Age about 400 years, delicate and deep blue cobalt dish, glazed internally and externally. Only the round base( brown color) is unglazed. On the outer side, near the top, are two embossed, concentric circles who are hardly visible in photos. It is decorated, hand painting, with very pure cobalt, with blue motifs of flowers, and in the center exists a blue spontaneous brushstroke. This decoration show a spontaneous, naturalistic style of early period of decorative art pottery. I'm not sure of the country of manufacture. I guess that this old plate is an Egyptian faience, but I cannot rule out the possibility that this plate, be from some other country in the Middle East or Asia. Antique Rare Victorian Bronze Egyptian Mythological Pin Brooch. Good Antique used condition, some minimal wear commensurate with age and use, genuine antique old item. Circa 1890-1900 Measures Approximately 2.4 x 2.6 cm The brooch is presented for sale as is, due to it's age it has developed a nice patina, being bronze I have not attempted to clean it the patination is part of it's age and charm as an antique item. Overall it is in very good condition but obviously being old and used it comes with signs of wear commensurate with age and use. It has its original Victorian extended pin which attach's to a'c' clasp pin which still works adequately for wear if desired. Antique Art Deco Egyptian Revival Pharoah & Lion Turquoise Bracelet-Rare
Up for auction is this very unique egyptian revival panel bracelet from the art deco period. I would date this bracelet to about the 1920-1930's. There are 4 pharoah heads and in the center is a mid evil looking lion head roaring. There are 2 turquoise color disc stones that have some type of design/writing on them and are facet set. The writing may be egyptian or some type of ancient writing? The stones may be glass or some type of stone that has turquoise blue enameling color. There are no cracks or chips in the disc stones. The 7 panels are connected by a ring on the top and bottom. On the hook type clasp it is stamped"France" The pharoah heads are a golden brass color and the outer part framing of the panels are silver in color. It appears that this bracelet is brass with silver metal plating. The silver plating on the back ... moreof the panels is worn and discolored. However, not seen when wearing. This is a light weight bracelet and comfortable to wear. This is a very unique bracelet and reminiscent of the ancient egyptian jewelry that came back in style during the 1920's. Measurements: 7 1/4 inches in length counting the hook clasp and connector loop. Each panel is 1 inch from top to bottom and 1 inch in width. I have not seen too many egyptian revival bracelets with a lions head in addition to the pharoah heads which makes it not only unique but rare. Definately a statment piece that will be noticed. Overall, the bracelet is in good condition for it's age. The only notible flaw I could find is the wearing to the silver metal plating on the back of the bracelet. The front that is seen when wearing is in good condition with minimal wear, but only seen up close on examination and does not take away from the beauty of the bracelet. Antique Beaded Purse Roman Greek or Egyptian Scene Columns Arches Mosaic Rug
Here's your chance to own an antique micro-beaded purse or bag. Circa 1890s to 1920s. There is a metal ornate purse frame with a 17.5" Long link carry chain(handle) the frame has a ball snap closure, and it closes tight, no bends in the frame. The purse is about 9 inches wide and 10 inches high. It is lined with a purple or violet silk like material with an inside pocket. They are very small glass beads in colors of orange, blue, and yellow, etc. The design is a scene or scenic depiction of perhaps Roman, ancient Greek or Greece or even Egyptian columns or arches, some may call it a rug design. I don't know. There is some bead loss, especially near the two hinges. The fringe is beautiful, about 1.75" long, some are missing. Please email me with any questions.
