UNUSED IN SUPERB CONDITION This map is taken from the 1/2500 plans and reproduced by Alan Godfrey at about 15 ... moreinches to the mile. It is highly detailed, even showing individual houses, schools, works, churches and covers an area of about one and a half square miles There has been two versions of this map published. 1894 and 1914( This is the 1894 version and I am also selling the other versions separately on ebay right now) Showing how the area developed across the years. The maps each cover the same area. Until the 1840s Beckton was"a marshy waste. A notorious venue for illegal prize-fighting" writes author Stephen Pewsey, and these maps still show an area with few inhabitants. The principal feature of these maps is the vast Gas Works of the Gas Light& Coke Company, shown here with all its many railway sidings, and adjacent to a large Tar& Liquor Works. The Northern Outfall Sewer runs across the map, as does the GER Beckton Branch, with its Beckton station. Other features include the group of streets known as Cyprus, a section of the Royal Albert Docks Railway, St Michael& All Angels church, and the group of houses known as Roman Road. The 1894 map also includes a section of Essex Sheet 73.16, which takes coverage northward across the marshes, up High Street South, Gooseley Lane and Claps Gate Lane. The 1914 map includes a 1915 GER Timetable for the Liverpool Street to North Woolwich line, including the occasional trains to Beckton. The map links up with London Sheets 66 Canning Town to the west. 68 Creekmouth to the east. 81 North Woolwich to the south; and with Essex sheet 86.07 East Ham& Barking South to the north which I am selling on Ebay right now. These maps will provide hours of fascination for historians. WOW! Amphicar. Well not exactly one but none the less we know what they were aiming for. This thing is Increbible. liscense plates read DX BORON First off it is in Very Near Mint Condition. Its missing nothing and nothing is broken. EVERYTHING is as near perfect as you will find. Does have a little glue residue from factory where bumpers fit body. Pictures tell all. Second This Amphicar Works and Runs Perfect! By swithching the gear shift forward this little thing takes off with boat propeller spinning just begging to take a swim! It will only run on hard surfaces. No carpet. This thing is Amazing! This car was manufactured by Nichols Industries Inc. in Jacksonville. Texas, USA in the early 1960s and were sold through DX Gas Stations as a promotion for the kids so by that its safe to say this is extremely rare and probably should be in a ... moremuseum. One card is the Shell station in Boulder Creek, another is at the Steelhead Resort at Big Flat, Trinity River, and the third is the little roadside Shell Oil gas stop next to Heard's Market in Litchfield. The Boulder Creek card is postally used, the other 2 cards are postally unused, in overall good/very good condition. The store is still there, but Shell no longer operates in Litchfield, I understand. Not sure if the other places are still Shell's operations. Buyer pays $1.65 shipping and handling in the US.

This is a vintage street map of Chicago and vicinity by the H.M. Gousha Company for DX Oil gas stations[of Tulsa. Now a part of SUNOCO] published in 1959. The main map shows the area between Kenosha and East Chicago, west to Elgin and Aurora. It includes indices of cities and towns, Lakes, Parks, Forest Preserves, Airports, Points of Interest, and Golf and Country Clubs, and a list of toll highway interchanges. The reverse includes a street map of downtown Chicago, a map of the Hammond, Gary, Michigan City region and a map to aid sight seeing, including traffic rules. The downtown map also includes an index of points of interest. The map measures 18 x 27 inches. It is in good condition but does show wear. The covers have a few stains and are dirty. Inside, the map is better with no ink marks. Some small tears at folds. This 50+ year old map ... moreshould show some real changes. This patch went on the back of an employees jacket. 3 X 7 1/2 Mint condition. A friend of mine had an opportunity. He bought the contents of a patch factory. The factory produced embroidered patches from 1926-1972. They made patches on contract with manufacturers and retailers. All of my oil& gas and automotive patches are original and never used.
