2 Antique adjustable curtain rods Victorian ornate ball finial metal set vintage
Take a look at this lovely set of 2 Antique Victorian ornate ball finial metal adjustable telescoping curtain rods with original enamel! The enamel is worn down to the green primer is some spots. And chipped in others, giving it a great shabby chic look! They adjust aprox. from 30" to 50" each half-rod being 27" in length. One set still retains the tips on the ball finials(which are also removable) and the other set does not. You will receive 4 half rods(2 complete rods) as shown in the photos. The rods mount with simple thin nails to your wall, having a drill-through next to each finial. They are fairly straight for the age.

This old piece is marked Cartlands Patent The Convertible. We are unsure of the metal it’s made of but it appears to be bronze. The chain is not original. We think it had a cord of some type. From what we can figure. It looks like this device would open and close the window with a corkscrew movement. When laid out flat it measures about 7” long to 9 ½” depending on the screw adjustment. The base part with the lever is apr. 2 3/8 inches long and apr. 1 inch wide. I recently acquired several large boxes of vintage hardware from a Simmons Hardware in McComb Ohio. Alot of these items are in a marked boxes and have hand writing on the from the old school fountain pens or even quill pens.not real sure. These items were never used and some of them have patent dates from the 1800's. Many pieces are not marked on the item itself at all. Even though these items are N.O.S. some of thes still have patina and some even have some rust from over 100 years of humidity etc. There is so much stuff I do not have the time to clean all of it so a lot of the items will be as found. up for auction is One brass latch. We have 18 in total. buy 1 or All! each measure 5 1/2 inches long. One(1) antique cast brass window latch. Overall these are in very good condition. As seen some have more paint that others left on them. I did not clean them becuase some people like the"chippy" look. The paint does come off relatively easy. All of them turn freely. Some need a little more effort than others but all do move easily. These are solid brass. Please view pictures closely. This style and size and the fact that they are solid cast brass/bronze make these some of the hardest to find latches. With the price of brass and the fact that almost everything today is imported and made out of some type of cheap pot metal makes the likelihood of anything like these being made again slim to none. These are primarily used on casement ... morewindows but they work well and look great on cabinets or other places you’d like to use a unique looking latch. The latch and keeper will work on either right or left hand side of door or window. The latches are surface mounted and the keepers are mortised in the jam. I also have some on another listing that the keepers are surface mounted. The latches and keepers are cast bronze– brass. The working condition is very good with the latches having an age darken spotted patina(what you see is not rust. Brass doesn’t rust)

BEAUTIFUL great antique old vintage SLAG GLASS WINDOW cast iron frame Victorian
AWESOME old three-paneled slag glass window in cast iron(steel? frame. the frame is magnetic and heavy. The window weighs ~15 lbs and still retains some of the hinges that attached the window frame to the house. And there are two small lengths of metal chain that were used to hang the window as a decoration. Overall dimensions of window including frame are 32.25" x 22" x 1" the thickest part of the frame is about 1" thick. The glass is not that thick) Each slag glass panel measures 9.5" x 20" The middle panel has two cracks which both emanate from the same point near the frame and travel in different directions across ~half of the panel. The glass is not loose and the cracks are very hard to see given the color and nature of the slag glass. Look at the pics. This is a very nice set of 4 Victorian locks that I personally removed from a very old home in central Illinois. The condition they are in is exactly they way they were when I remove them. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The locks were mounted on the top of the bottom sash and the catches were recessed into the jamb. The 2-inch lock bolt extends about ½-inch into the catch and can be retracted flush by pulling the knob and twisting it slightly. All six locks work well. The lock base is about 1-1/8 x 1-¼ inch. The latch plates are about 1 5/16 inches x 9/16 inches. They all are iron with a coppery finish that appears more brassy in the photos. All have some level of finish loss and oxidation as shown in the photos.
