The man who sold this one and a few others to us recently said that they were wheel rims from a 1932 OR 1936 model vehicle. I THINK he said they were for a Ford but I'm hoping someone who knows will pass the info on to Rick and I. Regardless. You just don't come across these much anymore. Surface rust as indicative of age but no holes! I just shot it with a colorful combination of John Deere green colored paint and bright yellow spokes. Up for sale is one of these vintage cast iron/metal steampunk farm plow spiked gear wheels. These gear wheels are great for yard or garden decor. Wall displays and even repurposed in making furniture or steampunk creations. Each wheel is missing one spike and has very similar wear from age as the ones pictured. The wheels vary from 17 1/4" to 17 3/4" in diameter depending on the wear to the ends. The center hole has a diameter of 1 1/8" and the wheel is 3 7/8" wide. Vintage Wheel Hoe Walk Behind Garden Plow Cultivator Planet Jr or similar
The 6 spoke wheel is 15" diameter and 1 1/2" wide. The overall length is 24" it has 5 tines or prongs, the wheel rotates freely, there is surface rust all over but the entire unit is very strong and useable. This could easily be used if you add handles but are often used for garden decoration. All solid steel and built to last, I cannot find a name on it, but it looks similar to Planet Jr tools i see listed on ebay. All payment methods accepted.

Up for bid is a very nice condition solid cast iron gear. Cog, or wheel. Found at a farm auction some months back, I purchased it to make a table for a client, who after the purchase changed her mind, typical. So, without further ado, it is up for sale or bid for that matter, to the highest bidder. The gear or cog is approximately 14-3/8" in diameter and has a center that protrudes out from the wall about 2-1/4" deep. It has a wonderful 4-leaf clover design or a quadrafoil to those of you who think in religious terms. It is rather heavy, probably weighing in around 20 pounds at least.
