7500Y.O: GREAT ARROW HEAD POINT STONE AGE NEOLITHIC FLINT LINEAR POTTERY CULTURE
MIDDLE EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description very typical arrow head( arrow point) from the Early Neolithic Linear Pottery Culture. Dating 5600/5500-4900 bc. The Linear Pottery culture or(German) Linearbandkeramik(abbr. LBK) Bandkeramik, Linear Band Pottery culture, Linear(Band) Ware culture, Linear Ceramics culture, Danubian I culture of V. Gordon Childe, Early Danubian culture or Incised Ware Group is a major archaeological horizon of the European Neolithic(stone age) flourishing ca. 5500—4500 BC. The heaviest concentrations are on the middle Danube, the upper and middle Elbe, and the upper and middle Rhine. The LBK represents the advent of agriculture into this part of the world. The LBK at maximum extent ranged from about the line of the Seine—Oise(Paris Basin) eastward to the line of the Vistula ... moreand upper Dniester, and southward to the line of the upper Danube down to the big bend. An extension ran through the Western Bug river valley, leaped to the valley of the Dniester, and swerved southward from the middle Dniester to the lower Danube in eastern Romania, east of the Carpathians. Danube lands near Vienna, by Johann Christian Brand, ca. 1760The LBK did not begin with this range and only reached it toward the end of its time. It began in regions of densest occupation on the middle Danube(Bohemia, Moravia, Hungary) and spread over about 1500 km along the rivers in 360 years. The rate of expansion was therefore about 4 km per year, which can hardly be called an invasion or a wave and does not offer much support to theories of population replacement. A model of gradual colonization is perhaps most apt. The LBK was concentrated somewhat inland from the coastal areas; i.e. it is not evidenced in Denmark or the northern coastal strips of Germany and Poland, or the coast of the Black Sea in Romania. The northern coastal regions remained occupied by Mesolithic cultures exploiting the then fabulously rich Atlantic salmon runs. There are lighter concentrations of LBK
5400Y.O: GREAT SICKLE INSET DANISH STONE AGE NEOLITHIC FUNNEL BEAKER CULTURE
NORTHERN EUROPEAN STONE AGE ARTIFACTS BY PALATINA AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED Description"Early Neolithic Sickle Inset with trimmed rear edge" belonging to the Funnel Beaker Culture. Also called Megalith Grave Culture 4000-2800 bc. Agriculture and animal husbandry were introduced in Denmark c. 4000 BC. Wheat and barley were grown and oxen. Sheep, goats and pigs domesticated. Large parts of the land were cultivated during the oldest peasant culture, 4000-2800 BC, and the earliest farmers were energetic builders. They constructed large assembly areas surrounded by moats and palisades like the one found near Sarup on Funen. They also built the oldest stone burial monuments, the dolmens and the passage graves, many thousands of which have been preserved in Denmark. Flint mines were opened and a whole new industry emerged which specialised ... morein the production of elegant, polished flint axes. Large numbers of offerings have been found, including clay pots, flint tools and amber ornaments, and there is evidence of human and animal sacrifices. The first metal was brought into the country from Central Europe in the shape of simple ornaments and flat ax heads made of copper. Blade sickle or insets are the first type of sickles from the Neolithic. This terrific and rare piece is 52 mms long. Wonderful marble-like flint with fossil includings! Provenance is an old collection. More details will follow the artifact. I guarantee absolutely for the authenticity of this early sickle-type from the Younger Stone Age. Please view also my other auctions with relics from the European Prehistory. Powered by The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.

Especially in Europe, Mexico, Asia, New Zealand, and North Africa(including ancient Egypt) The best-known finds are from the lake dwellings of Switzerland, western France, and China. The source for Europe’s Neolithic jade remains undiscovered, but it was probably from a deposit in the Alps. Nephrite is very hard and was prized for keeping a sharp edge. In the Americas the Aztecs, Mayas, Olmecs, Toltecs, and other Pre-Columbian peoples of Mexico and Central America carved jadeite for use as ornaments, amulets, and badges of rank. Nearly all of these Meso-American jades are of various shades of green, with emerald green the most highly prized color among the Aztecs. The jade carvings range from plaques, figurines, small masks, pendants, to of course, tools and weapons. The widespread use of jade died out in Meso-America after the Spanish conquest in the 16th century. Here are two nice quality 19th century antique hand crafted/shaped/polished semi-precious jade gemstones. The gemstones were hand shaped and polished by a 19th century Rus

22 good, common-grade Sahara Neolithic points and tools
Lot Description: This is a diverse group of 22 good. Common-grade Sahara desert found tools. This lot is composed of a diverse group of projectile point and tools forms. The lot consist of all the main types including stemmed. Triangular, ovate, and unifacial and are mostly from the southwestern Sahara(northern Mauritania/Mali) Th ese tools were used to hunt and process water fowl and other game in the now dried up lakes of the Sahara 4.000 years ago. These tools are of mixed size. The shortest tool is 11/16th inch long(17 mm) The longest tool is 2 inches(52 mm) The condition is good. There are ancient dings to some of these points and tools, as can be expected with working tools. These small tools were used and lost or discarded when they became too small to use; most are complete. See picture for details. The color in hand. Is better than ... morethe picture indicates. The natural light somehow washes out the color or maybe it's my photography skills. These relics are representative of everyday tools. Many of these tools were used until they could no longer function well because they were to small to re-sharpen at which point they were discarded others were lost in the hunt. A nice diverse sampling of Sahara tools! Background information is provided with my 2-page essay on the subject. Which will be included. Neolithic populations living near now dried lakes and rivers in what is now the Sahara desert; used these tools in the hunt for and processing of waterfowl and small game. The end of the Ice Age resulted in global climate changes which stopped the rains and forced these Neolithic(New Stone Age) peoples into new modes of existence. Either agriculture which was just beginning at the end of the Neolithic, or a nomadic animal husbandry mode of existence. The New Stone Age was a very dynamic era giving rise to agriculture, pottery, and permanent settlements, all of which were milestones in humankinds march toward'civilized' life. The Sahara Neolithic lasted from 9,000 to 4,000 BP(years Before Present) I wil

Rare and Ancient Chinese 2200 Years Old Neolithic Animal God / Tool
This dear little animal has a wonderful upturned snout above his carved mouth. A beautifully arched forehead, supporting round bulging eyes, and surmounted by two pointed well-defined ears. Behind the neck it has its original hand drilled holes which surely did and could once again hold a fitting for wear around the neck or from a waist circle. He curves down in a fascinating manner and inserting one’s finger inside the curve leads one to believe it may have been a tool and possibly and archers support. It is a marvelous genuine artifact that is a pleasure to behold and would be a joy to wear. A genuine artifact from our collection we are disassembling due to our retirement. His hands sit on each knee, both of which are bent to show toes pointed inward of the feet. The rear view displays buttocks clearly in a sweet naïve fashion. He possesses original laboriously carved holes between his arms and body with another hole between his feet and legs that were probably meant to hold ceremonial or good luck charms of some type. He is double drilled in back at the shoulders for holding a neck chain or apparatus of some sort. His side view is excellent. He is a wonder to behold.
