Vintage W L Davey Corp Cast Iron/Brass Hand Well Water Pump Farm Tool Primitive
Vintage pump marked W. L. Davey Corp. Rockford. Ill. This pump measures 20" tall, the base is 9" x 4 1/2" and the handle is about 18 1/2" long. The top spout part is threaded and is 1" the other one 1/2 way down is also threaded and is 3/4" The body part is brass as well as some of the other fittings, the rest is cast iron. The handle moves freely, there are no cracks, welds or breaks in the cast iron. There are various cast#s on a few of the parts, see pictures for details. Hasn't been tested or used in years, might need new"guts" or would be great for garden decor. Ships USPS Standard(economy) or Priority w/$5.00 handling which includes tracking and insurance.

There is no reserve on this great pair of old garden tools. We have an old fork with metal prongs and a wooden handle. The paint is original with nice amounts of wear. It would be a great display piece. We also have an old trowel with very nice paint. But the handle may be a repaint. Both pieces are very sturdy and certainly could be used if desired. This old sprayer is made of solid copper and brass, and has a handle made of wood. It still retains the original label! The entire sprayer is made from solid copper with the exception of the long tube and nozzle tip which are solid brass. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with a very nice patina, although it is probably no longer functional due to the age of the rubber seals. The copper tank measures 4” in diameter. Vintage Thrown Italian Olive Pottery Jug 1960's 0143 We've carried these old Italian Olive Jugs WHEN we can find them. Our dealier imported CRATE loads of them several years ago. Unfortunately MOST of them were just crushed by the time they made it to his warehouse. They had stacked them one on top of the other in wooden crates with NO padding(ugh) It was only mostly the later(1960 ish) ones that survived the trip. The reason being that they are much THICKER than the earlier ones. This is one of the lucky few that somehow made the trip.although it DOES have several cracks that you can see on the interior which have been crudely repaired on the outside(pictured below) Regardless. The jug is SO thick that it displays BEAUTIFULLY. The interior is glazed. I love the droopy neck on this one. BOTH handles are intact. Antique Vintage Chandler Co. Cast Iron Well Cistern Hand Pump NO SPOUT
This is for the Antique Vintage Chandler Co. Cast Iron Well Cistern Pump pictured only. This was a recent estate sale find. When I aquired this item something about it just did not look right. After looking it over I realized that it was manufactured without a spout. It is missing the pump rod and since it has no spout there probably should be more to it. But i don't know what it would be. This will not stand up on its own and will need to be supported in some way. This has a lot of surface rust but there are some very small areas where the original red paint is showing through. I have looked this over and everything moves as it should and could not find any cracks, breaks, or welds. This item will be partially disassembled for a safer and more cost effective shipping. Windmill Water Pump, Challenge Co., Hand Lever, Cast Iron, Vintage, Farm, 1492
Used. Windmill or Hand Operated Water Pump Housing, Lever and other components. Manufactured by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois, probably in the 1920's but I'm not sure of an exact date. Nice looking cast iron pump housing. Lever and pivot. Base would allow anchoring for display(I'll include a"dummy, not original equipment" sucker rod to help position handle, not pictured) or use these good components for repair parts! The numbers"1492" are cast into the lower part of housing. These might be a model number. Not sure. Challenge Co, Batavia ILL is also cast into the housing. The number"18" is cast into the lever, the letter"C" on the connecting link and the number"919" on the parting rod guide. The pump housing with the pivot casting on top, measures about 45-1/2" ... morein overall height and the base is about 10-1/4" diameter. The handle is about 39" long as shown in the picture. There is evidence of possibly factory"as manufactured" repairs on the spigot. You can see small rectangular pieces of what appear to be cast iron inserted in a couple of spots(see pictures) There is also an old"weld repair" to the housing. Just above the end of the CHALLENGE CO/BATAVIA ILL script(see picture) There is a small"notch" in the base edge and other nicks and dings from use. I don't see any other repairs or cracks but without putting water to it, I don't know for sure. There is a"cast line" on the side of the base of the top casting that looks like a crack but when examined from the inside/end, there is no crack and it is evident that it is"as cast" This IS NOT a complete working pump. Other components not included in this auction would be required to make this item function as intended. Shipping note; these items will ship by UPS in two boxes due to the total weight. Vintage Barn Find NOS Small Hand Seeder
Here is one of the neatest little seeders I have ever seen. I would say it is probly from the 50s. I didn't real find it in a barn. It was hanging in an old garden shed. It does not appear to ever have been used. The can is the size of a 1 quart tin can and has a little wire that spins around to keep your seeds stirred. You use your thumb to let the seed down.
