Up for bid is a very rare. Very exotic and very amazing ANTIQUE 1900'S EGYPTIAN SOLDIER'S SWORD WITH ALL BONE HANDLE& SLEEVE" manufactured in Egypt somewhere around the turn of the 20th century. This amazing sword has managed to survive the test of time, it is unbelievably amazing in it's construction and stunning to say the least. The blade is a classic one sided(battalion leader style) and it carries much nostalgia as well, almost Casablanca like. The handle, handle guard and sleeve are simply outright astonishing. The guard made of solid brass type gold metal arches upward into 3 points, almost as though it is of some sort of symbol or ancient custom and it gives the handle such nostalgia. The handle and sword sleeve are made of sheets of bone, actual bone. laid into gorgeous gold metal frame that also hoist fantastic ... morepatterns of black, gold, and ruby red throughout. This is extremely full of character, history, nostalgia and has a great primitive Egyptian feel. This amazing sword does have wear. It is very pretty and measures 9 1/2" tall from top of screw to bottom of the hook, the hook alone is 3 1/2" tall. I am fairly certain that this pattern is from Russell& Erwin. The rosette is not in the same color tone nor does it look like the same theme, the hook has a bronze tone and the rosette has a pewter tone. Rare Antique Art Deco Dore Bronze Egyptian Dancer Sculpture
You are viewing a large 13 inch in height. Art Deco dore solid bronze sculpture, inset with carved ox bone features. The sculpture is made by the listed artist Marcel Bouraine and has a beautiful green veined black marble base measuring 5 inches by 7 inches and 3/4 inches in thickness. There are no breaks or chips. Marcel Bouraine born in Pontoise, France had created many important bronze sculptures and he was exhibited in all of the Salons of Paris in the 1930s. The"Dancing Girl" is very rare and comprised of many interlocking bronze and ox bone pieces. The supporting leg and column are of solid cast bronze with a faux ox bone and marble finish. The female dancer has been influenced by the Egyptian revival and cubist movement of the 1920's and 30's. There is a"24" inscribed in the front pleat of her dress, but ... moreno apparent signature. Antique Egyptian Camel Saddle, Lot 222
This was an estate sale find. There are two brass top caps on each end of the saddle horns. The caps have embossed on them a camel in front of a pyramid. The sides of the saddle have a pattern of brass studs The saddle has some splitting in the wood and one of the underside rods has a crack in it. The saddle is wobbley due to its age and the fact that the leather straps have hardened from years of age. Of the saddles I have seen on Ebay many look to have been decorative items made for tourists.This may just be one that was actually used. Up for bids is a great OLD Wooden Box. It came from the Estate collection of a world traveler. I do not know what kind of wood it is or what it was made to hold or where it is from! It is 8& 3/4 in. long. 1& 3/4 in. wide and 2 in. high. It easily slides open, with small brass nails holding on the bottom. There is also a thin brass or copper band around it. There is an old paper(with writing) stuck to the bottom of the inside. It also seems to has old ash on the inside walls. The wood is very dense and hard. A Superb Antique Hand Sewn Egyptian Wall Hanging or Door Curtain-c1920s.
This is a stunning Hand Sewn Antique Egyptian Wall Hanging or Door Curtain. It has been all hand sewn with applied pieces of fabric in order to create the wonderful designs shown in the photos. All the hand stitching is clearly visible. The Door Curtain/Wall Hanging measures approximately 72x37 inches and weighs around 894 grams. It is in good vintage condition. With some signs of wear commensurate with age and use. This basically consists of some marks. Some colour fading, some pieces of fabric requiring re-sewing or replacing, and some areas of repair being required. However. I consider these quite minimal bearing in mind the size and the age of the Curtain, and my mind boggles at how many hours it must have taken to create this piece of Art. A wonderful addition to any similar collection.

These handmade shawls became very popular during the 1920s and 1930s, following the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in Egypt in 1922 by Howard Carter. The Assuit shawls with their geometric patterns became wonderful accessories to the low-waisted, heavily beaded flapper dresses of the time, and much prized. This one weighs over 400 gr. it drapes beautifully- like a silver waterfall- so many hammered silver pieces! It is a large shawl- 80cm wide and 225cm long. It is clean and white, with just a little tarnish or oxidisation of the silver metal commensurate with age and one tiny pale mark towards one edge(last image) It is quite stunning- the myriad silver pieces reflecting the light beautifully! UNUSUAL ANTIQUE HAND CARVED STONE EGYPTIAN SCARAB STATUE FIGURE
A really fascinating stone Egyptian carving. It is quite unusual and has what appears to be a bull or cow head. The body is definitely a beetle. With very detailed beetle legs, while the head is definitely a bovine. There is a hole at the back of the scarab and one at the front, These appear to be for passing a rope or cord through. On the underside of the carving is a flat surface that has been carved with many hieroglyphs. This piece has some light scratches from use and age but overall is in good antique condition and looks amazing, It measures 3 7/8" in length x 2 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" at tallest point. No reserve. The triangular crest is mounted with a gilt metal classical scene of a Putto in a chariot, leading horses through the heavens. This piece lifts from the top over round dowels. The clock case is in two parts, the lower pedestal and the upper clock case. The clock case is framed in two tapered pillars, each capped by Egyptian masks over anthemion mounts over tiny gilt feet at the bottom of the pillars. The clock face is symmetrically detailed with gilt metal mounts ... morearound a white porcelain face, black painted with Roman Numerals and intense chased brass at the center and around the edges. A mask of Dionysus hangs as the pendulum in an original glass window. Side doors on either side of the clock open over original hinges to allow access to the clock without moving it. Though, I do know that my grandfather got these when he was on business in Egypt in most likely 1920. These shine extremely well and hold the shine, which to seems to indicate these are sterling(definitely not plated) with possibly bronze underneath. These really are beautiful. Antique PEACOCK EYE GLASS Purse Frame Czech Egyptian Revival Bakelite Clasp Vtg This amazing purse was produced circa early 1900's and features an Egyptian revival design featuring a brass frame set with these wonderful Bohemian peacock eye glass cabochons with what I believe to be a bakelite clasp featuring the likeness of King Tut. The frame is in excellent condition although the brass frame has darkened with age. The peacock eye cabs are gorgeous and undamaged. The clasp is really nice too. As you can see. The silk? material of the purse has shredded with time however the wonderful ribbon flower decorated lining is actually in nice condition. The one pocket needs a bit of sewing and there are a few small spots. Has that old storage smell also. I decided not to dismantle and sell the frame only as I thought the new owner may want it ... morefor a pattern and maybe could reuse the lining. I can just image how gorgeous these frame would be added to a beaded or tapestry purse. I first thought the figural clasp piece was glass. However I really think it is bakelite. When I test it, it test a dark reddish brown which from what I have read is how a lot of early European bakelite tests. Either way, it is definitely carved and wonderful! Approx. measurements of the frame are 5 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" tall( not counting the 1" tall figural clasp) I could not find a makers mark on inside of frame however it was hard to look as the fabric is securely sewn to frame. Really an amazing purse frame. Vintage items are a piece of history and always in style. Offering styles and construction that cannot be duplicated today. Buying vintage is a wonderful way to contribute to"going green" by recycling pieces from the past. ~Please note~ Most of my pictures are taken with a magnifying lens giving me clear. Close up photos. In all likelihood a Koranic passage.
