Vintage Antique Large Green Tole Paint Metal Garden Flower Water Watering Can
This was discovered in a very old Thousand Islands camp estate and I immediately fell in love! This quaint early watering can is a large 16" tall with the hinged top handle in an upward position. It is 9" in diameter at the base and from the outer side handle to the end of the spout spans 16" The tole can is painted in a earthy green and has a portrayal of cat tails on both sides in wonderful detail. Even the shadows cast by the cat tails and leaves is depicted giving the painting a three dimensional look. Both handles and the top and bottom of the main portion of the can are accented with black pin striping. The top handle is hinged on each side to that it can be raised or laid down on the upper rim. The outer handle has a hollow grip and a thumb rest. The spout has a right angled end. This can has seen many. Many years of ... moreuse and all of it added to it's charm. There is dents, dings, pitting and rust. The rust is most notably on the very bottom(see pic) It will NOT hold water as there is a rather large hole in that bottom. The side and spout appear to be fine. Still, this is such an attractive old piece it would make a lovely ornament in a garden. Use it as a flower pot or set other objects in it for display! Original primitive watering cans this pretty are a rare find!

Fabulous Vintage Concrete Garden Gnome on Whiskey Barrel Statue Great Aged Paint
DESCRIPTION: FRESH ESTATE FIND. I just unearthed this fabulous vintage concrete garden gnome from the yard of a local estate. The aged paint on this gnome is beyond wonderful. And there is incredible detail in the statue as well. The gnome is sitting on what looks like a whiskey or other type of liquor barrel. It is VERY HEAVY. DIMENSIONS: Measures approximately 17 1/2" tall x 13 1/2" x 8" CONDITION: You are buying this very fun vintage concrete garden gnome on a whiskey barrel statue in"as found" condition. It definitely shows signs of age with some small holes in the gnome's hat and some shallow loss to the concrete. Especially on one of the gnome's arms. I have tried to show all this in several close-up photos. There are no major cracks(just some natural old age separation lines) or significant chips. This is all metal(our guess is steel) with worn red paint on the handle. It measures 10" in length. The center tine is 7" in length, the side tines are 9.5" The metal piece at the top is 4" x 1" weight is 11 oz. It is fully functional and solid. There is a 1" oval opening on the back of the handle for ease in cleaning. The teeth at the end of the tines are in good condition allowing for it's age. Antique Victorian iron garden plant stand primitive chippy original paint folds!
True attic find from my 1897 Victorian farmhouse in the VA mountains. Chippy green paint over chippy yellow paint with rust spots. Much of the house had original yellow paint downstairs and the bedrooms had this original green paint. Based on the history of the house I would guess this item is from the1930's or earlier. And I lean towards 1920's or earlier. The exterior of the claw foot tub in the circa 1920's bathroom was originally painted this color green. About 14" W when open x 27" H.
