Vintage W L Davey Corp Cast Iron/Brass Hand Well Water Pump Farm Tool Primitive
Vintage pump marked W. L. Davey Corp. Rockford. Ill. This pump measures 20" tall, the base is 9" x 4 1/2" and the handle is about 18 1/2" long. The top spout part is threaded and is 1" the other one 1/2 way down is also threaded and is 3/4" The body part is brass as well as some of the other fittings, the rest is cast iron. The handle moves freely, there are no cracks, welds or breaks in the cast iron. There are various cast#s on a few of the parts, see pictures for details. Hasn't been tested or used in years, might need new"guts" or would be great for garden decor. Ships USPS Standard(economy) or Priority w/$5.00 handling which includes tracking and insurance.

Antique Cast Iron Leader Hay Trolley Unloader Carrier Old Farm Tool Pat. 1889
I am listing a beautiful cast iron Leader hay trolley or unloader in excellent condition. It was manufactured in the late 1800's has a patent in raiswd letters on one side. This trolley has not been repainted but has been cleaned and give a coat of clear laquer. The cast iron polished up rea nice and has a beautiful patina. A lot of these old hay trolleys are absolute works of art. This one included. If your looking for a standout display piece you might want to consider this one. It is 17 1/2" long x 12 1/2" x 7" wide. Both sheaves and all 4 trolley wheels turn smoothly. There are no breaks or repairs. Hay trolleys are a great representation of early life on the farm and are very collectable. Antique Forged Iron Farm Garden Row Stake Pole Tool Plant Rope Guide primitive I believe these are antique garden stakes or poles used to make straight planting rows in the garden. The forged iron stakes were used by a real English gardener on a wealthy estate in New Jersey during approx. 1940s-60s. The estate featured a farm and employed a blacksmith for decades. Therefore most likely these were forged on the farm at some point. Both stakes feature a spear at the bottom, one having an"eye" at the top and the other a"grid" to wrap the rope around- the grid is free to spin around, making winding up the rope easy. The simple stake measures 26" long and the larger one measures 28" long. The rope may be original, however I'm not certain. This is a hard object to describe but will do my best.found at a tool sale this is a rusty piece of metal farm equipment or tool of some kind. It has three legs with screws and bolts and a large heavy spring type thing which is 4 inches with a valve screw part on the end. So this is pretty old as my Grandpa made it for her shortly after they married and Gram always used it every year working in her large garden to carry her plant starters. Tools, and gloves. She refused to ever upgrade to something new. He pounded it back together several times as she refused to toss it out. This 40" long(when assembled) pump garden duster was my grandfather's. There is quite a bit of aging to it. Rubbed paint, small dings, and some surface oxidation. The Corn Boss is one of those tools that helped ease the work when most tasks were done by hand. This is a leather strap that ties around the hand and holds a blade that extends below the fist. Antique Hand Held Scythe. We found it hanging on the wall as a decor item in an enclosed. Garden porch at an estate sale. It's not marked for maker or age, my best guess is that it dates to around 1930. Wooden handle. The blade is held to the metal curved part by 2 rivets. The blade is about 12" long, it weighs 1 pound. Condition: A lot of wear on the wood handle; splits. Scrapes a few little paint spots. All metal parts are covered in rust. No dings on the blade, all the parts are tight. All questions are welcomed. Old hand sickle sythe True temper NOS salesman sample farm tool store display
Up for auction is a vintage true temper hand scythe or sickle. It is a very small farm tool that is in fine condition. I believe it is NOS tool. If it was used it was used once to test it out. Or for demonstration. It has a few minor scratches on the metal. The handle is a bit dirty but retains all of the original finish. There is some minor rust at the blade mount plates. I think it is a salesman sample or store display. It just under 17' long and the cutting edge is about 8 3/4' long. I also believe it is from the late 50's early 60s' Any information will be appreciated. Antique American Scythe. Early-20th Century Reaper. Garden or Farm Tool.
Travel back in time with this vintage scythe. From the early 20th century. It belonged to the Ohio parents of the late husband of the 80-year old woman whom I bought it from. Measuring about 5' long with a 2-1/2" blade, it is still functional, though the blade is dull. I assume the wooden snath is made from oak, as it is quite hard. The lower part of the snath is charred, having evidently been used to cut a grass fire. When shipped, I will unbolt the chine from the snath. The metal chine is quite tarnished and dull, but is still in good antique condition. This scythe will look snazzy displayed on a living room wall, like how a rifle is displayed, or just displayed on your porch. It is DEFINITELY a conversation starter.
