The map is a double page of continuous paper with a binding strip on the back for insertion in the hard bound book and measures paper size 14 ½” by 22 ¼” with a 13 ½” by 20 ¼” image. The top edge of the map includes Fort Point and the map extends to the West End Syndicate and Bay Park Homestead. It includes Golden Gate Park. Rancho Laguna, Ingleside Race Track and University Mound. There are two small tears. One on the bottom fold and one about an inch to the right, with small folds at two upper corners not affecting the image. The back of the double truck is printed with the maps of Seattle and Dallas. antique San Francisco map advertising the Harder furniture co (1910)
Awesome map of San Fracisco area with great advertisement regarding the F.H. Harder Manufacturing co. Look at pic's closely. Found a copy in the UC Berkley liabrary published by the Thomas Bros. map publishers and they put a date of 1910 on it. Map is in good condition but does have 1- A written in blue on the front right corner and a red line and an 8 in the left hand upper corner and some browning in the middle of the front that you can see but none on the back advertising the furniture. I inherited several hundred maps. Lithographs and blue prints from my uncle who was in the blue print business in Palo Alto, California in the 1970's. His collection of maps mostly all have red reference numbers for filing written on them so my best guess is that they were used as reference maps for newer maps and just general infomation for the ... morebusiness. I will slowly be listing the collection most of which pertain to California and in particular the San Francisco and Stanford(Palo Alto) areas. I have sold some items through Pacific Books Auction gallery that were well received so my feeling is these are very collectable.

Antique 1846/7 Pre-Gold Rush Map of SAN FRANCISCO: 1968 Ltd Ed Repro 174/500 VG
This is a vintage 1968 Limited Edition#174/500 reproduction of a pre-Gold Rush map of Yerba Buena. The original name for San Francisco. It in in color and shows the waterfront with boats and a very few streets and buildings. The paper is heavy and sturdy and the map has no tears. It has very wide borders on the right and left and the left border has spots. Perhaps fingerprints? so it is in very good condition. On the back in pencil it says this is a lithograph. It measures 34" by 23" and has spent its life in a tube so that is how it will be sent. Check out my other items! Baldwin, March- April 1910. Adolph Sutro was a German-born inventor. Entrepreneur and real estate developer who helped shape the landscape of late 19th century San Francisco. Interested in providing inexpensive recreation for the general public, he changed San Francisco's sparse and undeveloped Point Lobos area into a flourishing recreational complex that during its heyday boasted the Cliff House. Sutro Baths and Sutro Heights. www.nps.gov. This very rare copy of Adolph Sutro's Estate appraisal contains 47 leaves printed on rectos only. Plus 62 original silver photographs(5 of them fold-outs) all bound together. 9x11½, gilt-lettered flexible ... moremorocco. The vast real estate holdings of Adolph Sutro, mostly in San Francisco but a few outside, are pictured and described, and appraised. Included are the Cliff House, the Sutro Baths, Sutro Heights, Richmond, Ashbury Heights, Sunset Heights, Parnassus Heights, Napa and Lake Co. Ranch, San Miguel Ranch, etc. Mr. Baldwin writes in depth about the famous properties and how Mr. Sutro's benefactors would best be served with the development of each property. Antique Rand McNally San Francisco Map+Guide Book 1925 Many Cities Highlighted
You may be bidding on what must be a rare Rand McNally San Francisco Guide Book and Map. It was published in 1925 and is in very good condition for it's age. The spine has the worst of it but the contents are very good and the map is excellent. The book describes towns as far south as Monterey and several across the East Bay. It is loaded with black and white illustrations with everything from Yosemite's Falls to the Port of San Francisco. It's over 220 pages with extensive coverage full of interesting facts. The map is extra special and 90 years old. There is also a lot of advertising on the front and back pages.
