Vintage Mexico Mayan Clay Effigy Figurine 4.5" Tall
Every May in Jacksonville. Florida, the World of Nations Celebration takes place at Metro Park adjacent to the Jaguars Stadium. Countries from all over the world participate and share their native culture, art, dishes, wares, costumes and dances. There's nothing like it. I purchased this clay effigy from the Mexico exhibit about 20 years ago. The figure stands 4.5" high X 2" at widest X 1.5" at its base. The clay is painted white with green, blue and red accents. This is a great piece for that little empty spot. Excellent condition. Stand not included.

hello after much thought I have decided to put up for sale part of my collection which I adquired from my dad while I was kid in guerrero. Mexico. I have owned this pieces for quite a long time and have been apraised by arqueologist at the INAH( Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia) National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico city in chapultepec. This is a pair of Mayan ear flares made out of jade in the form of a flower they measure: thickness- 1/2" Small diameter( this is where the ear sits) 3/4" big diameter( where the flower shapes) 1 1/16" these are superb examples of maya craftmanship on body oraments, perfect concave so the ear wont slide out, and two conically drilled holes on the end sides for extra security, they probably atach a smaller bead for counterweight or symply insert some type of needle ... moretrough the hole. nice polish, sigs of erotion can be seen as shown on pictures, and mineral deposits can also be seen around the pair. highly wearable, low price and No reserve! shipping is free for the continental US, international bidders please contact me for a shipping quote.

This is one of many pieces we have and are selling for a customer through our auction gallery. This is a rare carved and etched Stone Trinket Box. There is a small stone figurine on the inside. This is a great looking old piece. The top is cracked and burned? The box measures 5" x 3" x 3" and the figure measures 2.25" tall. It is designed on 4 sides with a Mayan or Aztec symbolism. These artifacts have amazing detail and are great representations of primitive pieces. We believe these to be modern reproductions. Though many of the artifacts are very OLD. You decide. MAYAN AZTEC Figurines TWO Carved? Stone? Mold? Don't Know!
Here is an interesting pair of Mayan? Aztec? Inca? figures. I know nothing about them except they have a thick layer of dust around the bowls they are holding. So they have been around a while! I don't know what material they are; feels like stone to me, but I won't swear to it. When I scraped the bottom of one of them, it left a powdery residue. Together they weigh about 12 ounces. The taller one stands on his own; the other does not. They look cool on my bookshelf but it's time to part with them.
