Up for bid we have a sugar spoon in the“Viking Rose” pattern which was made by the Norwegian maker T.H. Marthinsen. The overall length of the piece is approximately 4 7/8” The back of the handle reads NM 830S. The symbol for T.H. Marthinsen, and the number 240. It does not have a monogram or evidence of one having been removed. This piece has been hand polished for your immediate use. There are no dents. Bends or repairs. It does have use marks and light scratches on the serving area and handle. There had been an area of dark tarnish in the bowl that has been removed. Where the tarnish had been shows a slightly different color than the surrounding silver. This area is smooth and has a nice shine. P ardon the reflection of our camera lens in some of the photos. Vintage modernist Scandinavian silver pendant and chain depicting a stylised Viking ship This impressive and stylish pendant is really a mystery to me. I've been trying hard to find out who made it but no such luck! Anybody out there able to help. The pendant is 82 mm high(bail included) and it is 38 mm wide. The silver is about 2 mm thick. It is marked 830S and a maker's mark(see pictures) The chain has always been together with the pendant. It is 50 cm long and has a thickness of 3 mm. Marked 830S and another illegible maker's mark. Antique pickle castor lid*Figural ship*Fits inside or outside jar Offered here is a rare figural pickle castor lid. This is a Viking ship which forms a handle on top the lid. The lid will fit inside a jar 2 3/8" or over the outer edge of a jar with a 2 1/4" opening. This is sliver-plate on a sturdy hard white metal. The lid has a 3/16" lip. It is 2 5/16" across the lip. 2 1/2" high. The silver-plate is good, there are some dings and dents on the lower edge to one side and one 1/4" long dent on the other side above the rounded edge. Great silver viking salt with spoon and blue liner. The salt is 3 1/4 inches long to the end of the dragons. I assume it is silver plate and marked on the bottom 60 gr H.S. Both the ship and the spoon are marked this way. The spoon is also marked NORGE on the front. There is some tarnish to the silver and a teeny roughness to the glass liner. PA post office, July 20, 1976 This is the very first counterstamped coin created by Mel Wacks. Created to commemorate the NASA landing on Mars. The 1976-S 40% Silver Proof Bicentennial Dollar is counterstamped with the words"VIKING I July 20 1976 ON MARS" on reverse side. The coin is presented in the original presentation envelope which features an image of the first photo of the martian surface taken by the lander. And two US 8c stamps, Scott No. 1434"United States In Space" and Scott No. 1479"Rise of the Spirit of Independence" which were cancelled by the USPS in MARS, PA on July ... more20, 1976. The counterstamped coins and presentation envelope were limited to a total production run of 1000. Of which this is No. 676. This is a fascinating item with a unique place in both philatelic and numismatic collections. As well as commemorating the early days of space exploration. Up for bids is a vintage open salt cellar. It is in the design of a Viking ship and says Norge in the bottom. It is made and marked 830 silver making it an alloy of 83% silver. It is very delicate with a lot of details. Overall it is in fair/good shape. There are no breaks but the bottom rim does have a small dent. At some point I'm guessing it had an insert that must have got lost or broke. Therefore there is some salt corrosion on the inside. I read it could be removed with ammonia but I'm unfamiliar with the process so I'll leave it up to the buyer. It's just over 3 1/2" at its widest point and just over 1 5/8" at its tallest. The dimensions of the actual dish is about 2 1/4"x1 1/8" and about 5/8" deep. It weighs 12-13 grams. Overall. With a little polish and care, this would look great in anyone's ... morecollection. Up for auction is a Norwegian Viking Salt Boat with Spoon which is accented with red enamel and I believe the spoon was by Theodor Olsens Eftf. Of Bergen, Norway. It came with the salt cellar and I am not sure if the salt cellar is old or a copy or an original. The boat/ship is marked NORGE on the side and is in good condition and measures 3 3/8” long, 1 1/4” wide. It is marked on the bottom with the words HANDST.P.T(which may mean pewter) along with PTB in the middle. Low starting bid is for the spoon value. I have many more enamel pieces to list including spoons, forks, knives, jewelry, and many more salts.
