all black in color as we bought two-one black and one white(see the listing for the white one) the many crimped stitches are so marvelous. We are amazed. truly a work of the needle crafters skill and art.

this lot contains vintage Peruvian Shamanic Whistling Vessels- set of 7- by Daniel K. Statnekov. Who discovered them in the 1970's& researched pre-Columbian uses. he constructed his own for modern applications of their spiritual healing lore. they are not signed, but all my research shows these are his original reproductions. as for any damage, the only square belly vessel has 2 areas where glaze was applied, they look as though they have been there since firing, like repairs. there is no visible damage& the whistle works just fine, but the glaze is there just the same. this same vessel has a chip in handle which can be seen in picture. there is one other that has a small disc type chip on backside also in a picture. they were found wrapped in only 6 velvet bags with the 7th loose. they are a great salvage find. thank you for ... morelooking. Beautiful Antique Rare Pouting Sailor Doll This doll is really one of a kind. She was custom made by a doll maker from Alaska. And commissioned by my grandmother. Very little is known about the origins of the doll except that her name is Allison. Her face. Hands and feet are custom painted, she has freckles across the bridge of her nose, lightly blushed cheeks and large green eyes as well as real human hair. And of course is dawning a very sweet pout! Her arms. Legs and head are what I believe to be porcelain but I am unsure, but they are hollow and some sort of pottery. Allison is 22 inches in length and weighs 3 pounds and one ounce. Allison would make a wonderful addition to a pristine and unique collection of dolls.

4 Piece Pre-Columbian Nayarit Shaft Tomb Offering Pottery Group, Ancient Mexico
A four piece grouping of Pre-Columbian Nayarit offering vessels. Circa 200 B.C. 300 A.D. The plate measures about 5" across, the bowl about 4" across, the small jar about 5" tall and the fat jar about 5" tall. Each features a highly burnished orange finish. The bowl and the bottom of the plate feature interesting striated burnished decorative designs, best visible when viewed in cross light. These items would have been placed with the deceased in the deep shaft and chamber tombs of West Mexico to symbolically provide sustenance during the journey to their concept of the afterlife. It is rare to find matched grouping such a wide range of forms as these. Condition: Each vessel is intact and in excellent condition. With minor chipping, abrasions weathering and wear. Miniature Pre-Columbian Nayarit Tripod Vessel, Ancient Mexico
A miniature tripod vessel from Pre-Columbian Nayarit. West Mexico, circa 200 B.C. 300 A.D. Measures approximately 2 ¾” tall by about 2” wide. This interesting vessel features a reddish orange pigment over the surface. With a fine cream-colored slip, depicting circular symbolic forms around the exterior, possibly representing the sun. The rounded vessel body sits gracefully atop three tripod legs. Condition Intact overall. With one tripod leg reglued into place with no restoration over the breakline, and a trowel mark on the very bottom of the bowl. Provenance: Former Lynn Langdon collection of West Mexican artifacts. A roller stamp from ancient West Mexico. Circa 200 B.C. 200 A.D. This item measures approximately 1 1/2" long by about 1" wide, and comes from one of the prominent ancient West Mexican cultural complexes: Colima, Nayarit or Jalisco. It is difficult to attribute it to one specifically, since it does not exhibit features distinct to any particular one. These items are thought by scholars to have perhaps been used as roller stamps to impress decorative designs over their bodies or fabrics, using natural dyes and pigments. Condition: Intact overall with no restoration or repair. Loss. Chipping, abrasions, weathering and wear, as visible in the photos. Heavy sediment deposits remain from thousands of years of burial. This is a rare and very unusual figural effigy of a Pre Columbian terracotta. Pottery dying deity figure lying on a bed with a blanket. It has also been described as a sleeping deity. In any event it is a real eye grabber. Figure much more realism based than a lot of Pre Columbian art complete with open mouth and teeth. Figure lying supine with legs up and either dying or sleeping. Head has holes through it but I don't know the meaning of this. He is not demanding and will not ask much attention. Here's a great antique all copper homemade moonshine still selling in very good used condition. Still is selling as we found in, has two containers both made of copper one with wooden handles, interior tank has a 4 inch round opening hole and measures 22 inches long by 11 inches wide and 12 3/4 inches tall, doesn't seem to have any leak holes but untested by us. The large bottom tub has the copper tubing inside and copper spout, measures 27 inches long by 13 inches wide and 12 3/4 inches tall we also have not found any leak hole in this tub but also untested by us. NW Territory Tlingit Wild Goose Carved from Grizzly Canine, Newton Coll. c1890
This amazing little Wild Goose is a real survivor! He very nearly was consumed by flames as my Grandfather's Collection of native Artifacts from his quarter century sojourn in the wilds of the Northwest Territory were being moved from his Puget Sound retreat. Taken from his beloved island to Seattle by his children when he was in his late 80's. He died on the shores of Lake Washington when he was around 90. One of the trucks that that were transporting his furniture and collection caught fire and some of his beloved artifacts were lost. This little goose lost it's feet. The sculpture is only about 2" long and was sculpted by a very talented Tlingit from a Grizzly Canine tooth about 1890. This was about the time that the Tlingit people were in transition, and were no longer following the migratory pattern of game and so there ... morewas time and an emerging market for fine sculpture and many more idle hours in which to carve. A mature grizzly's canine teeth are Very Impressive! and allowed the talented carvers to fashion miniature images of their favorite prey. The eyes are inlaid with two different materials, and I'm not sure what was used, but the entire Attitude of the Goose just grabs you and let's you know that he isn't a sweet little domesticated bird.
