The agate used in this ring would have been specifically searched for it's two tone colour. And then exquisitely carved in good high relief the owl being in the red colour, the background of the lighter transparent part. A good seal ring, as well as being a decorative ring worn on the finger of someone wise and powerful. The owl was and always has been a symbol of wisdom and power. The rose gold mount is beautifully simply hand crafted. Good wide shoulders, leading down to a slimmer shank at the back. Not hallmarked. The mount measures ... moreapprox 11mm x 9mm.
