Antique Early 1900s Oak Berkshire Ice Box with Raised Panels & Original Hardware
Beautiful compact Berkshire Antique Oak Ice Box with raised panels on wheels. Exterior completely refinished when purchased. It was stripped and finished with 4 coats of Minwax Antique Wipe-On Varnish. Then handrubbed with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax. Original brass decorative hardware on front. Door handle has a lock. But I've never owned the key and don't know if it functions. The inset handle on the top lid is solid brass. The steel hinges on the lid are original, but obviously not as decorative and the ones on the front. Wheels were missing when purchased and have been replaced. Ice chamber is missing corrugated galvanized panel on which the ice rested. Provision" chamber is missing the wire shelves. Part of the original instruction label is still attached to the lid. It mentions"Sapolio" a very well known cleaning ... moreproduct in widespread use from 1869 to 1939. I found a Sapolio ad from 1924 specifically targeting Ice Box owners. The ornate nature of the hardware leads me to believe the Ice Box is from around 1910. Overall the piece is in very good condition. The measurements are 24" wide x 16" deep and 40 1/2" tall. The ice chamber measures 19" wide x 12" deep x 12" tall. The provision area measures 20" wide x 12" deep and 15 1/2" tall. No reserve. Available for pick-up in Frederick. Maryland or will deliver FREE to your front door as long as it’s within 40 miles of Frederick. MD. IMPORTANT: If you are outside the stated free delivery area. Very graceful long and narrow antique window frames with great old hardware,1900
This is the third set of three great old window frames I am listing today. Like the other pairs.There is no glass in them. They measure 66.5" tall by 28.5" wide overall. Each of the two narrow windows(14.25"wide) is hinged and designed to open in the middle. The great old slide bolt locking mechanism is typical of old French or Belgian buildings. This old piece is marked Cartlands Patent The Convertible. We are unsure of the metal it’s made of but it appears to be bronze. The chain is not original. We think it had a cord of some type. From what we can figure. It looks like this device would open and close the window with a corkscrew movement. When laid out flat it measures about 7” long to 9 ½” depending on the screw adjustment. PAIR ANTIQUE WINDOW LOUVERED WOOD SHUTTERS ORNATE BRASS SHIELD CROWN HARDWARE
We are pleased to offer this wonderful pair of antique. Interior window shutters. The pair are of pine wood construction and feature 3 door, folding design. There are two louvered doors per shutter. The louvered doors are sectioned/divided with a top and bottom louvered section. Each shutter also has an outer paneled door. The panels are recessed and trimmed with molding. These are also divided into an upper and lower section. The shutters retain their original and ornate brass knobs and back plates. They also retain their lower locking mechanism. This is also brass and is quite ornate. When the doors are closed, this creates a shield and crown design. The upper locking mechanism is no longer present and is missing. The shutters are in good condition with expected wear and an aged condition. The louvers slide freely but not all of them stay ... moreopen and do need adjusting to correct. They are quite lovely. Antique Vintage Above Door Transom Window with Hardware
This transom window includes the original wavy glass. It measures 3' wide by 1'4" tall. Also included is the original transom hardware and the total weight is approx. 8 pounds. The house this window came from was approx 100 years old and has been recently torn down and is shown. Meticulously restored by sanding layers of paint down to the wood and using steel wool on the wavy window and the hardware. There was no rotten wood on the window.

The handle on one window latch and the two casters are porcelain. There are marks on the these but no cracks. The window latches turn. The hang hinge and other hinges and pieces are shown in the pics. And some of them we do not know their function. The little cast faucet has good threads in the connector but the handle does not turn. We believe it is made of brass. All pieces are offered and the bidder must discern their function as we do not know the names of all of them. 5 pics shown.
