We will do the best to solve the problem Please don't miss it for your collection! This ancient treasure has waited for Hundreds of years to be held by a living admiring hand and now you have this opportunity. Note: The color may deviate a little from the picture to the real item. Description The Chinese regard carved jade objects as intrinsically valuable. And they metaphorically equate jade with human virtue due to its solidity, durability and(moral) beauty. Many countries boast a jade ware culture. But none of them can China's long jadeware history. In China, jadeware underwent a long process of development beginning from the New Stone Age 10,000 years ago.The patterns of China's jadeware have rich connotations, revealing strong, auspicious colors. Bats and gourds were used as subjects for more than 100 patterns because the Chinese words"bat" and"gourd" sound like"good fortune" in Chinese. When a bat was carved on an ancient coin with a hole, it meant that fortune was at hand; bats coupled with birthday peaches referred to fortune and longevity; bats mixed with sika, birthday peaches and magpies were also considered good omens. These beliefs reflected the ancient Chinese people's yearning for a happy life and revealed the essence of China's traditional culture. Jade in China is varied and can be divided into two categories: hard and soft jade. Good materials provide a strong basis for jadeware carving. But the value of a jade object depends on the skills and reputation of the craftsman, date of carving, peculiar modeling and the owner's status. Certainly, different people will have various views on the value of the same jade object. It is difficult to have a unanimous standard.

24 good Sahara Neolithic points and tools
Lot Description: This is a diverse group of 24 good. Diversse Sahara desert found tools. This lot is composed of a diverse group of projectile point and tools forms. The lot consist of all the main types including stemmed. Triangular, ovate, and unifacial and are mostly from the southwestern Sahara(northern Mauritania/Mali) These are also other interesting tools sucha as drills. Scrappers, and crescent blades. Th ese tools were used to hunt and process water fowl and other game in the now dried up lakes of the Sahara 4.000 years ago. These tools are of mixed size. The shortest tool is 3/4th inch long(20 mm) The longest tool is a drill-like tool of 1 5/8th inches(43 mm) The condition is good. There are ancient dings to some of these points and tools, as can be expected with working tools. These small tools were used and lost or discarded when ... morethey became too small to use; most are complete. See picture for details. The color in hand. Is better than the picture indicates. The natural light somehow washes out the color or maybe it's my photography skills. These relics are representative of everyday tools. Many of these tools were used until they could no longer function well because they were to small to re-sharpen at which point they were discarded others were lost in the hunt. A nice diverse sampling of Sahara tools! Background information is provided with my 2-page essay on the subject. Which will be included. Neolithic populations living near now dried lakes and rivers in what is now the Sahara desert; used these tools in the hunt for and processing of waterfowl and small game. The end of the Ice Age resulted in global climate changes which stopped the rains and forced these Neolithic(New Stone Age) peoples into new modes of existence. Either agriculture which was just beginning at the end of the Neolithic, or a nomadic animal husbandry mode of existence. The New Stone Age was a very dynamic era giving rise to agriculture, pottery, and permanent settlements, all of which were milestones in humankinds mar
