4 Ancient Egyptian Canopic Jars with removable lids, Reproductions
This no reserve auction is for all 4 reproduction. Ancient egyptian canopic jars. These jars are around 8 inches tall and are made from what looks like a resin that looks like alabaster or some sort of stone. The front of the jars have hieroglyphics on them, and each head is shaped for a different god. The jars are hollow, and are the nicest set of reproduction jars that I've come across. I bought the set years ago when I started teaching middle school and looked through lots before finally settling on this set. They don't look cheap; they look real. Good luck and happy bidding.

I first would like to add i am not a expert or collector i was given this necklace i did take it to a person who knew a little of it and that information also was little help what i know is this is a Egyptian Ushabtis Amulet pendant i do not know the period of time but i can say i am 100% sure its ancient its beaded on a yarn string with sliced and tubular mummy beads still in really nice condition its about 28" inchs and the Ushabtis Amulet is just under 2 inch's long and about 1/2 of a inch wide. The top of the necklace on each side is not beaded to the ends there is a 3 inch space on one side and a 4 inch space on the other so you might want to restring it. I was told this necklace would probably be worth well over 100.00 and then i was told by others more then that by lots. Steatite Scarab Life. Stability_ 100% Genuine Here is a nice example of a scarab from ancient Egypt's Hyksos period(the time of Joseph in the Bible? with nicely inscribed hieroglyphs. The ankh symbol for"life" is used here three times(slight damage to the loop on one of the ankh symbols) and the djed symbol(bottom center) for"stability" is used once. The wearer of this scarab was obviously wishing these blessings for him/herself. On the top side at first it appeared that there was a chip on the side of the scarab's head but I am not sure if that is a chip or just part of the design. The scarab was recently stamped into some reddish putty to see what kind of image it would leave. It is finely cut with a mixture of real hieroglyphs and pseudo-hieroglyphs in the center bordered by a peripheral scroll boundary. Many of the Hyksos people. Being Asiatics, had only a limited knowledge of Egyptian hieroglyphs. Sometimes their inscriptions are a hodgepodge of meaningless characters mixed in with some good hieroglyphs. Ancient Egyptian Recumbent Lion Amulet I-IIc A.D.
A recumbent lion amulet in turquoise blue faience perched on a rectangular base. The lion faces straight ahead. His front paws stretched out before him. The tail curls around the right haunch, the incised mane formed in a C-hook over his shoulders. The left hind leg bent in below his abdomen, while the right hind leg is slightly bent and stretched out, indicated by the paw on his right side. The amulet measures 25 mm long x 16 mm wide x 13 mm tall. The base has a 1.6 mm hole pierced through for suspension. Top surface still shows some incrustation.
