Also included is a newer vessel with a woman holding an urn. I do not know the age of this piece. This pottery pot with lizards is 5 inches tall and 6 ¾ inches in diameter. The hole on the top is 2 inches across. It is mostly brown but has some burnishing. It is pretty thinly potted. We believe it is from the Chimu culture from Northern Peru. We have not identified any damage. Repairs or restoration other than a small chip on the opening. We are not knowledgeable on Pre Columbian pottery, so if you have questions or thoughts, please let us know.

Location: San Diego. California 91911 Hello everyone, Here I have a thoroughly restored antique clawfoot bathtub. It has been completely restored in the highest grade most durable finish available on the market. It is scuff. Stain, and resistant to yellowing, lead free finish. It is 30" wide by 60" and may have to be slanted to the side a bit to get through narrower doors. I have invested several hours in thoroughly stripping off old paint. Rust and prep. Not to mention creating the outer side stone look, primered, refinished and polished the inside. Along with investing the same on each of the claw feet. It was quite a process but alas it is done truly the right way. The outer side has been custom refinished in an imitation stone finish(Beachsand) with a high grade matte topcoat. The inside has been refinished in standard white ... morehigh gloss finish. I have not yet chosen a color for the feet"they are currently finished in white and sealed" They may be painted in detail with different colors to make them look like real claw feet. I professionally repair/ restore old damaged or outdated baths and showers. I do the work myself to assure the best work. And have the documentation to prove the finishes I use are of the highest quality and durability. Antique Winchester Shovel Sharp Shooter Made in America
I found this nice older Winchester shovel at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago. The length overall is 34 inches and the blade is 5 1/2 inches wide by 7 inches long. The bottom of the blade is no-longer rounded as it has been used. May have been flattened for a special use by the owner, or just through use. It is complete and in good condition. The top handle is a little loose but the wood is not split or broken. It is in ready to use condition. On the bottom of the handle is stamped Winchester Made in U.S.A. with 4 zeros under the Made in U.S.A. stamp. Also there is a large# 14 stamped on it which you may be able to see in the picture. The paint is faded in places but the patterns are clear. This is a great piece for collectors for keeping or sale. Much better condition than standard pieces for sale. I think it us Mayan but I am looking into it and change listing when I see bit it is good art. The unusual.Geometric patterns are pleasing to the eye but I am not sure if they have meaning. Bundle of 6 Precolumbian pot legs. Ancient Mexico. Glaze. Ancient Mexican potters didn’t have glazes so they decorated their pots with: incising(digging into the clay) Slip covers(a thin layer of a different color of clay) firing with dung(the dung burned, turned to charcoal, and blackened the surface of the pot; I watched this process in action in a village in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1965. and painting the finished product. Several of these samples include painted decorations. It’s unusual for the paint to last 1.000+ years. The first pot leg, the serpent, was painted red and black. Two rounded legs have large red spots. The wide leg appears to have an orange slip cover. 1. painted serpent. About 3.75” long, 1.5” at widest point, and 1.25” wide at middle; photos a& b; 2. bundle of 6 pot legs. Photo c; 3. wide one. Photos d& e; 4. red pointed ... moreleg. I collected precolumbian sculpture from 1965 through 1967 in Mexico when I was a teenager and- from 1966 through'67- an anthropology student at the Universidad de las Americas in Mexico City. I found or bought these pot legs in Mexican archaeological zones(when it was legal to do so; and brought them home to the U.S. when it was legal to do so) The last one. With the ruler, is from Tula, Hidalgo, Mexico. How to distinguish an authentic precolumbian sculpture from a fake: a) provinance; know the source; b) study precolumbian anthropology; see what's in the museums and the books; c) lick. Or otherwise wet, the object and see how long it takes to dry; ancient ceramics take a long time to dry because they are more porous than new ceramics.

This wonderful antique Climax Grist Mill Fan is very early. And beautiful for display. Original colorful paint of yellow, beet red, and with green design. Not certain if it would be Mennonite or Amish. Generously sized at 50 inches height/ 44 inches length/ 30 inches width/depth. Worn paint in many places. But overall good for it's age. All parts good except for base of 2 of the legs are ragged/worn at bottom, and should be repaired.

A cute piece for the easier budget to get items of Pre Columbian style imagery. This is nay be up to 50-60 years old tops and has a man playing flute motif. The Latin and pre Columbians loved music and rhythms for ceremony and fun. It's hard to go to a South American City and not seeing men playing a variety of flutes. Many flutes were made in pottery and played quite well despite taking the forms of many animals. It is amazing how these artisans could make such non standardized pieces that carried notes. This piece about 2 inches long. Intact clasp and could even be made a pendant. A nice item for a change of pace. On the under surface is printed the phrase"art museum relic" which is likely where this came from. I don't know what culture this represents but I think I have seen it in Inca. This is a wonderful brown ware piece from the Jalisco Culture in Western Mexico. A seated dead warrior figure in death. The helmet says he is a warrior and the death bubble in his mouth indicates he is dead in some great beyond. A difficult piece to find it is a classic with smooth lines looking almost as though it were sculpted than moulded from brown ware pottery. Good condition. No cracks.
