Rare Bactrian Camel Cloisonne Enamel Plate Trinket Dish Tray Asian Yellow Beige
This is a fantastic piece! Central Asian two hump Bactrian Camel. Or Camelus bactrianus, in yellow with a greyish/creamy pink enamel background. The front of the dish has several crazing marks radiating from the top right area. Check out the photos, the cracks are barely visible when you don't already know they are there. Evidently the piece was dropped at one time, because there are two small areas where the enamel is chiped on the back side of the dish. No dents, and not misshapen. The back is stamped"CHINA" Can be used as a trinket dish, coaster, ashtray, etc. The slight damage on the front is hardly noticeable; the chips on the reverse are small- check the photos. This is darling. 3-5/8" Diameter. It was not originally sold as a tobacciana item. Although it could be used by a Camel cigarette lover!
