Brazil's largest publisher"Record" issued a rare comemorative edition of Debret's Voyage Pittoresque et Historique au Bresil. Debret remained in Brazil from 1816-1831, recording most faithfully all aspects of Brazil from the flora and fauna to slavery and the royalty, leaving us a very important documentation of life in Imperial Brazil during the early 19th century. They are hallmarked with the designers name which looks like Tosfi or Tosti or it could be a C at the beginning. I have not been able to identify the designer. They are also marked"925" for sterling silver. They weigh 10.0 grams. They were very expensive when I bought these. This piece can be traced back to trough my family to the late 1800's. It made its way to the states in the early 1950's from present day Slovania after ww2. The family had a little money back then and was able to own objects such as this. They even had a Rembraint. Excuse my spelling. Anyhow, the communist Government took everything after the war, except for what was hidden. This was one of the objects. It made its way down to me, I need money not old jade carvings. The mama parrot(or Papa? is about 7 3/4 inches tall, while the two juniors measure in at about 3 1/4 inches. The bottle of water doesn't come with the set, but is there to show scale of height) The tails are open to hold flowers. These are vintage and are in gently used condition with some surface scratching. But no chips, cracks or flea bites.

Here we have a really beautiful pair of sterling silver Mayan sun calendar cufflinks with a box. These cufflinks are quite dense and they are marked"STERLING" MEXICO" 925" on the back. There is a hallmark on the back but it is not decipherable and it appears to be three capital letters. These cufflinks and the stems are sterling but we do not believe that the catches are sterling. The catches are working well and are tight when open so the cufflinks will not get lost. They weigh 9.8 grams and measure 17.5mm or 11/16" in diameter. These cufflinks are in very nice vintage condition with some very light denting on the back and on the edges. Up for auction is a mosaic malachite stone Aztec/Mayan Warrior Plaque/Calendar. This is a really cool reproduction of an actual archaeological find. I cannot verify it but I’m almost positive it’s made out of malachite stone with a mosaic layout and gold borders. It appears to be tiny stone chips cast in a heavy resin. The back is lined with a red felt like material and has a torn sticker that supposed to read. Artesanias Heredia de Mexico S.A. It has a metal hoop for wall hanging as well. It measures approximately 11 ½” in diameter and 9/16” thick. The plaque is in decent condition with minimal wear from age and storage.
