PUR Backpacking water purifier hand pump
Had to relist this. Buyer never contacted or paid for this. This is for a PUR backpacking water purifier that works by filter and hand pump. It is in perfect working order and would be great for someone who need to be able to get clean water, pack lite, but doesn't want to spend 300 dollars on a pocket pump. It doesn't come with a filter but you can get a replacement filter cheap enough, katadyn filters fit this type of PUR pump. Comes with the tubing and prepump filter which is all in working order. I'm getting rid of this because I'm consolidating my gear and don't need this pump anymore. It is very lite, probably less then 10 oz, 5.5 inches long by 3 inches wide. Has a great pump return, last time I used it, it was probably around 40 pumps for a liter. Easy to use, easy to store, and if you get it cheap. Vintage W L Davey Corp Cast Iron/Brass Hand Well Water Pump Farm Tool Primitive
Vintage pump marked W. L. Davey Corp. Rockford. Ill. This pump measures 20" tall, the base is 9" x 4 1/2" and the handle is about 18 1/2" long. The top spout part is threaded and is 1" the other one 1/2 way down is also threaded and is 3/4" The body part is brass as well as some of the other fittings, the rest is cast iron. The handle moves freely, there are no cracks, welds or breaks in the cast iron. There are various cast#s on a few of the parts, see pictures for details. Hasn't been tested or used in years, might need new"guts" or would be great for garden decor. Ships USPS Standard(economy) or Priority w/$5.00 handling which includes tracking and insurance.

This old sprayer is made of solid copper and brass, and has a handle made of wood. It still retains the original label! The entire sprayer is made from solid copper with the exception of the long tube and nozzle tip which are solid brass. It is in excellent cosmetic condition with a very nice patina, although it is probably no longer functional due to the age of the rubber seals. The copper tank measures 4” in diameter. The markings I could find were McDonald and Debuque. I unsure if it is in working condition. It could be the handle appears to move up and down pretty freely. This is for the Antique Vintage Chandler Co. Cast Iron Well Cistern Pump pictured only. This was a recent estate sale find. When I aquired this item something about it just did not look right. After looking it over I realized that it was manufactured without a spout. It is missing the pump rod and since it has no spout there probably should be more to it. But i don't know what it would be. This will not stand up on its own and will need to be supported in some way. This has a lot of surface rust but there are some very small areas where the original red paint is showing through. Used. Windmill or Hand Operated Water Pump Housing, Lever and other components. Manufactured by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois, probably in the 1920's but I'm not sure of an exact date. Nice looking cast iron pump housing. Lever and pivot. Base would allow anchoring for display(I'll include a"dummy, not original equipment" sucker rod to help position handle, not pictured) or use these good components for repair parts! The numbers"1492" are cast into the lower part of housing. These might be a model number. Not sure. Challenge Co, Batavia ILL is also cast into the housing. The number"18" is cast into the lever, the letter"C" on the connecting link and the number"919" on the parting rod guide. The pump housing with the pivot casting on top, measures about 45-1/2" ... morein overall height and the base is about 10-1/4" diameter. The handle is about 39" long as shown in the picture. There is evidence of possibly factory"as manufactured" repairs on the spigot. You can see small rectangular pieces of what appear to be cast iron inserted in a couple of spots(see pictures) There is also an old"weld repair" to the housing. Just above the end of the CHALLENGE CO/BATAVIA ILL script(see picture) There is a small"notch" in the base edge and other nicks and dings from use. I don't see any other repairs or cracks but without putting water to it, I don't know for sure. There is a"cast line" on the side of the base of the top casting that looks like a crack but when examined from the inside/end, there is no crack and it is evident that it is"as cast" This IS NOT a complete working pump. A just out of the crate GEM chain pump[ patent date Aug 25 1903] It measures 37" tall and the cap is 6 1/2" wide by 14" long. I cleaned off 100 years plus of dust off of it. Looking at the pictures you can see that the handle and spout and other hardware was hanging from a wire down inside of it. Everything on the pump is in excellent condition. No broken or bent pcs. I put it all together and it turns like it should, but it could use just a little oil. On the top part one can see some of the packing paper still stuck on it. I never used anything but water to clean it up, so if someone uses the right cleaning solution on this pump it would look even better. The outside housing is galvanized steel, it does have some blemishes on it, but I seen no dents or rust. I do not have the chain part that somehow runs on the wheel to bring ... moreup the water, so I would have to say this pump is for decorative purposes only. The packing crate would go with it. I would repack it the way it was for shipping, and box it up with heavy cardboard. Shipping to the lower 48 US States only. On Nov-17-13 at 09:18:50 PST. We picked it up at an antique sale a while back to sell here on Ebay. I believe it is an antique hand pump sprayer or was at one time. Now it is basically a piece of history like any other antique. It would make a cool piece of yard art on a farm or old country house. The hose is pretty stiff so I don't think it is functional anymore. It probably could be if you wanted to do some work to it.
