Vintage Antique 6 Pane Wooden Window with Mirror Panes.
Vintage window with mirrored panes installed. This one is a six pane window. All the old lead paint has been removed and the frame was then painted a light maroon. After that. I painted it white with a crackle finish to allow some of the maroon to show through. This gives it the appearance of being weathered. This particular one has a 5/8" x 7 1/4" shelf installed for knick knacks.Key hole slots are installed on the back to allow it to hang flat on your wall. I make these windows as I get them with many variations, such as color, antiquing style, shelves, planter boxes etc. and sell them at craft fairs and flea markets. You will love it! Here are a great set of antique window shutters from my old Victorian home. There are 3 pairs or 6 panels of window shutters. They measure 5 ft long and 38 inches wide per pair. And they are 1.5 inches thick. They are in very good condition except the one widow pane that got water damaged at the bottom of the window, see photos) All the trim moulding is present as well. Most have their original glass panes. There are 14 panes to each window. These are true divided panes. 6 Antique Victorian 1880's Sulphide Glass Red Snowflake Curtain Tie Back Guerin
A rare set of six ca 1880 Victorian 2 1/2" in diameter sulphide glass curtain tie backs with red snowflake center design and Greek key surround. The glass medallions are 2" in diameter and rise 1/4" from the rim of the surround. The turned wooden posts are 3 3/8" long and to the end of the screws they measure 5 1/2" They are unsigned but are most likely from a maker like P. E. Guerin. Please feel free to politely offer your opinion. They are in very good condition. You may find a flake or two off the side rims of the glass. But nothing that detracts in my opinion. They are part of a life's collection from a major CT collector, a portion of which is shown in the last photo. A similar pair recently sold on eBay for $200. This window came out of a Pennsylvania home built in 1900. Its 327 3/4" X 31 3/4" X 1/4" thick. The old glass has that wavy uneven structure to it(the original panes) One pane has a crack in it(see pictures) Windows in this condition and this old are hard to come across. Each pane measures 10 by 12 inches. There is no glass in the frame. The old window still has most of its shabby white paint. The frame is solid and very old. All the hard chalking has been removed from the frame's window panes and it is ready to use. The old farmhouse frames are fun when decorating with antiques or for creative art ideas. Penn Antique Restoration. ~ 10 available ~ Antique 35"x32" French Sash Windows w/6 Glass Lites. Although there are 10 available. The list price is for 1 window. If the quantity above is less than 10, this indicates that 1 or more sold. Lovely. Antique French windows salvaged from a former cream production plant(see last photo) in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The plant was built during the 1890's and many of the windows were original to the plant's construction. Although a few windows may have been made after that period; all are solid wood. Each window is made of solid pine and has 6 true-divided, glass lites. No hardware included. Each window is painted white on the interior side and green on the exterior side. We could either completely strip the paint. Or prep the surface of the windows for a fresh coat of paint. Email ... moreus with a description of what you would like done. The quantity of windows you need, and we'll give you a quote. We found one pair of windows that were stripped at some point and finished with a clear coat of lacquer. We've included a photo to give you an idea of how these windows look under the paint(see 3rd photo) Condition: The windows of the plant were replaced with energy efficient windows. Not because they were in bad shape or defective. All of the frames(sashes) are in good shape with no breaks, cracks, or serious flaws. All glass is intact. The lites are secured with old-fashioned glazier's putty on the exterior(green) side. The condition of the putty varies from window to window. Some of the putty is weak and brittle. And some windows have sections of putty missing. Worst case, brittle or missing putty must be replaced with new putty which could be purchased online or at any hardware store.
