5400Y.O: GREAT SCRAPER + POTTERY + GRINDING STONE DANISH STONE AGE NEOLITHIC
NORTHERN EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description A scraper. Two typical decorated sherds, and a fragment of a polishing stone for axes! from the Neolithic Funnel Beaker Culture. Richly decorated pottery fragments with cord-handles are evidence for the Passage Grave Epoche of the"Funnel-Beaker-Culture(the TRB) 3400-2800 BC" Agriculture and animal husbandry were introduced in Denmark c. 4000 BC. Wheat and barley were grown and oxen. Sheep, goats and pigs domesticated. Large parts of the land were cultivated during the oldest peasant culture, 4000-2800 BC, and the earliest farmers were energetic builders. They constructed large assembly areas surrounded by moats and palisades like the one found near Sarup on Funen. They also built the oldest stone burial monuments, the dolmens and the passage graves, ... moremany thousands of which have been preserved in Denmark. Flint mines were opened and a whole new industry emerged which specialised in the production of elegant, polished flint axes. Large numbers of offerings have been found, including clay pots, flint tools and amber ornaments, and there is evidence of human and animal sacrifices. The first metal was brought into the country from Central Europe in the shape of simple ornaments and flat axe heads made of copper. The settlement was located at the shore of a former lake. The orange patinated pieces seems likely to have been deposited in the damp place near the settlement. I guarentee absolutely for the authenticity of these artifacts. Please view also my other auctions with relics from the European Prehistory. Powered by The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.

29 Sahara Neolithic relics - tools, celt, beads, and 1 paleolithic tool.
This group of 29 Sahara Neolithic relics. Plus a Paleolithic Aterian tool, is composed of diverse types of relics, which were discovered on ancient habitation sites deep in the western Sahara desert, mostly in the vicinity of northern Muaratania/Mali but also includes two trianglar Eiffel Tower points from Algeria. This group consist of several types and subtypes of projectile points from varying periods of the Neolithic era. Including ovate, stemmed, triangular, and unifacial tool forms. In all there are 17 stone projectile points and tools, 10 hard-stone beads(mostly quartz disc beads) one pottery bead(western Mauratania) and one hardstone celt(miniture form) There is an unusual three-sided tool seen at the bottom. This is probably a punch and is from early Neolithic Morocco. At the upper right you will see an Auterian tool from the Sahara. ... moreThis is the earlier known type of stone tool with a stem for hafting. Probably to serve as a knife/scrapper. Tips are often worked around for scrapping(not broken) as is this one. This relic is a good 30,000 years old. This is one of the more diverse offering of ancient Sahara relics you will find in one lot. The shortest point is a triangle of 11/16th inch(17 mm) long. The longest tool is the punch. It is 3 inches(78 mm) long. Seen at bottom right. The celt is 9/16th inches(19 mm) long. Heel to bit. It has been worked down to a stubby form with a bit dulled from usage. Th ese are everyday work tools and adornments used. And lost or discarded by our Neolithic and earlier hunter-gatherer ancestors. They are all honest, authentic relics in good shape, some will exhibit minor ancient damage(as seen in he photograph) Such as dings, usually to tips, tangs, and/or barbs to stemmed points. Small dings are to be expected given their delicacy, usage, and 4000+ years lying in the desert, subject to damage by adverse weather, animals, and now 4-wheel drive vehicles. These relics exhibit good patinas and are a nice, diverse sampling of relics from the Western Sahara. My auc
18 nice Sahara Neolithic points and tools, with nice knife blade
Lot Description: This is a nice group of 18 diverse Sahara desert found tools. This lot is composed of a much better than average. Diverse projectile points types including triangular, ovate, and stemmed projectile points. Most of these tools were found in the southwestern Sahara( Mauritania/Mali) There is one Eiffel Tower point from Algeria(top. Middle) These tools were used to hunt and process water fowl and other game in the now dried up lakes of the Sahara 4.000 years ago. Note the knife/blade in the upper right. Large, great color, and well made! Easily worth the opening bid my on its own. The shortest point is 7/8th inch long(22 mm) The longest tool is the aforemention knife/blade at 2 5/8th inches(60 mm) The condition is very good. There may be a minor ancient ding or two, as can be expected with working tools, most are complete. See ... morepicture for detail. The color in hand. Is better than the picture indicates. The natural light somehow washes out the color(especially whites) or maybe it's my photography skills. These relics are representative of everyday tools. Many of these tools were used until they could no longer function well because they were to small to re-sharpen at which point they were discarded others were lost in the hunt. A nice diverse sampling of Sahara tools! Background information is provided with my 2-page essay on the subject. Which will be included. Either agriculture which was just beginning at the end of the Neolithic, or a nomadic animal husbandry mode of existence. The New Stone Age was a very dynamic era giving rise to agriculture, pottery, and permanent settlements, all of which were milestones in humankinds march toward'civilized' life. The S

And they metaphorically equate jade with human virtue due to its solidity, durability and(moral) beauty. Many countries boast a jade ware culture. But none of them can China's long jadeware history. In China, jadeware underwent a long process of development beginning from the New Stone Age 10,000 years ago.The patterns of China's jadeware have rich connotations, revealing strong, auspicious colors. Bats and gourds were used as subjects for more than 100 patterns because the Chinese words"bat" and"gourd" sound like"good ... morefortune" in Chinese. When a bat was carved on an ancient coin with a hole, it meant that fortune was at hand; bats coupled with birthday peaches referred to fortune and longevity; bats mixed with sika, birthday peaches and magpies were also considered good omens. These beliefs reflected the ancient Chinese people's yearning for a happy life and revealed the essence of China's traditional culture. Jade in China is varied and can be divided into two categories: hard and soft jade. Good materials provide a strong basis for jadeware carving. But the value of a jade object depends on the skills and reputation of the craftsman, date of carving, peculiar modeling and the owner's status. Certainly, different people will have various views on the value of the same jade object. It is difficult to have a unanimous standard. Due to the high value of ancient jadeware, there is an equally long tradition of fake jadeware, which looks very much like the real thing. Bid it with confidence! Neolithic Flint Arrowhead 28mm - 4000BC (C001)
Neolithic 28mm Width: 18mm Material: Flint Colour: Brown Type: Leaf Age: 4000BC Area: Sahara The majority of flints on the market today were found in North West Africa. This is not a reflection on the density of usage of these items but more a reflection of the areas current climate- being very arid it makes it easier to find these items. The Sahara is the world's largest hot desert. Over 9,000,000 km²(3,500,000 mi²) almost as large as the United States. The Sahara is located in northern Africa and is 2.5 million years old. Its name, Sahara, is an English pronunciation of the word for desert in Arabic. The boundaries of the Sahara are the Atlantic Ocean on the west. The Atlas Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea on the north, the Red Sea and Egypt on the east, and the Sudan and the valley of the Niger River on the south. The ... moreSahara is divided into western Sahara, the central Ahaggar Mountains, the Tibesti Mountains, the Aïr Mountains(a region of desert mountains and high plateaus) Tenere desert and the Libyan desert(the most arid region) The highest peak in the Sahara is Emi Koussi(3415 m) in the Tibesti Mountains in northern Chad. The Sahara divides the continent of Africa into North and Sub-Saharan Africa. The southern border of the Sahara is marked by a band of semiarid savanna called the Sahel; south of the Sahel lies the lusher Sudan and the Congo River Basin. During the Late Neolithic period(approx 4000BC– 2000BC) the Sahara had a much wetter climate(sometimes known as the Aqualithic) and was akin to modern day North America. Arrowheads are typically collected and traded by the local nomadic peoples of the Sahara. They find them as the sand dunes move and they travel around seasonally grazing their herds. Finding and collecting items such as these provides them with a reasonable, stable income. Payment via Paypal only- sorry. Had problems with other methods in the past. Payment within 7 days please.
