This vintage industrial maple butcher block top with iron base has been retrofitted with a salvaged workbench drawer. The top has a deep mellow glow. The wooden drawer dates to the early part of the 20th century and retains its original paint. Which matches the gray paint of the table base. The top measures 72" x 30.5" x 3" thick. It stands 35 inches tall with an adjustment range of about 3" The drawer measures 32" wide x 30.5" deep(the same depth as the the table) So that it is flush with the table top on both sides and could open from either side with the addition of a second handle. Antique Steampunk NYB Company NY Vintage Industrial Cast Iron Drafting Table. Table Top is approximately 81 1/2" Long x 40 1/2" Wide x 1 1/8" Thick. When cranked all the way down with the table top flat it sit approximately 38" above the floor. When cranked all the way up with the table top flat it sit approximately 46" above the floor. To raise and lower the drafting table you turn the lower wheel facing the draftperson/architect. You turn the wheel clockwise to raise the drafting table or counterclockwise to lower the drafting table. Once you have the drafting table at the desired height it stays in that position until you turn the wheel. The drafting table tilts/angles approximately 75 degrees towards the draftperson/architect without the two bolts as seen in the photo there is an additional 5 to 10 degrees of ... moretilt towards the draftperson/architect. The bolts are there because the retired engineer who used this drafting table for work changed its function to a regular table for his reasons. To adjust the drafting table top to the tilt/angle you want you turn the top wheel which is facing out on the right side of the drafting table. You turn the wheel counterclockwise to release the pressure so you can adjust the tilt/angle of the drafting table. Then you turn the wheel clockwise to apply pressure to secure the position of the tilt/angle of the drafting table top. You can see the gears and mechanisms in the photos. Incredibly Cool Industrial Derrick Winch Table The base is an old derrick winch made by the Sasgen Derrick Co. Chicago. ILL. Winch is mounted to heavy timber skids with urethane coating. Pipe leg corners and cherry wood frame supporting the top are also urethane coated. The glass top shown is 42” x 48” x ½” and is NOT INCLUDED in the sale. I can add the glass at extra cost but it would probably be more cost effective to purchase glass locally rather than build a crate for it and ship it. The base could easily support a much larger glass top. Similar to one seen on the TV show American Pickers and similar to the one they have for sale on their website(in my last picture) This light is in working condition with what looks like a newer power cord and a new plug I put on it to see if it works. Up for sale is this heavy duty reclaimed wood table. Table legs are heavy heavy cast iron legs. They came off a LeBlonde lathe. The legs are probably from the 50's. They look like they have been painted 100 times. Very cool pieces on their own. The top is hard wood. Possibly maple. It has dents, dings, and holes in it. Some burns and nicks. Minor paint marks. These give the top piece a lot of character. Both pieces came out of an old factory in Detroit, MI. The size of the table top is 58" X 28" X 30" tall.
