Vintage 1944 TRADES GRUB HOE adz axe wood root chopper Antique tool Rare Nice
Vintage grub hoe. Unusual spade type. Nicely marked"RADES 1944" on inside of metal blade. It has only some light age to the wood handle. Tiny open grain cracks but no serious splits, much better condition than would be expected on this old of an item. Metal is good condition with some rust, but little if any pitting, and is still fully sound. It is about 36 inches long overall. Metal head is about 9 inches long and 3 inches wide. This bird cage is absolutely fantastic! It is warm. Quaint and cozy. It is country shabby and French chic. The measurements are 22 3/4" x 18 1/2" x 10 3/4" Inside the cage is an old nesting basket and original swing. The doors are intact. The door on the right has an old wire repair and is missing the closing hook/latch. The bottom pan is missing and wires that are to be under the pan have come loose from their wood supports. On the front of the box it says: KEEP IN DRY PLACE RUMFORD. On the sides of box it has: 2 DOZ. 1/2 LB. CANS, RUMFORD, THE WHOLESOME BAKING POWDER, on the bottom there is something written, but I'm unable to read it. I believe that this box is from the early 1900's. The corners are dovetailed jointed. But the bottom is nailed along the outer corners of the bottom edge. Still has the original soft patina, with some scuffs, nicks, chips to the pine wood, missing one small section on the back of the box(please see all pictures) This box is still SOLID and in good condition! This is a very cool old cooking basket for over the fire. Comparisons that I could find call it a popcorn basket. But if this was used for popcorn you would have to use foil in the bottom. You could cook burgers. Hot dogs, fish. Corn.etc.Great for camping! The basket measures 11" in length. And 7.5" wide, 3.5" deep. The wood handle is interesting because it actually has imprints carved in it for fingers and thumb. So. The underside of the handle has 4 spaces for fingers, then on top, there is one for your thumb. The steel wheels roll independent of one another. None of the weathered wood is broke, gouged, split or rotten. I would guess this is vintage 1920s, you be the judge. The wheels as well as the center reel move with ease. There are hints of the original red paint on the frame. All metal parts have some surface rust only. Up for sale is the classic pre-1920 cast-iron push mower with a wooden handle. It still works but is probably a better decorative item than functional one. The defects are as follows: one wheel has a chip of cast-iron missing and generally has a coating of surface rust. And the wooden roller that sits at ground level behind the blades has some dry-rot. This item is too heavy to ship and is for pickup only. This was my grandmother's lawn mower and has been in my house which I purchased from her since the early 1920s.

Dimensions of the four against the wall are 7" tall x 4 3/4" wide x 1" thick and the four in the front 6 3/4" tall x 5 Wide and 1" thick. The nails have been snipped off of the backs. Few nail holes on the fronts. A couple of nicks and cracks to the backs. The wood is very solid on each and they are in very good condition. Antique Hand Held Scythe. We found it hanging on the wall as a decor item in an enclosed. Garden porch at an estate sale. It's not marked for maker or age, my best guess is that it dates to around 1930. Wooden handle. The blade is held to the metal curved part by 2 rivets. The blade is about 12" long, it weighs 1 pound. Condition: A lot of wear on the wood handle; splits. Scrapes a few little paint spots. All metal parts are covered in rust. No dings on the blade, all the parts are tight. All questions are welcomed. Antique Vintage Five Arm Hand Held Seeder Wood Handle Works No markings. Sorry for the yellow tint to the second photo. Caused by the blue background confusing the camera. Unusual in that there are five instead of four seed-throwing arms. Action seems normal except that the wear of the gears on the shafts has made them loose and the large gear wobbles. But works. The flow of seed is started by pulling back on the lever on the side of the platform and holding it or locking it in place. All nails and screws used to attach the various parts parts of the seeder to the platform are not authentic vintage. Diameter of seed-throwing plate about 11 inches in diameter. Replacement platform is about 15 inches long, 4 1/4 inches wide. This is a very nice 1920’s weed cutter. Made by Lively Ladd as states the branded stamp on the tool. This item has a great. Rich patina on the solid oak wood. It has been cleaned up and waxed to bring back the beautiful, rich wood grain of the oak. It is in perfect condition with no splits or cracks in the wood and all the fasteners are present and tight. It measures about 37” tall and the metal blade is 12” long and 1 7/8” wide. It weighs about 2.5 lbs and could still be used in the yard.

This auction is for an old wooden holder. This could be used as a waste basket. Umbrella holder, or even a planter. It is made of wood. I would guess it to be around 100 years old. It has a nice worn look on the outside but still has a nice look to it. The inside has what appears to be the original paint. It stands on four legs. Structurally it is sound. It is really well made and really sturdy. Also the bottom of the feet have a metal insert in the middle for it to sit on. The bottom may be the only thing not original that may have been replaced at some time, it look like a composite of some kind where the rest is solid wood. Also not sure how it is put together however I see no nails but it is sturdy more so than glue points would have been, real tight joints maybe mortised. Lovely old hand-made seed display in pine. Beautifully built. With tiny nails well-hidden, cut-away front, and nicely finished. Lovely old patina. A few water stains. As seen in the photos, but structurally sound. Retains an old label. Fits both the smaller and larger seed packets. I have used this to sort all my packets. With two for veggies and two for flowers. I imagine it may have sat on the counter of a country store each spring. Offering packets full of the promise of summer bounty to the patrons. Measures 18" x 13" x 4-1/4" A bit dusty. It could use some Formby's to even out the wood tone, but I'll leave that to the new owner. The only box I have to ship it in is a computer box. Which will protect it well but it heavy, so shipping reflects this(and I'd rather have it get to you in good shape.

Old used cast iron wood Cook Stove Top. I do not know what this fits but perhaps a Round Oak or a Monarch. Overall length is 21-3/4" Width is 11 inches across the top. There is a 1/2" lower edge below the top along the one side that extends beyond the 11" top. The two burner holes are 8-1/2" diameter. Photos show bottom and there is a" RO-6-A-36" followed by an" 8" in the corner of the casting. Perhaps the RO is indicative of Round Oak. Good used condtion. Vintage Antique Shabby `Wicker n Wood` Basket Barbola Roses Chic 1900s
Vintage Wicker and Wood Barbola basket! This is absolutely beautiful. It's in the shape of an Easter Basket. I can't find any damage to it with the exception of one area that looks like a few spots where white paint got on it. Yet I'm not sure if it is paint or something else. See last photo. I circled all the areas in that picture. It's nothing real noticeable. To give you a little story about this basket. I was asked to stop by someones home to help clean it out and to take anything we could use. In looking around in the attic. I opened a garbage bag and found this basket. I wasn't aware of the age of the basket. I just thought it was beautiful. On my way out. A family member said. I haven't' seen that basket in years" He went onto telling me this belonged to his grandmother and his mother inherited it after ... moreher passing. Color is hunter green with gold peeking out here and there. Paint is original. There is no damage in the wicker or the wood that I can see. Both sides are decorated with a beautiful swag of Barbola roses. Dates back to the early 1920s. He couldn't give me an exact age. ANTIQUE AMERICAN PRIMITIVE FARM FOLK ART GARDEN TOOL- FLOWER PLANTING& SOWING STEEL& WOOD-HANDLED CLAW CULTIVATOR TOOL. This is an antique gardening tool and is a nice example of an American folk art small gardening farm implement with its wood handle and talon-like claw with 5 long steel tines. The handle is wood in original black paint. The age of piece is evident on how the end of the handle was wrapped in burlap cloth(see pics)this burlap textile may have had a washer or nut over it at one time-please view pics of this feature and area and note. It is in very good used period condition with no holes-splits-dents-cracks-chips-very minimal rust in a few small areas, not bent, is intact and tight and structurally sound and stable, handle not loose, measures approx. 7.5" long x 2" wide, is clean. ANTIQUE CAST IRON & WOOD PUSH GARDEN SEEDER PLANTER - RED & GREEN - NEVER USED
This listing is for an authentic vintage antique garden tool. This is a small push-style one row planter or seeder. I can find no makers or patent markings. It was a wooden drive wheel. And Cast iron frame with furrow opener. Interior is tin or light steel and is a two-part drum with diamond shaped openings. Sliding the two sides together increases or decreases the size of opening to determine seeding rate. It has a two bolt clamp to go on a wooden handle. I did not find the handle. it must have been repurposed by the original owner. There is a small bent rod at bottom that would drag as the furrow closer. Wood wheel is held on shaft by a single cotter's pin. Removal of this pin and the wooden wheel would allow the tin drum to be filled with seed. Wheel is 9" in diameter, and cast iron part is 12" in total length. This planter ... moreappears to have never been used. It is in excellent condition. Antique Copper & Brass Plate Pump Mister Sprayer Wood Handle, Coarse/Fine Adjust
Antique Copper& Brass Plate Pump Mister Sprayer Wood Handle w Coarse/Fine Adjuster This is a charming. Fairly large antique hand pumping water mister or sprayer. The container is solid copper with a brass bottom that is approximately 5” tall by 5” in diameter at the bottom. Made in U.S.A. is embossed on the bottom. The container has a bumpy dent on the front(see photos) and numerous very fine, light scritches. It appears that the screw top is also brass, or brass plate over copper(on one side, you can see wear to the gold-colored plate that fades into the deep umber color of copper, and there is the green oxidation that copper shows; see photo) It has a dome on the top with a groove in it; the brass tube of the pump is soldered into the groove. The pump tube is 14” long. At the top in is a is a small nozzle with a hole at the tip; this ... morefits onto a brass screw and you can adjust the mist from fine to“coarse” by turning this fitting. This info is made clear by directions embossed on the tube: Adjust Nozzle” with“Fine” and an arrow pointing right below that; and“Coarse” with an arrow pointing left below that. The nozzle unscrews easily. Two little screws(not philips) at the bottom end of the tube allow you to remove the end to clean it out. The end plate is a hard, old rubber still in good condition. The rod of the pump appears to be iron(there is some rust near the handle) and the handle is wood. The tube has a couple of small dings, a tiny dent on the lower side, and a ½” long shallow dent on the upper side(photo 8) there are also two areas with beige paint spots. One of these is a 1.25” long drip(photo 7) the other was a.25 X.5” splotch. I figured these spots could be removed with my fingernail, and sure enough, they can. What I found when I removed the small spot is that the tube is also really copper with brass plate, as the plating came off with the paint(photo 4) I decided to leave the drip to the buyer’s discretion to remove or not. Vintage Antique Hand Held Sickle (Sythe). 15" Wood Handle, 20" Blade Hand forged
This is a sickle or scythe as far as I can tell. The blade is on the outer edge though. And I honestly don't even know how to use it. This at one point belonged to my grandfather and my dad won't let me scrap it. I find modern cutting methods a bit more precise and powerful. But respect that there's a bit of old time charm to this thinge, it might make a nice wall mounted piece or something. I'm also selling some old pruning shears. This is a Fantastic Antique Wooden Rake Head Makes the PERFECT Unique Primitive"Peg Rack! Just a wee bit of history. Prior to the 19th century. Making hay took few tools: a scythe. Wooden rake and a pitchfork. Farmers cut the hay. Raked it into piles, then pitched it onto a wagon. Early in the 19th century. Horse-drawn sickle bar mowing machines came to the hayfield. Now a man could cut more acres of hay per day with the mowing machine. But he could still put up only about two ... moreacres a day. Even though the scythe had been put away, farmers still had to rake the hay into doodles(piles) and fork it onto wagons. This is one of those Rakes! ~ Photo's really say it all ~ Your going to LOVE it! It's about 32 1/2 inches long- Sticks out about 7 1/2 inches. Already has 4 holes for Nails to Hang.
