Antique French Architectural Wrought Iron Panel
This is an Antique French Architectural Wrought Iron Panel. We do not know specifically what sort of piece this came from. But it looks like it could have be from a section of ornamental fencing or gate, a pediment or top piece along a fence or gate, or from some other sort of piece. The person we got it from told us it was sold by an antique dealer who regularly imports containers of antiques from France. As you can see the section was cut at the ends such that the left and right sides are not symmetric. The overall maximum dimensions are about 33" wide by 16 1/2" tall. The profile of the wrought iron is about 1/2" x 1/4" The piece weighs nearly 10 pounds. Condition: The piece was painted a slate blue color as seen in the closeup photos in the lower photo group below this description. There is both quite a bit of paint ... moreloss and surface rust as seen. The piece is offered as found/ as seen/ as described. At the time of the original listing on regular ebay auction this was one of a number cast iron pieces we had offered for sale. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It has an arched top with hoops. There are great cast iron embellishments on the uprights and inside the hoops. The crossbars have large cast iron flower where they intersect. There is surface rust overall. It measures 43 inches long and is 42 inches tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a couple of light bends. The keeper is damaged. One embellishment is missing. There are three"hairpins" or hoops between the side bars. There is a horizontal a curved support bar below the hoops and a horizontal straight bar at the bottom of the gate. There are two support bars in the shape of an"X" with a metal flower medallion in the center. There are two brackets on one side complete with a thick and heavy gate post. Please see all important shipping information prior to bidding! Up for sale is an Old Antique Vintage Architectural Garden Gate Fence with Posts. This came from a very old local estate; I'm sure it's over 100 years old. I was told that it was made by the old Tredegar Iron Works in Richmond. VA. It's a very heavy, wonderfully ornate decorative fence. It was encased in concrete at the house when I obtained it. There are J hook rods through the bottom of the posts. You could probably re-use them if needed, or just cut them off if you are using this for décor; as they are not needed for display purposes. This item is just the panel part of the fence. With 2 posts. There is NO door or gate function; this doesn't function as an actual entrance gate or security fence. As you can see from the photos, all 3 parts are separate ... morepieces and would need to be reassembled/put back together to make 1 full piece again. The posts are sort of loose and would need to be put back together. The finials are a pretty fleur-de-lis style. This fence would be used for décor or accent purposes. Cosmetically. The iron has an old, vintage, weathered patina. It doesn't get more perfect than this! It measures 4 feet tall and is 5 feet long. Dimensions of the four against the wall are 7" tall x 4 3/4" wide x 1" thick and the four in the front 6 3/4" tall x 5 Wide and 1" thick. The nails have been snipped off of the backs. Few nail holes on the fronts. A couple of nicks and cracks to the backs. The wood is very solid on each and they are in very good condition. The hole for the flag pole insert is approx. 5 inches ID(inner diameter) Made of solid cast bronze. It weighs approx. 45 lbs before packing. This was rescued from a scrap yard before they had time to melt it down. I was told it came off an old building in NYC but I don't know the specific location. Antique Architectural Salvage Fancy Hanging Brass Garden Lantern Made in France
Here for your consideration is an antique/vintage garden lantern. This is made of brass and glass and is marked FRANCE. It measures 22" including the three chain links at the top and is 10" in diameter at its widest. This features 8 glass panels in three different sizes. The middle section is where the door is located. The glass panel for the door and the panel next to it is missing. The door needs to be reattached as well. The upper portion has two glass panels that are broken but they are still in place. The lower portion has no broken glass. The brass frame is ornate in detail and has a nice architectural style. ANTIQUE LARGE HEAVY GARDEN FIGURE STATUE WOMAN JUG WINE ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE
GORGEOUS ANTIQUE STATUE This is one of two statues that I will be listing. They were salvaged from an amazing home in the hills of Los Angeles. They are very heavy. They look like bronze statues. but I think they are cement and steel. You can see the steel from underneath. These are very, very old, from the 1920's at least. This one weighs about 45 pounds and is 30" tall, the base is 9" There is allot of detail in these pieces, look at the art work on the wine jug, such a wonderful piece.
