Original Antique Jade Glass Egyptian Revival Dandle Screw On Earrings 1920's
Hi. This are a wonderful pair of antique screw-on earrings. The glass has a deep green jade color with a stem going through the middle to hold it in place with the design. One must look closely with a magnifying glass to see that it is glass and not jade. The metal seems to be a brass coloring and is showing some blue oxidation. The bottom under the dangles is a white silver color. They do not appear to have any rivets and look to have been hand welded. The earrings have that early 1900's Middle eastern revival look that became so popular. No maker's mark that I can find.The dangles are a small link chain with a design flattened loop at the bottom. Some condition issues with the chains. 2 1/2 are missing and a few seem a little tangled. Stunning Egyptian revival. Green glass and early plastic, bead necklace, dating from the 1920s/ 30s. This necklace has frosted green glass beads, with black glass and gilt metal spacers. The front of the necklace has large cream early plastic flower beads, which have purple painted decoration and fancy gilt metal caps. The beads are threaded on chain and the necklace has a barrel type clasp. This necklace is approx. 48cm in length and 2cm wide at the widest point. Condition: There is a tiny mark on the centre glass bead and a line in one of the smaller glass beads but generally it is in good vintage condition.

Definitely a statement piece given its size and arresting design. The design is sleek. Beautifully designed and no doubt created by a top designer of the time but I haven't been able to identify the maker's mark. It looks to date to the art nouveau period but could possible be from the early art deco era, c1922, when Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered sparking a renewed Egyptian revival. It is a rare. Highly desirable& collectable piece& I am confident the purchaser will be thrilled with it. Measurements: 7cm long and with the bale drops 7.4cm from the 21.5" chain. ESTATE: An impressive pair of silverplated brass candlesticks. Although I can't say where they were made. they're unmarked) to me they just have that"Egyptian" form; that wonderful tapered sleekness. The candlesticks are obviously handmade and they're not new. On one of the pieces most of the silverplating has worn away, leaving a warm brass color) and on the other it's patchy, please see photos) The size is impressive as well. Each candlestick is about 13 1/2" 34 cm) tall by approximately 5" 12 1/2cm) in diameter and the pair weighs about 6 pounds. This lamp base is something I picked up from a Estate Sale. The only thing I know about it. Is what research I've done& what markings are on the lamp, itself. On the plug it reads( Made in the USA Pat# 3408618) which tells me that at least the plug was made in the late 1960's) but could of been replaced along with the cord? It has the marking( Made in Italy) on the inside of the base of the lamp, when the felt backing was pulled back. The lamp measures: approx. Antique 1896 Singer Treadle Egyptian Sphinx 7 Drawer Oak / Ornate Cast Iron
This is an 1896 Singer Sphinx in great RUNNING vintage condition. Built to last. It is# 27 and serial# 13795770. The last patent date is 1890. The fine oak, sewing machine, treadle wheel and base, and all 7 drawers are all nice. The wood pan has some veneer issues. What an immense find for a 118 year old Singer. The machine folds inside nicely and I like the gold Sphinx detail although it is worn. These 12 pictures also show the original bobbin and the original treadle base wheels. The original belt is now in a zip bag. Quite dried out and needs a new replacement. One drawer pull handle is missing, and laminate layer is missing from the top leaf cover, and some of the veneer is wavy. There isn’t a manual with it. This is for a fabulous antique large tankard or pitcher that is of a medieval court jester playing a stringed instrument. It is signed Muski and on the bottom it says handpainted and Egyptian Art Ware. It is 12 1/4" tall and 6 1/4" wide at the base. Old, I'd say they date to be tween about 1920 and 1960. Three are decorated with panels of animals and Arabic script on the sides and base. The fourth is an almost matching bowl that is decorated with Pyramids and other ancient Egyptian symbols. Size: about 4 3/8 inches wide x 2 inches high(11 x 5 cm) Weight: 344 grammes Condition: Overall very good- there is some wear as you would expect. Offered here is a very collectable set of bookends by Kathodian Bronze Works(KBW) Egyptian Scribe Circa 1914 Great patina. This set was not in any of the collecting books. KBW ceased making bookends in 1916 when they shifted production to the war effort. These bookends would be considered first egyptian revival. King Tut's Tomb and the next Egyptian Revival was in the 1920s KBW was one of the first manufacturers of bookends. In fact. In their advertisements, were called"Book Rocks" Very rare and collectible! There are no breaks in the cladding. There are some dings on the back of the base.
