This neat old trowel is made of heavy duty steel ... morewith a sturdy oak handle-it weighs in at nearly 13 ounces. The overall length is 13 1/2"the blade is 6" and with the shaft it is 10 1/2" That stubby oak handle is 1 1/2" across the top. There is a bit of a gap between the bottom edge of the handle and the shaft but the handle is very well secured.it is not about to come loose. Another neat feature of this trowel is the tabs at the top of the blade.not quite sure why unless to keep you from digging too far down. The blade still has some of the original gray paint and a little light surface rust. It would"spiffy" up really good if you prefer your old tools that way. I have met very few old garden tools that I didn't like but this one fits right in the"best" category. Great for use and wonderful to add to your"growing" collection. Vintage Industrial Steel Light Bulb Cage Cover WITH Glass GREAT Garden Cloche 2! Everything that I am listing this week is from the flea market. And from an auction that we went to. There’s lots and lots of variety, and nifty stuff too- so I hope you enjoy! O.K. Here's the scoop on this one. I purchased 5 old industrial light cages in total from the same dealer and am listing them in three seperate auctions. This one, I am listing alone because it is a different style and patina than the others, and it also has a different glass shade, too. The bottom line is, be sure to check out my other listings because all are FABULOUS! This listing is for one vintage, industrial light bulb cage with the glass shade that you see in my photos. The cage is made of steel wire and measures 7 1/2" tall, 4 5/8" diameter at the top, and 4" ... morediameter at the base in the current screwed position. There is a screw on the side of the base to adjust to your ceiling light- the screw is not very long, only 1" so you take it out to make the cage bottom wider than that for putting on(if you need to) That being said, I could not unscrew the screw- I don't know if it's the rust, my pathetically weak hands, or a combination of both, but I didn't try too hard for fear of breaking it. The patina on the metal is a very shabby worn white paint and you can see looooots of surface rust where the paint has chipped and the metal is exposed. The glass shade measures 7 1/4" tall and 3 1/8" diameter at the mouth. It is a very heavy, thick, molded glass shade that has lots of anomolies original to the making. I'm trying to show you in my photos that this shade is actually marked in relief on the side- there's a mark on top that I cannot read, some type of company logo, and then, Chicago, USA- that's the only thing that I can read- I'm assuming there might be an ILL after Chicago- but I can't see it if there is. I'm trying my best to even have you see the marks in photos 15 and 16- they are

The former owners had lived there since he had gotten out of the military after enlisting during WWII. And her family had been on the property for generations before that. It’s all farm stuff- household, barn, outbuildings, property- many items from the 1800s and up. Lot of old iron, barn digs, primitives and pretties- I’m so excited to show them to you! Enjoy! I'm listing these old Cub Cadet lawn tractor blades as yard art. Not for use, as I have not used them, and don't have any idea how"sharp" or functional they would be. I just loved the way you can arrange them- from a flower, to an N, to a triangle to a 3 bladed fan.the ... morepossibilities are limited to your imagination! Each on measures 16 1.2" long, 2 1/2" widest and has a 3/4" hole in the center, with a 1/4" hole on either side. Each one weighs 2 1/4 lbs- so they are heavy. They have just the remnants of gold colored paint, that goes great with the darkened patina of the steel and the light surface rust that cen be seen all over- more of a covering in the center of the blades, and more spotty on the outside edges of the blades. They are in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally, with no cracks or structural issues that I can find. I do see a CC mark that I think may be for Cub Cadet. These would look so cool hanging on the wall, or even inserted in the ground for your own whimsical iron sculpture! They are barn fresh dusty/dirty and could use a good cleaning. Love the LOOK! Sturdy, wooden hose reel is 38" tall~~the wood frame is 13" wide~~out to out of the 4 1/2" in diameter wheels is 16 1/4" wide~~the bentwood frame lumber is 1 1/2" wide and 3/4" thick. The steel wheels roll independent of one another. None of the weathered wood is broke, gouged, split or rotten. I would guess this is vintage 1920s, you be the judge. The wheels as well as the center reel move with ease. There are hints of the original red paint on the frame. All metal parts have some surface rust only.
