In the ancient world it would have been regarded as being of reasonably good size considering the slight build of ancient Romans(the ancient population tended to be considerably smaller than contemporary populations) The bracelet was likely worn by an adult female. The fracture was probably the result of the soil pressure exerted on the artifact during the two centuries it was buried. It might not have been a lot of pressure“how much pressure can a few feet of soil exert” You might ask. But over thousands of years even slight soil pressure on metal artifacts such as this can slowly deform them as if they were made of putty. The bracelet possesses a very nice tone to it, is quite handsome, however as is ordinarily the case, the artifact exhibits some substantial porosity(surface pitting caused by burial

CV Roman Bronze Ring ***NEW*** AMAZING LEGIONARY PENTAGRAM ~ Large Bold Bezel
ROMAN BRONZE RING Excellent Golden Legionary Pentagram~Pentacle Size 9 Average Opening = 18.87mm Antiquities Corner is proud to present this fine historical artifact for your collecting pleasure. These artifacts were originally designed to be enjoyed by their owners and I have tried to return these treasures to a state which will both charm and enchant their new owners and show the skill and craftsmanship of old. PERFECT PENTAGRAM! This super ring was found in the Balkans by metal detector and dates from the first few centuries A.D. This ring features a PERFECT and CHOICE"Pentagram" symbol surrounded by a nice bezel outline. There are groups of dots which symbolize lesser stars in between the points of the Star and another of them in the center of the main star. LOOK.at the groupings between the points of the Star! These just aren't ... morethe random groups we are used to seeing. These are arranged in a semi-circle with another one in the center. The bezel of this ring is thick and bold. The bezel measures 18mm in diameter and is quite thick Each shoulder swoops away gracefully from the round bezel. There are also the remains of some nice. This is one of the classiest examples of this ring type that I have EVER seen. The Pentagram or Pentacle has been used as a mystical sign for millennia and has a deep spiritual meaning for many cultures. It wasn't until the Middle Ages and the Inquisition in particular that a negative connotation began to be associated with it. This ring has a super color to it and the band is mirror smooth with spectacular shine. This ring was cast from that alloy that has that rich. Golden color which is so desirable. This ring also comes in a larger size 9. This fact and the super shine. Coupled with the flawless engravings make this a highly sought after item. Above and below are two more views of this EXCITING ring. This is probably one of the few stellar examples of this ring-type that I have ever come across. Above are both side views of this AMAZING ring against a white backg
CV Roman Bronze Ring ***NEW*** LEGION BATTLE STANDARD SIGNUM ~ Possible Legio XI
ROMAN BRONZE RING Triple"SIGNUM" Battle Standard Motif Size 9 1/2 Average Opening = 19.41mm Antiquities Corner is proud to present this fine historical artifact for your collecting pleasure. These artifacts were originally designed to be enjoyed by their owners and I have tried to return these treasures to a state which will both charm and enchant their new owners and show the skill and craftsmanship of old. Legions on the March! This ring was found at a Roman site in Ancient Moesia and dates from around 300 A.D. This ring features a flat. 16mm x 14mm oval bezel with some SUPERIOR engravings on it as well as an interesting lip decoration running along the bezels edge. Depicted on the bezel. Are a trio of Legion Battle Standards. This type is related to the"Vexillium" and has a pendant flag, this type also always had disks ... moreor circlets upon it. There is some debate as to which part of a legion these represented but there are some theories that these represented a particular Cohort within a Legion. You see a LOT of these on the reverse side of many Roman coins that had a Legionary significance. This is probably the most detailed example of this ring type that I have seen in quite some time. If you look closely at the little banner in the middle it looks like there is a XI for the Roman numeral 11 which may mean this was made for a soldier in the 11th Legion which was active in Eastern Europe for a few centuries. This is a well made ring with splendid decorations all the way around. Even the recessed rim has nice linear engravings on it. The color and shine of this ring are both 1st Rate and the solid looking band makes for an attractive ring. Above and below are 2 more views of this GREAT ring. The picture below shows the shine of the group of rings that I am offering tonight. This ring is Round& Sound and 100% wearable This ring has a Wonderful Golden color to it with faint patina traces remaining This ring is not a perfect circle but measures
CV Roman Bronze Ring ***NEW*** Fancy Decorated WARRIOR STAR
ROMAN BRONZE RING Awesome"Diamond-Star" with Super Decorations Size 8 Average Opening = 18.19mm Antiquities Corner is proud to present this fine historical artifact for your collecting pleasure. These artifacts were originally designed to be enjoyed by their owners and I have tried to return these treasures to a state which will both charm and enchant their new owners and show the skill and craftsmanship of old. Superb Details! This ring was found at a Roman site in Ancient Moesia and dates from 100- 300 AD We'll start out with the alloy from which the ring was cast. This ring was cast from a rich. Golden alloy which is the finest that you are likely to see in a ring of this type. The design on the raised. 10mm X 13mm rounded table bezel, is a nicely done"Diamond-Star Cross" design. which is HIGHLY detailed. The bezel ... moreof this ring is quite heavy and measures almost a full 3mm thick. LOOK.at the many fine lines which highlight this design. It is hard to tell from my pictures. But when this ring is worn out in the sunlight, the light plays across every single line which really makes it shimmer. There are nice shoulder decorations. These shoulder decorations are in the typical style of"Shoulder Escutcheons" that have little crosses on them which is a common characteristic on better quality legionary rings. The ring would have been a much valued possession. This ring is an excellent example of the period's craft. The ring is VERY MASCULINE and will be a highly noticeable wardrobe addition. The color and shine of this ring are SUPERB and this ring will make a welcome addition to ANY collection. Below is a picture showing you the shine of some of the rings that I am offering tonight. This ring is Round& Sound and 100% wearable This ring has a Wonderful Golden color to it with faint patina traces remaining This ring is not a perfect circle but measures right around a size 8 American Average Opening measures 18.19mm_

Size of the internal diameter of the ring- 18 mm. Weight of the ring- 6.27 g Authentic ancient ring. Fortuna( Latin: Fortūna. Equivalent to the Greek goddess Tyche) was the goddess of fortune and personification of luck in Roman religion. She might bring good luck or bad: she could be represented as veiled and blind. As in modern depictions of Justice. And came to represent life's capriciousness. She was also a goddess of fate: as Atrox Fortuna. She claimed the young lives of the princeps Augustus' grandsons Gaius and Lucius. Prospective heirs to the Empire. 1] Her father was said to be Jupiter and like him. She could also be bountiful( Copia) As Annonaria ... moreshe protected grain supplies. June 11 was sacred to her: on June 24 she was given cult at the festival of Fors Fortuna. Cult Fortuna and Pontos Fortuna's Roman cult was variously attributed to Servius Tullius– whose exceptional good fortune suggested their sexual intimacy[4] and to Ancus Marcius. 5] The two earliest temples mentioned in Roman Calendars were outside the city. On the right bank of the Tiber(in Italian Trastevere) The first temple dedicated to Fortuna was attributed to the Etruscan Servius Tullius. While the second is known to have been built in 293 BC as the fulfilment of a Roman promise made during later Etruscan wars[6] The date of dedication of her temples was 24 June. Or Midsummer’s Day, when celebrants from Rome annually floated to the temples downstream from the city. After undisclosed rituals they then rowed back, garlanded and inebriated. Also Fortuna had a temple at the Forum Boarium. Here Fortuna was twinned with the cult of Mater Matuta(the goddesses shared a festival on 11 June) And the paired temples have been revealed in the excavation beside the church of Sant'Omobono: the cults are indeed archaic in date. 8] Fortuna Pr

Roman Bronze Brooch Fibula and Roman Bronze Ring with Stone Set weight: 57 grams measures: 75 mm/ 49 mm dia: 20 mm The history of the Roman world is an epic story which stretches out over the course of more than two millennia- the story of an small group of villages which went on to dominate a major part of the western world and was to substantially define its culture. It is obviously impossible to summarize the entire history within a few lines. However. Most chronologies distinguish between the following phases: Origins and Roman Monarchy(753- 509 B.C. A somewhat less familiar period, at the end of which Roman territory was only one small area, Latium, which remained threatened on all sides by Italic and Etruscan peoples. The Roman Republic(509- 27 B.C. paved the way for the institutions. Administration and organizational structures that ... morewere to sustain the force of Rome. By 264 B.C. Rome controlled the entire Italian peninsula. Its ambition would then be to dominate the Mediterranean. Following the destruction of Carthage in 146, this was achieved for the western part. Macedonia, allied with Carthage, was then defeated, and Greece was“liberated” from the Macedonians in 194. Rome occupied what is today the Turkish coastline. Julius Caesar was at the origin of the change which, within a few years(49-29 B.C. would change the Roman institutions into an empire which covered almost the whole of the Mediterranean shores, plus Gaul and present day Spain. The Roman Empire(27 B.C. 476 A.D. increased the grasp of Rome on the Western world even more so. However signs of crisis increase from 250 A.D. onwards. With the rise of new peoples who threaten the borders of the Roman empire. Within the empire, Christianity progresses and the Emperor Constantine converts to it in 324. In 395, Theodosius shares the empire between his two sons. The Western Empire fell in 476, whereas the Byzantine Empire remained, with many trials and tribulations until 1453. However things are not that simple. The rise of Rome and

CLAUDIUS, Lady Liberty in 54 A.D., Bronze Imperial Roman Emperor Coin
Claudius- Roman Emperor from 41-54 A.D. Claudius was the great. Great grandnephew of Julius Caesar. The Praetorian Guard declared him emperor after the assassination of his nephew. Caligula. He was known for expanding the empire east and beginning the conquest of Britain. He was also quite an ambitious builder. Constructing many new roads, aqueducts, and canals across the empire. After his death, his grandnephew and adopted son Nero succeeded him as emperor. Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE This coin’s legend. LIBERTAS AUGUSTA. Indicated the intricate connection between the Roman's conception of freedom and peace. Roman citizens were guaranteed freedom through the Pax Augusta(peaceful stability of the Roman state) Rome's Libertas. The goddess of individual freedom, predates Christianity by a couple of centuries. From the very beginning Rome's Lady Liberty was represented with a pileus and a staff. A pileus was the cap worn by a freed slave that said. I'm a free citizen of Rome" Libertas has also been portrayed with a sword. A sceptre, scales of justice, and sometimes a torch, signifying the light of knowledge and freedom. Minting coins with Libertas on coins was often a political statement by many who succeeded tyrants. Of note here is the fact that Claudius succeed the notorious Emperor Caligula) American coins presented Libertas in much the same way. The America Eagle coins minted today depict one of the most beautiful presentations of the Standing Liberty ever struck. Other personifications of Libertas include the Statue of Liberty. Columbia and Marianne of France. The reverse of the coin

Guidance to Purchasers Regarding the Coin Specifics. Attribution, Purchase Information I am a professional numismatist with two decades experience selectively purchasing and attributing extraordinarily rare. And distinctively high quality Greek and Roman coinage. As such, please do not anticipate purchasing these unique and invaluable items at inferior coin prices, as there are an abundant number of such items presently available on eBay. Rather. If you are seeking extremely rare and valuable coins of exceptional quality, I possess some uniquely individual pieces and will sell them to genuinely earnest buyers capable of purchasing them, at legitimate prices. But less than international auction costs. I will begin with an opening bid significantly lower than an acceptable purchase price with the anticipation of future bidding. Such as eBay ... morewas designed to be. an open Auction. Each of these pieces has been carefully selected and fully attributed and thoroughly researched for similar coins sold at international auction warranting a justifiable opening bid. Each piece selected has undergone a mild cleansing with final preservation with the most expensive sealant used by the British Museum of Coins(BMC) Renaissance Wax applied with a light cotton buffing cloth. No harsh chemicals or abrasives are ever required on the coinage to bring out their lustre and so none is used. Thank you for your time and consideration in recognition of my attempts to receive the justifiable prices for the finest coins available; good hunting and successful bidding. Obverse: MYSIA. Sydenham 143d OBVERSE– Head of Mercury right wearing chlamys and winged petasos. Two pellets above REVERSE– Prow right. ROMA above, two pellets below ROMAN REPUBLIC STRUCK BRONZE COINAGE The economic crisis in the Roman Republic precipitated by the outbreak of the Second Punic War and Hannibal’s invasion of Italy led to the downsizing and eventual elimination of the AES Grave cast bronze coinage of Rome. It became no longer economically practical to produce the lower value coins through the traditional method of casting. Accordingly. Pieces struck between engraved dies gradually took their place. The transition was completed by the currency reform ... moreof 211 BC, by which the AES Grave ceased altogether. After 211 BC bronze coinage was struck in fractional denominations. In a range of values(semis, triens, quadrans, sextans, and uncial) In the second half of the 2nd Century BC, bronze coinage eventually gave way to the silver denarius as the primary standard of Roman Republic Coinage. HISTORY OF THE ROMAN REPUBLIC After the deposal of the last Etruscan king. In 509-10 BC, Rome abolished her regal system and instituted a new political order, the Republic. The king was replaced by two consuls and a range of lesser magistrates, elected annually by the whole male citizen body. The consuls chose an advisory council, the Senate, at first ad hoc, later according to well-defined qualifications(of landed wealth, military and political service) The consuls led the army in times of war and had executive powers in most others matters. Army service was a duty of citizenship but it was also a privilege for which only the wealthier(who could supply their own equipment) were eligible. Soon a small group of aristocratic families. The patricians, managed to gain a virtual monopoly on the consulship and most other civic and priestly

VERY RARE AND SCARCE ROMAN COIN supplier of all our packages is a German registered mail with tracking number of the shipment Titus Aurelius Fulvus Boionius Arrius Antoninus(19 September 86– 7 March 161) Generally known in English as Antoninus Pius was Roman emperor from 138 to 161. He was the fourth of the Five Good Emperors and a member of the Aurelii. He did not possess the sobriquet" Pius" until after his accession to the throne. Almost certainly. He earned the name"Pius" because he compelled the Senate to deify his adoptive father Hadrian; the Historia Augusta. However, suggests that he may have earned the name by saving senators sentenced to ... moredeath by Hadrian in his later years. He was the son and only child of Titus Aurelius Fulvus. Consul in 89 whose family came from Nemausus(modern Nîmes) and was born near Lanuvium and his mother was Arria Fadilla. Antoninus’ father and paternal grandfather died when he was young and he was raised by Gnaeus Arrius Antoninus. His maternal grandfather, a man of integrity and culture and a friend of Pliny the Younger. His mother married to Publius Julius Lupus(a man of consular rank) Suffect Consul in 98. And bore him a daughter called Julia Fadilla. As a private citizen between 110 and 115. He married Annia Galeria Faustina the Elder. They had a very happy marriage. She was the daughter of consul Marcus Annius Verus and Rupilia Faustina(a half-sister to Roman Empress Vibia Sabina) Faustina was a beautiful woman. Renowned for her wisdom. She spent her whole life caring for the poor and assisting the most disadvantaged Romans. Having filled with more than usual success the offices of quaestor and praetor. He obtained the consulship in 120; he was next appointed by the Emperor Hadrian as one of the four proconsuls to administer Italia. Then greatly increased his reputation by his

It is signed Dino Decarlo. It was crafted using the lost wax method. The Art of Lost Wax Lost wax ... morecasting has been around for thousands of years. Yet few people understand how the process actually works. Although mechanization has facilitated the lost wax process of bronze casting. The procedure is basically the same as that used by the Chinese when they first developed the process in the 2nd millennium BC. The Rubber Mold First the artist creates an original sculpture out of any number of media. Including stone, wax, clay, wood and pottery. This image is coated with a silicone rubber molding material that makes two rubber mold halves(each rubber mold has a front and a back piece) A fiberglass outer shell is added to the back of each mold so it retains its shape and rigidity during subsequent uses. These molds are the only components that are ever re-used in the casting process. All other components are re-created for each casting. The Wax Positive Once the molds are done. The insides are coated with layers of wax. The halves are then bound together and wax poured inside to complete the wax image being created. Once the wax has cooled. The mold is peeled away, yielding a wax image(the wax positive" duplicating the original sculpture. This image must then be"touched

VERY RARE AND SCARCE ROMAN COIN supplier of all our packages is a German registered mail with tracking number of the shipment Marcus Aurelius Claudius Quintillus(ca 220- April 270) was born in Sirmium(now Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia)in Illyricum. He was brother of Roman Emperor Claudius II. And became Emperor himself in 270. Quintillus' origin is uncertain. He was either from Sirmium( Syrmia; in Pannonia Inferior) or from Naissus Dardania(in Moesia Superior) both areas are located in Serbia. Variously reported to have lasted as few as 17 days and as many as 177 days(about six months) He was a Consul in 270. For 77 days. Records also disagree on the cause of his death. Historia Augusta reports him murdered by his own soldiers in reaction to his strict
