Vintage, casement window stays salvaged from the windows of a former cream production plant(see last photos) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's, however, these most likely replaced the originals sometime during the middle of the previous century. Each stay is made of solid steel. And was originally brass plated. Much of the plating wore off over the years leaving them with a nice, distressed finish. The amount of plating varies from part to part(see"Group photos" to compare) If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. It keeps the window open at a specified distance from the sill. When you wish to open the window, loosen the knob by simply turning it in a counter clockwise direction. Open the window as far as you like, and once you wish to lock it in place, simply turn the knob clockwise until can't turn anymore. This will prevent wind from moving the window. At the point of salvage. The stays were painted, dirty, and rusty(see"Prior to restoration" photo) Since then, we've spent hours removing the paint, cleaning the dirt and rust from the outside of each stay, and greasing them to facilitate their movement. Antique/Vintage Architectural Window Sash From 1800's Farmhouse.Some Wavy Glass
This is a really neat 4 pane window from an old farmhouse that was built in the early 1800's. I was there when it was torn down and the main part of the house was a log cabin that they had put hand planed poplar siding over. I'm guessing from talking with the owner of the old house that the windows were put in in the late 1800's around 1870 or 1880. I have 7 of them. All very similar in appearance and condition. The glass has wavy spots that are really interesting. The wood frame is very solid. The window could actually be cleaned up and reused! No rot or insect damage. The window frame is 28" X 28 3/4" X 1-3/8" The actual windows are 25-5/8" X 5-1/2" The nine pics shown are all of the same window.

Large Antique Architectural Salvage Window Frame; 29" x 46"; old barn
Thanks for looking. This is an antique window frame measuring 29 inches wide at its base and about 46 inches tall. I was told that it was taken from an old barn. Built about a hundred years ago. No glass on this, just the frame, but it is in fairly solid condition. With that said, there are some spots that should be recognized by the buyer(see photo#2) It definitely has that distressed/ weathered look to it. Description This is a beautiful stained glass window that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. There are 7 lites forming an arch within the rectangular frame. There is no glass. The frame is painted on both sides. One side has raised panels in the corners. It measures 74.75 inches wide by 16 inches tall and is just over 1 inch thick. Overall it is in decent condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. It needs some bracing in the corners. Please look at the pictures carefully. Ref: 41076 Shipping. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. This is a great piece. The frame is rectangular but the glass forms an arch. There are 14 pieces of glass separated by wood mullions. All the glass is beveled all the way around. There are no cracks or breaks. The frame is pine and is unpainted. It measures 48 inches wide by 17.75 tall and is 1.5 thick at the crown molding. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The frame has cracks on both sides and will need a couple of screws to secure. Easy Fix. The glazing putty around the glass needs to be filled in. Please look at the pictures carefully. Aside from the worn and peeling paint the window frame is in good solid condition for it's age. There is some minor rot in the lower left hand corner which should be an easy fix. There is some old yellowed calking material on the top of the window frame which I'll have off in the next couple of days. You can use this item as a replacement or a new/old window installation. Description This is a great set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They are both painted on both sides. The one on the left has a Gothic Arch and no glass. It measures 34 inches wide by 18 tall and is 1.5 thick. The one on the right is done in a Queen Anne style with 9 pieces of glass and wood mullions. There is a diamond shaped piece in the middle. All of the glass intact. It measures 33.75 wide by 18.25 tall by 1.25 thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but should clean up nicely. There are small nails and screws in the frames from curtain hangers. There are some small ships to the frames.
