The lamp measures about 21 inches across and the bowl and measures about 16 inches from griffin to griffin. It stands about 19 inches tall. The detailing with the Egyptian griffins on the base and column is fabulous. I added the vintage crystals to this lamp. other then that-it is as found. The nose is missing on one of the griffins but it displays amazingly well. There is new wiring with a new on/off switch. Opportunities like this come but once in a lifetime. Antique Arabic Headress Necklace White Metal C19th/20th Belly Dancing Egyptian ?
Beautfiul Arabic headress or necklace made of white metal. I dont think it is made of silver though it's soldered well,and strongly made. it has no hallmarks I can see] the elaborate and complex design must have taken a long time to make and would be prefect for a Belly Dancer or performer. The collar itself is 26cm long from end to end and is attached to a black velvet ribbon, so it can be worn on the head. It could easly be linked to a chain to be worn as a necklace the drop is is 9cm. I'm not sure which country it comes from, someone suggested it might be Egyptian and there is one old coin in the dangling fringe that would help identify it. It looks to have some age. As the glass insets have faded, and the metal itself has tarnished somewhat.but is a great decorative pirce of jewellery and very striking. Any info would be appreciated.

We are pleased to offer a fabulous and rare chafing dish from International Silver Co. The pattern is Antique Egyptian and it was designed expressly for the Cafe de L'Opera in New York City in 1910. A scarab features prominently in the pattern and the pan is accented with a papyrus frond on the handle. The frame and pan are also decorated with squares on the rims. The menu for the cafe used the scarab as its logo- a website from the New York Public Library has a photo that shows the original menu. An ad pictured in the book Silver Plated Flatware Patterns 2nd Edition by Fredna Harris Davis and Kenneth K. Deibel. Copyright 1981 gives us information about the pattern. The Jeweler's Circular Weekly dated February 12, 1910 advertised this pattern and described it as made exclusively for the Cafe which opened and closed in 1910 in one ... moreof the most spectacular restaurant failures in history. Backers spent millions of dollars. Including $250,000 for the silver service(in 1910 dollars! A dress code of"black tie only" did not meet with public acceptance and the restaurant closed within 6 months of the opening. This chafing dish and frame offer a spectacular example of Art Deco elegance. It's truly a rare find and will be treasured by any silverplate collector! Condition: Very good- a few scratches and dings on the pot but the inside is clean. The frame is slightly bent as seen in the photos and the legs show some old repair work. Please note that there is no burner but that can be easily replaced. It has been hand polished so there will be no surprises. Any dark spots in the photos are reflections only. Up for auction is a turquoise necklace with an amulet. This necklace was found in an old wood frame. On the back is a typed piece of paper that reads“Turquoise necklace—pottery. Phallic amulet-Lower Nile Valley 6 th Century B.C. Egyptian funerary jewelry. From the collection of John and Hannah Sleigh Mills of Marietta. Ohio. Bought Cairo, Egypt by H.N.S.M.1908. Given to Robert A. Legleitner by L.S.P.1955” I have verified the necklace is turquoise, but have not verified the age of the amulet or the necklace. The amulet is a little over ¾” and appears to be stone/rock. The beaded necklace is three strands in varying lengths. It is 13” from the shortest– end to end. There is no clasp. Vintage Antique Egyptian Camel Saddle Bench Stool Ottoman Morrocan
Fabulous hand crafted Egyptian camel seat made of hand carved wood. Leather, and brass. The seat is black leather with silver stamped figures. The seat shows age wear, but the seams are all tightly stitched. The back post has a brass cap, but the front post has a hand carved camel head. All four legs are hand carved. The wood has a beautiful age patina. The piece measures 30 inches long, 14 1/2 inches wide, and 20 inches high to the top of the camel's head. The legs do need to be tightened, as they are loose. A Seated Figure of the God Thoth as an Ibis Great attention has been paid to the accurate and skillful rendering of the anatomic details of the ibis. The long curved beak is harmoniously in proportion to the gold gilt body and bronze feet. The body has been simplified and streamlined to the point where it is an exercise in pure form. The bone structure of the beak and the head are represented through carefully nuanced modelling. An ibis coffin would probably have been dedicated at a temple to Thoth. Egyptian god of writing, magic and wisdom, whose sacred animal was the ibis, and who often appeared as a man with the head of an ibis. As the creator of mankind, Thoth was one of the most important gods in the Egyptian pantheon. This piece is of an unknown age and date. 8 inches long from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail. Welcome to our auction Real Antique Ceramic Art handmade hand painting plate very rare DESCRIPTION: This is a very rare and very old. Age over 400 years, delicate and deep blue cobalt dish, glazed internally and externally. Only the round base( brown color) is unglazed. On the outer side, near the top, are two embossed, concentric circles who are hardly visible in photos. It is decorated, hand painting, with very pure cobalt, with blue motifs of flowers, and in the center exists a blue spontaneous brushstroke. This decoration show a spontaneous, naturalistic style of early period of decorative art pottery. I'm not sure of the country of manufacture. I guess that this old plate is an Egyptian faience, but I cannot rule out the possibility that this plate, be from some other country in the Middle East or Asia. It is in very good condition ... morefor its age. With the exception of a repaired chip on the rim, plus some very small signs. Greetings. Today for your consideration is an antique solid unpolished Egyptian Jade scarab. It is hand carved and etched with some hieroglyphics on the bottom. It weighs a total of 7 oz and measures 3.5" long x 2.5" wide and is 1.75" tall. I purchased some of the personal estate of a German woman who traveled abroad and had collected many artifacts and oddities throughout her lifetime and this was one of the pieces in her collection. Antique Carved Stone Egyptian Scarab Dung Beetle Statue, Hieroglyphics
Old and very detailed hand made Egyptian Scarab Dung Beetle(Asarabeus Sacer) Stone Statue. The dimensions are 3 1/2' long. 2' wide, 1 1/2' tall. I am selling a few items from a large private collection. please see my other rare items for sale on Ebay. The ancient Egyptian Scarab Beetle was a symbol of death and rebirth. The reason they associated it with reincarnation is because of the dung beetle's behavior. It's actually quite a fascinating sight to see! A female dung beetle lays its eggs in. Well, dung. It then rolls the dung on the ground until it becomes a smooth ball. This becomes not only the shelter for its young. But also provides them with food when they hatch. As the ancient Egyptians observed it. They saw the ball of dung as a golden sun being pushed along the sky by a beetle. It was hot. And also became a ... moresource of life as the new beetles emerged from it. Not only that. But when the female beetle died, it seemed as though she was reincarnated from this golden sun, with the new beetles coming out of it as though she was reborn. These born-again beetles were then worshiped as"Khepera" or"Khepri" the Scarab) Meaning"he who came forth" They represented the sun at dawn, as it was also the young sun that came forth after night. As you can see. The ancient Egyptians loved to connect any act with that of the cycles of life. Death and rebirth. Anything that could confirm their desire for an afterlife was of course used symbolically in their depictions of deities too!

Antique, Georgian, Egyptian, Door Knocker, ONE OF A KIND!!
This is a VERY unique piece! SOLID. Brass, Antique, Georgian, Egyptian motif, door knocker. This knocker was purchased by my father in England in the 1960s and was on our front door. The Egyptian motif is fairly common but one this ornate and detailed is not. It is solid brass, measures approximately 9.6" long. There is no hammer plate with it but does have attaching screws. All questions answered. Sold as is, no returns. I will ship Internationally.
